If U have the official copy, then U can use your phone or go to a cyber to scan & send as PDF.
If U don't have the official copy then U can send a notarized student's copy.
All the best!
Thanks the student copy do I need to send as PDF too?

Does anyone here need help in funding his/her blocked account in Germany or any part of Europe at a reasonable exchange rate? Feel free to send a message.

Thanks.

For guys that used obligation letter for visa application, when you were extending after 3months, did you use the same one from your visa application or you had to get another one from whoever is sponsoring you?

Same obligation letter should take you through the validity of your residence permit (1, 2 or 3 years) when issued depending on the rule that applies to your city of residence.
This means that you will also be using the letter for your residence permit application.

BTW, I did not use obligation/sponsorship letter.

Thanks so much for the response. Wouldn't the original copy be submitted at the Embassy during visa processing?

Please has anyone been able to reach the German embassy visa section via phone recently. They keep dropping the call even when you are first in line of response.

Yes, as proof of fund for sustenance.
But I don't know if it has to be original. Hopefully others can advise. Moreso, the embassy can verify such claims. Alternatively, read exactly what is stated on the requirements for student visa if they included 'Original' copy of the letter.

Good day all,
Its been a while here and I just thought to come say hello to everyone still on this hustle.

Its really worth it, although I see there are now a lot of hickups. I can only pray God softens it for everyone.

I want to offer help in the small way that I can.
Incase you want to send documents to Uniassist or any other schools and you need someone in Germany to help you disperse it so that you only pay for DHL/UPS once from Nigeria to Germany, i can help you.
What I mean is, assuming you want to send to Uniassist and another school, you can package all your documents into one folder and send to me. I will separate them here, send to the different schools for you from here in Germany for FREE.
Please note that this is just a limited time offer. you can mail me on daeveed@freenet.de

Also, for those who want to pay for their Uniassist applications, I can help with that, of course you pay me in Naira and I pay for you in Euro based on agreement.

Cheers!

Bro, this is a fantastic gesture and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say it is appreciated. How long is this offer valid, cos some of the schools I'm applying for just opened their admissions. So will this offer still be valid till next month/late this month?

Hi guys my paddy was just rejected, please how should he go about it? Should he appeal or start a fresh application? The rejection letter is below...

Schr gechrter Mr mudiaga, the German embassy in Cotonou regrets to inform you that your application for a visa cannot be granted after the examination has been completed on the basis of the applicable immigration law provisions. The main reasons for the rejection of your application will be communicated to you below: You have applied for a visa to start a bachelor's degree at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in accordance with Section 16b (1) of the Residence Act. A prerequisite for this is that a current notification of admission is presented. The notification of admission presented relates to the winter semester 2020/21. There is no notification of admission for the current summer semester 2021. You also submitted a certificate from the University of Applied Sciences confirming that the winter semester 20/21 will only take place online. Entry to Germany is not required to participate online. The submitted proof of financing is not sufficient. The blocked account has a monthly blocked amount of € 853.00. However, according to the current regulations, this must be € 861.00 Furthermore, you have already completed a bachelor's degree in Nigeria. The application does not explain why you would like to start a Bachelor's degree in Germany again. Incidentally, the inner-German immigration authority in Hamm has refused to give its required approval. For the reasons mentioned above, the application for a national visa is rejected. Sincerely, On behalf of your visa section at the German Embassy in Cotonou You can file an action against this decision at the Berlin Administrative Court within one month of its notification. You also have the option of having this notification checked by the Cotonou diplomatic mission within one month of its notification (remonstration). During the remonstration, you can continue to file a lawsuit against this decision within the above-mentioned period, but this will end the remonstration procedure and the decision will only be checked in the legal proceedings. If the visa application is rejected after it has been checked by the diplomatic mission abroad. if another decision is issued again (remonstration decision), an action can then be brought against the administrative court in Berlin. Please give reasons for your remonstration and enclose suitable evidence, if this was not done with the visa application.

The reasons for denial is too long, appeal won’t make any sense. The Embassy in Cotonou is more strict than Lagos and don’t accept most stuff you guys submit at DE Embassy in Lagos. You friend should find more genuine reason to go to DE, start afresh and learn from his mistakes.

This goes also for those applying for second Bsc and those whose course can be run online.

Actually stuffs are getting interesting, one of the reason for the rejection was not giving a tangible reason why he is going for second degree having badged his first degree in Nigeria. In a situation like this, what do you think will be the right answer to reason for second degree.

CHECK THE UPDATED CHECKLIST.

Three major reasons I see here.

1. Insufficient blocked account.
2. No letter of presence.
3. Current semester enrollment certificate

I dunno if he can appeal based on these major faults.

Because you have gotten admission and have booked an appointment does not mean you should not keep visiting the embassy website occasionally.

There are changes on the checklist I noticed in March this year that weren't there last year.

This thread is very healthy and informative enough.

With the wealth of knowledge from patriots here, you should not make any error.

