Their exploits are for CNN and BBC. They rarely come back to contribute anything to Nigeria. That's why illiterates and whatnots from the north are ruling.
I heard an argument the other day from someone about Nigerians being renowned for their exploits world over and then Nigeria being in a mess. Its almost as if Nigerians believe their academic achievements should automatically make the lives of Nigerians at home better. It doesn't work that way. Even if we have Nigerians leading the best ivy league schools in the world, and they prefer to stay back in America and the UK, Nigeria doesn't benefit anything from them. When these Nigerians abroad start to learn that it is good to give back to their communities with their knowledge and resources, that is when Nigeria will actually benefit from them. As of now, their achievements are personal and of no benefit to anyone in Nigeria.

That is what I call Education Promiscuity. A situation whereby an Educational or Academic institution keeps changing her policy for frivolous reasons.

In due time, I will send a letter of acceptance to the University of Amsterdam, to let them know that we have accepted their offer, and will never apply to their University because Nigerians have better options to pick from.

Without any iota of doubt, I will like to state categorically that the University of Amsterdam can GO TO HELL.

Well there is no point complaining then. If every nigerian aspires to leave Nigeria so they can enjoy thr easy life abroad and forget about giving back their knowledge and expertise to their country of origin, then they shouldn't complain about the state of Nigeria. Only when we have selfless people that think more about their country of origin than enjoyjng the easy life abroad, only then will Nigeria be ruled by thr educated. Till then, Nigeria will continue enjoying political and administrative servitude to the likes of Buhari, Patami and Gumi.

I agree o. School was not scam to me. It opened a lot of other opportunities I may not have gotten with a good degree. It never was and never is.
