I really enjoyed this pepper thread,having read from page 1 to d last,I must confess I learnt a lot from people who has been practicing pepper farming, every one gav what he has not hoarding of knowledge,I just wanna ask if d Avenir F1 seeds not germinating problem has been taking care of in subsequent batches.h
as I have plan to start a pepper farm, although I have sow d local seeds & hav 90 % germination.

i even plan to buy hybrid pepper seeds and the local once to see the difference in results.

Transplant later in the evening after exposing them to sunlight for 4-5 days before transplanting and use compost tea to water the plants.

Compost tea is just manure mixed with water. Remember, don’t let the tea touch the leaves of the plant bc it will kill them. It contains too much Nitrogen

I did my nursery in a take away plastic which I hide in a safe place from the hand of rat, lizard and ant that normally pick the seed from the nursery bed. Some pictures attached

This thread seem to b dead,let those that farm local or hybrid peppers share their stories,d no: of plots, variety,no: of bags harvested, Success of germination, marketing,challenges, newbies that ventures into it tell if they succeeded or fail.

those crops supposed to be one week after germination, keeping pepper indoors can reduce growth,it needs a whiff of sunlight to stimulate growth

My tomato nursery..... Planted it on 26th may 2021....... I have over 5k tomato seedling planted.....Waiting for it to come out so that i can remove on side of the nylon and replace with net to allow good air flow....by the way its not really airtight though as there are 2 to four holes somewhere
Any thing you guys think i should do apart from what you are seeing

Once they sprout which few once has done today.......i will remove one side of the nylon and replace with net to allow air flow.....
And also cover the top with black nylon to protect direct sun....

Thanks. I will take note of the fungicide. As I said earlier I only did the nursery by broadcasting after 21days they were moved into a single bag. Picture attached. Thanks.

please sir are you sure those local pepper seeds you planted will grow to harvest.

because the rate they keep hyping all this hybrid seeds it just seems as if we don't need to plant local seeds again.

my mum sometime planted some local ata rodo and shombo peppers and we harvested them.

but now hybrid seeds seems to be the big deal and i don't just know if someone here will tell me the difference in results of hybrid pepper seeds and the local pepper seeds been sold in markets.

i just know hybrid seeds mature for harvest faster but local seeds i just don't know of it

URGENT PLS EVERYONE..........When applying fungicide to my 14 days old tomato....do i apply in full capacity or reduced capacity... i.e do i use the normal measurement which is 60g to 16l of water or use 1/2 power of the fungicide which should be 30g to 16l of water??
