It depends.

I visited the home of one of my artisans.

Bare wall in and out, no plastering.
Only front door, the rest are curtains.
Bare earth ground, no German floor.
No kitchen, outside cooking.
No electricity.
No plumbing.
No ceiling.

I spent the visit doing a staring contest with a curious Agama Agama. A bird of some sort flew right in through the front door, did a circle and flew out. No one batted an eyelid.

I don’t think you want this lifestyle.

Save more.

This too shall pass.

I don’t think you 23 feet high for bungalow, the highest I did for bungalow is 18 feet with the hight of the tank, probably another 4feet or so with very very good pressure.

I did 24ft last week for 2 bungalows.

bro I have said it here numerous times that the quality of pipes is dropping daily. I even posted pictures of such failures where the tank fell here.

I'm sorry if you feel I didn't explain the situation well for him

Its your job. So you know better.

I use 2mm thick, 3 inch galv pipes. I buy them myself.

And I make sure I don't put heavy tanks on it. Not everyone can afford these H-beam tanks.

I visited my ongoing project just few days before I received my kickoff.

My client had to ask “Won’t you visit the site, other builders have visited the site?”

And I’m like, “Visit the site to do what exactly?”
I’ve seen the survey plan. There’s soil test report. I’ve carried out aerial survey of the land and obtain reports from contemporaries in the area. I’ve had one of my contact secretly visit the site without his knowledge.”

Without visiting the site, I’ve sunk a borehole, drafted the construction schedule, do pre-construction works, conceptualize and designed the building plan using available datas and it wasn’t rejected by the authorities when my client filed for approval.
As a matter of fact, we’ve not had to request for variation of almost all the items quoted for the project except for reinforcement which was adjusted immediately we started the project.

Contractors do get growth hungry and chase projects outside their geographical location or their expertise. At the end of the day, they get caught In a death spiral race just to get work.

_______

I hope my second Oga is not reading this. I’ve not stepped into the Shogunle site one day and we’ve concluded all the designs, filed for approval and awaiting go ahead.

_______

In time like this, contractors should re-evaluate their systems, get lean and focus on their area of core competence.

Excellent project management is mine grin grin

This is mortarless o. You only require mortar in the first layer.

You don’t need mortar. Few of the hollows are to be filled with reinforced concrete by design and this lock all other blocks in place.

It’s a smart way to build if the block design is right.

____

I’ve not used it before but I knew exactly what to do with a solution like this to make it work for me. That’s more reason I’m interested in the mould design.

I’ve not built a house with mortar less blocks but have built retaining walls.

Those blocks are very strong and the lips are very pronounced with zero chipping on the edge. The lips here are troubling because not pronounced enough and easily chipped.

But “aki siwaju eleede peede”. I’ll wait to se you build one.
