We support a negotiated ND republic because our people are there also. As far as they are allowed to exercise their right to choose, it is fine. But an ND republic that seeks to take our people as carved out by the Fulani military without a plebiscite will not work.

Ijaws can have an Ijaw only republic on their own land. This is very OK. But if it is a Niger Delta republic with so many tribes, then everyone had to agree on how it should go. This includes the Igbos indigenous to that region. I think this is fair and just.

I am sure you will rather continue to eat fishes infected with crude oil than have an Igbo man on the same table to discuss NDR. Head or tail, you lose. If you refuse to forge the alliance with the Igbos in the region, the Fulanis will continue to take your oil. In many years to come, the genes of the people living within the riverine communities would have been severely distorted that mutation would not let the race continue. Then Darwins theory would have caught up with a people who did not heed the whistle of the hunter.
