Now back to the issue : in your last post you said buddhists do not believe in God or gods, rather they worship Buddha as sign of respect and devotion...right? Good. Now let us get this straight: all religions(except athesim) of the world have one form of deity in which they worship . And unless you want to tell us that worshiping has an another alternate meaning other than reverence to a deity, then I'll accept. So in essence, the god of Buddhists is Buddha . Simple.


Now tell us, how does atheism fit in as a religion. Since quite it obvious that atheists do not have any spirituality or worship for something other than their own stupidity?

P. S : Just of recently, a chap in south-east Asia beheaded himself to honor to Buddha by placing himself on a guillotine and beheading himself. And when the media investigated, it was discovered that such is permissible in Buddhism. And its adherents say that such offering of ones life to Buddha (the god of Buddhism) will allow Buddha grant that person a "higher level of existence".Question : do atheist do such?

We should be careful.

While I agree that atheists in general are more logical than religious people, it is not always the case. There are also many religious people who are logical and intelligent.

However, religion is a major problem in Nigeria.

Maybe, it is time for an atheist president in Nigeria- not just any atheist but a humanitarian and a fearless person who is ready to address Nigeria's problems reasonably.
