For people who have crossed over to medicine after getting their first degree , how's the experience ? , how were you able to stay motivated during your first degree ?

I haven't been posted...ABU is running a funny semester at the moment(due to the Covid-19); 2 first Semesters and 1 second semester. They recently rounded off the 1st first semester for the first batch of students. Meaning I'd be resuming sometimes next year at Zaria.

Thanks for asking though.

280+ average will get you Medicine and surgery in UniPort if they use the JAMB and PUTME method of admitting.

However, only UTME and WAEC results were used for this last set bkos of the wanted to adhere to covid19 protocol of avoiding events that will cause people to be gathered together

Please go to an MDCN accredited University for your own good that you know its accreditation won't be suspended anytime. Does FUTO have a teaching Hospital.
I shouldn't be giving this advice but samuelpeters will

It's so disheartening that the school doesn't really fancy degree. The quota for admission posed on them is very small. If only you have IJMB with a min. of 15 points, it would have sufficed greatly. However, you can still give it a trial. Best of Luck

PS: Your state of Origin matters a lot plus very sound O'level grades.

I am from taraba state, my O'level is 9 credit in one sitting but I have C5 in English, Physics, Biology and chemistry. i have B2 or B3 in the remaining subjects including mathematics. do you think I stand a chance or I should apply for masters in biochemistry as a plan-B ?

Your state of origin has upped your chances and your O'level grades are quite plausible. However, you should hold fervently unto your Plan-B, should in case.

You should get MB;BS, all things being equal.
