This does not apply to web payment made using your dollar card

JosephYemsol:

Ketima! Hi!

Quick one pls. Regarding funding your dorm account, how did you get the money into your account? Cos I heard that cbn policies says cash deposited on the counter to account CANNOT be transferred, rather it can only be withdrawn.

Did you get the aboki to transfer to your dorm Acc or how did you do it?.

Please I need your input.

Alchemist01:
Hello Guys,

Which of the GCMS services is the fastest i.e less than 30 days?

And how do I go about getting my GCMS note for my study permit application?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Alchemist01: 9:29am On May 07, 2021
@Pinkey2021 @oyibo4real

What is the process of doing it this way ?

Does it come in soft copy or hard copy?

Pinkey2021:

I believe they’re all the same ie 30 days and above. Takes much more longer these days.

I’ll advise that if you have someone in Canada to order it for you then do so cos that’s the fastest way, and cheaper too I believe.

You can await others input as well.

Hello,
I was denied study permit last year. I want to reapply again this year. I will need a letter of explanation to address the reasons for denial. Haven gone through the list of documents to submit, I can only find one provision for Client information. Kindly advise how I will merge the Statement of Purpose and the Letter of Explanation.

Thanks

Statement of purpose and letter of explanation are to achieve the same goal, so all you need in your sop should be in the LOE so you have a single document addressing why you were refused, this will be merged with all other documents relating to client information

Ok thanks, how will I tackle " the proposed studies do not seem like a reasonable expense when compared to local options".

" Document submitted submitter show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that third party funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course."

Proposed studies: you have to explain why you want to go for that program at that particular time, what benefits does the program has to offer you and your career both presently and in future and how it's relevant to you, why you chose to study abroad and not locally and show how the investment to study abroad will be a reasonable expense to you, generally work on your study plan

Funds: the vo is convinced the fund is available but cannot cover your entire duration of study, so you need to make the vo understand how you intend to pay for your subsequent years of studies eg if your study is for 2 years and the funds you presented can cover year 1,you need to explain how you intend to pay for the second year, where the fund will com from with proofs

Good morning house.

I got a call from IOM Abj that test result is ready and they would be sending it to IRCC soon. They said it was ok. I asked if I could also get a copy of the result and the lady at the end of the line said NO. She said they don't send a copy of the result to applicant.

I thought I read somewhere here that one could also get a copy of the result via mail? Did I read wrong?

I need insights from gurus or anyone with knowledgeable experience.

I'm a graduate of biochemistry 2016 though with a lower grade (3rd class). I intend applying to Canadian schools but I have Nursing in mind.. I tried checking online with a few schools and noticed their requirements were quite high. Although, I came across a few post on some other threads were someone mentioned one could take pre-requisites and then do a 2 year program in nursing, I really don't know how true that is.
I'd love to know if it's possible to switch from biochemistry to Nursing, bearing it in mind that I haven't worked with my degree since I graduated in 2016 but I've been working as a female hairstylist.

Anyone with an idea of how to go about this should kindly share his/her view.. I await an honest response. Thanks

I don't believe its a rational progressive step to opt for an ordinary diploma in Nursing considering that you've not attained any relevant experience in this background. I would rather suggest you stick to a program that is in tandem with your previous undergraduate course in Biochemistry (PGD in Biotechnology) and obtain a work reference letter from a registered establishment to support your application.

Hello Nairalanders,
I am a recent graduate of chemistry in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomosho, graduating with 3.89/5.0 and a ielts band score of 7.5 (my first trial).
I need help on how the whole application works and also needs a mentor to put me through all inorder to make my dream of a better life come through.
I will be rounding up my undergraduate program by June as I hope to get my final results in few weeks time.
I am hopeful.
Thanks for your replies in anticipation

Welcome to the thread, I hope you find your stay here very rewarding and exciting.

Having examined your profile in its entirety, it would be a smart idea should you apply for a Master's program that is reasonable in light with Chemistry. With your modest CGPA, you stand a better chance of getting a partial funding for your proposed program. The best time to begin the process is after you had obtained your final results and transcripts from your University.

For further details, you can always ask your questions here.

To the bolded , No you didn't

Probably IOM Abuja don't offer such service (sending a Medical test result to applicants).

But IOM Lagos do send test results to applicants if they ask for it (by mail)

If I understand correctly, are you trying to determine if the GCMS notes ordered in Canada will come in hard or soft copy like when ordered from a third from here?

I should think that it’s soft copy. I doubt if IRCC is processing/delivering any documents physically or in hard copies at the moment due to the pandemic. I believe everything is processed online and the results sent via email to the email account of the person who ordered it.

This is my understanding though.

My fellow Nairalanders:
Please, help me take a look at my timeline so far and tell me what you think:
February 8 - Submitted Normal Study Permit Application
February 17 - Received offer to apply through NSE
March 5 - Submitted NSE Application
March 16 - Completed upfront medicals
April 12- Medicals showed as passed on my portal
April 19 - Received BVL
April 21 - Was asked to submit Police Clearance Certificate
April 21 - Submitted Police Clearance Certificate
May 5 - Received a 2nd BVL

I feel like my timeline is very weird, what could be the reason for this?
Why do I have 2 BVLs?