May our good dreams come true.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by OdogwuEkeke(m): 4:32pm On May 06, 2021
Actually, it is not.

I have only heard of people applying for master's that are unrelated to their first degree.

Even if you get admission, you need special grace and a strong statement of purpose to get you a visa.

The embassy usually frowns at such moves, they would think you just want to japa by all means.

I have read of many cases in previous threads.

Alright but based on the reason especially the first degree stuff, what's the chance of someone getting visa after badging a Bsc in Int'l Relations but still want to go for Int'l Business/Management

After first Bsc getting a second Bsc is not always positive especially if you are above 28 years old with no working experience with your first degree. Your work experience could be the reason why you want to change career path or to specialize in other field. Generally after first degree people improve with masters and Weiterbildung (Special Training) here in DE without having to repeat Bsc.

In your case ur first degree is similar to what you intend to repeat in DE. Sorry to say it makes no sense repeating Bsc. It would be better if you apply for masters or better still use masters to get into DE and when you re here you can change and go for ur wish degree if that’s what you really want to do.

Note this are just my ideas and I’m not 100% certain of the outcome of your visa application.

It’s good to do things logically and not give the impression you only want to escape Africa problems.

Here's how I would appeal if I'm in your friend's shoe:
1. For reason one, a letter of presence in your school will suffice.
2. For reason two, updating your blocked account with the correct amount and providing proof for that.
3. For reason three, a good motivation letter (well crafted) giving at least three well-thought reasons for a second BSC will do a good job. This is really helpful if you have some experience in the field you're going for the second BSc. You will also need to give reasons why you can't go for master's instead in the same field. I strongly believe he can be considered if his reasons are sufficient enough.

The question that kept running on my mind through out my stay yesterday in German embassy Abuja was, do they derive joy in punishing Africans especially Nigerians?

Appointment time was between 10:30am to 11:30am. Got there some minutes before 9:30am, had encounter with the security guys including a mopol officer, all of them were nice and friendly, and if you were not told you will think I have known them before that sunny morning.

At about 9:45am, I was called in first to observe Covid-19 protocols wearing of facemask, sanitizing my hands, checking my body temperature which was about 36.6 as I saw on the receptionist register.
Then I walk inside the mission's compound and was directed to the VO (actually didn't go there for visa appointment but for certification of documents), walked in and she asked me to have a sit
VO: how may I help you
Me: yes I'm here for documents certification
VO: Can I have the originals and photocopies,
including your int'l passport
Me: I presented all to her

After like 3 to 5 minutes she returned all the documents that I gave her and wish me goodluck, tho I didn't understand what she typed at the back of my transcript but the only thing I understood was yesterday's date.

When I enquire why all visa applicants especially guys going for Bsc will have to move to Lagos for their interview since they stipulated on their website that people leaving in the north should visit Abuja for consular and other related matters, she responded with a smile that "dear its management decision" to keep things that way.
Then I went further to ask why not keep to their position on people residing in a particular region of the country as they stipulate on their website, she still responded with that smile "dear its management decision and there is nothing she can do about it". At this point I got to the conclusion that the mission must have had it as a policy or a way to frustrate Nigerians because' the embassy was kinda deserted, I mean customers were not much (very scanty), only the staffs and security personnel. Yet they found it worthy to allow people going to Lagos for interview without considering the dangers on our roads, and coupled with the current security situation in Nigeria.

The admission letter was for WS 2000/2021 and he was not Immatrikulated also there was a letter from the school that his degree program can be run online.

No Immatrikulation means no letter of presence.

The degree can be run online means no letter of presence.

No prove that he attended any online classes

He can try to appeal but he should be also realistic. If he was the VO and got such application how can he justify it that the applicant is eligible for the visa.

What happened to quality to motivation letter? He has to share some relevant points on the interview day. Perhaps that provides an insight.
A Motivation Letter or Statement of Purpose becomes crucial when:
1. You're having a second degree or higher degree
2. Switching major
3. Applying from a disadvantaged country as a citizen
4. Buttress on your future and humanity development.
5. Wide age gap between your most recent qualification and your newly applied course. It is often mediated by good working experience but for most in Nigeria, the jobs weren't even there! I graduated 2009/early 2010 (education gap of 10 years!), studied Zoology (I am now studying Environmental Science at University of Cologne) and at a low ranking University, DELSU Abraka, a meager 3.6 CGPA, abandoned an MSc course at OAU, Ife from 2011-2015 (which I eventually stylishly used as work and research experience).

An appeal could still work if the pointed errors are adjusted and Fintiba should stop confirming 853€ blocked amount and implement the new 861€. People should continue to ask questions particularly on a forum like this for guidance and help.

Generally and in Africa yes age is not a barrier but German dey look age. There’s something called lückenlos Lebenslauf. It means ur cv should be without gaps which in ur case ur cv and motivation letter should indicate the reason for ur new career path and not after first degree u didn’t do anything reasonable and still want to repeat Bsc
