Hey guys!
I was going through the thread below and I was impressed and curious at the same time...

https://www.nairaland.com/6519071/remote-work-experiences-remote-worker

How do you guys stay on a particular project/work for at least 5 hours with maximum productivity without getting tired easily? I noticed must of you work long hours like you're computers.
Do you guys take caffeine or any stimulate to keep you charged to work a long time?
I'm been trying to learn some skills with my phone and I gas out easily. I'm not happy about this as I've given myself a timeline to master certain things but it's not pulling through.
How do I work long hours and become effective at the same time?

Maybe you should try using a laptop to learn the skill and also, don’t make the mistake most starters make in learning a new skill I.e trying to do 10 hours daily right from the very first day of learning the skill. Just go with your pace and start as low as 1hour or 30 mins daily and increase it gradually.

In learning any new skill, consistency is the secret to mastering the skill. Learning the skill 30mins every day is far more productive and better than learning it 15hours once a week.

That daily consistency will make your brain to fall in love with the new skill you are learning and you will start enjoying the new skill and become addicted to it.

Try this approach and you will be very proud of ur self after few months but don’t forget to give God all the glory

I even code more than 5hrs per day. What gave me that edge was a serene environment that is free from noises and any kind of disturbances.
There is always light and a very good New ASUS Laptop M409BA model of 8Gig Ram and 2 Gig AMD Radeon Graphics card.
Sometimes my neighbours thinks I have travelled because I hardly went out.
Programming is fun at the same challenging. I love it and I like it.

You are just like me bro. I make my millions in my room. Some people even think I do yahoo yahoo. Because I dont go out. I am always indoors with my laptop working.

Anytime I am tired I enter YouTube to watch comedy or listen to music.

Thanks for the advice. Money really has to be made. Working 3 tough jobs in different time zones with little sleep warrants excessive caffeine.
I understand bro..Bro spend some money to get some food supplements like deal sea oil..eat more fruits and vegetables bro. They will help you both now and in the future..Pls stop that coffee. Let's think ahead bro.

Coffee is not totally wrong. Just take it in moderation. I take it when I want to work long hours in the night.

Wow
This post makes me feel people are lazy. I work non stop for 10hours on standing while doing dreads for people.
When I do graphics, I do from morning till night, when I'm sewing cloths I do from morning till night with only short breaks for prayers and when I'm not praying, then its a non stop till I finish.
I remember when i was in university, When I read, I read for 24hours with short breaks for solat and water.
If its by hardwork,I should be a billionaire by now,but I'm still not. Being wealthy ain't by hardwork

It is NOT healthy for you to be working long hours, sitting at a spot. It can destroy your lower back spine. While you have to work long hours, take a break every 30 mins to walk around. Don't be seated for a long hours at a spot. Just my advice.

Thanks for the advice brother, my present supplement stack include:

I. Wellman
2. Vitamin C 1000mg
3. Zinc 1000mg
4. Fish oil for Omega 3
5. Reload for men (3x a week)
6. Creatine Monohydrate (to retain musculoskeletal mass i.e to prevent muscle wastage from long bouts of seating) etc.

Despite all these, I still feel very weak and tired, I hardly sleep well, the only thing that keeps me going is coffee, coffee itself has lost its potency in my system, I have to drink 6-9 cups per 8hrs of coding. It is not easy.

For me I don't code throughout the day. The maximum amount of time I spend coding a task at a stretch is 3hrs. After that I will take a break where I surf the internet, listen to music or sometimes even watch an entire anime episode. Infact I'm posting this message from one of my 'breaks' cheesy

Hardwork alone may not make you wealthy because you need a combination of things all together. You need a combination of luck or prayer, open mindedness, good decisions and friends who will constantly give you information.

Recognize your strength and capitalize on it, from what you wrote:

1. You can make clothes.
2. You can do media graphics.
3. You can read for long hours.

Which one of these can give you quick money and you're better at? Capitalize on that.

I agree with everything you said except the word luck you mentioned. I am anti-luck person because its more of a negative than positive.
Meanwhile, non of those would make me a billionaire or even a millionaire. Would just keep me among average earners which I dislike, I'm currently ruminating on ideas that would make me a billionaire, if you have better suggestion, kindly give. Also, please don't mention prayers or any old beliefs that never worked for any Nigerian. I'm a realist

Graphic designers abroad make millions of dollars bro. IF you are very good at what you do and you have the right attitude, anything you do will fetch you millions.

It takes discipline and motivation to work productively for long hours. With those two, you will deal with short attention span.

that's unfortunately kinda hard for me. I can't really concentrate for a long
Re: Working Long Hours by IdowuRufai: 6:24pm On May 06, 2021
First is the right mindset, then a good working environment will greatly boost your productivity. I can do very long hours of course with intermittent breaks if I’m full and the environment is right. Also, for some who get rewards or work done, that motivation will push you to get things done irrespective of the time spent.

I can relate with that though. The level of urgency of a task automatically makes me focus. I once tried an application called "Forest", a productivity app that keeps you away from distractions and helps manage your time.

You can try setting deadlines for yourself to complete a task.

Your perception became your reality and that doesn't mean the World runs like that, you need to change your mindset to a positive one.

The race is not to the swift, it may be a Bible passage but It works in every form of life even as an Atheist, It simply means you put in work and pray for luck. I know Junior Software Engineers that are being hired in Germany from Nigeria and people ask how? They are simply at the right place at the right time.

As @yusufu16 have said, If you are very good at what you do and you have the right attitude, anything you do will fetch you millions.

I'm recently working on a combo of two edible organic constituents in powder and liquid form that works like magic with no side effect at all.

I'll launch the product once ready!

Hey, I like this innovation. If you are open to receiving investment in commercializing this at scale pls send me a message request and quote this message to notify me.

Bro since you’re already on Fish Oil, cut out the Wellman, Vitamin C and Reload For Men and get a good vitamin B complex. The easy explanation is they contain nutrients you need in barely there doses and a host of unnecessary fillers. Also get a good quality Fish Oil, it’s going to contain Vitamin C and D ... make sure you get at least 5000mg Omega 3 a day and 10000 iu Vitamin D a day.
Since you’re taking Zinc, you should add magnesium to regulate your body’s zinc and you’re also taking too much at 1000mg .. you should take between 25mg to 50mg a day. You’ll feel nauseous if you’re taking too much.
As a guy Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin D work synergistically and should boost your natural testosterone levels making you feel very good.
Supplement your coffee (caffeine) with L theanine, it makes the caffeine stimulant effect smoother with less jitters while increasing focus. L Theanine makes you calm, focused, zen .... also how many mg caffeine are in those 6-9 cups of coffee ?
Since you’re on Creatine, you might aswell workout to get the endorphins and maximize the creatine gains, it essentially just makes your muscle absorb more water and if you’re carrying that water weight while being sedentary, you’ll feel weaker compared to your normal baseline.

Yes, I'll get a laptop before the year runs out. I'll see if I can get a Bluetooth keyboard along the way though.
The bolded is a solid point. I have issues with consistency though but I'll adjust so that I can learn even if it's one thing a day. I'm on the pathway and my brain keeps reminding that I have to learn something.
My relationship with God has become somewhat complicated but He is merciful.
Thank you boss.
