Kelechi Nwakali actually won an award recently. But it was not the La liga Smartbank POTM award. That one went to Espanyol's Javi Puado.

The Award that Nwakali bagged was Alcorcón's Five-Star-Player of the Month Award (POTM) for April.

Owngoalnigeria obviously misread the news info and published a fallacy. And believe me, I know how that happened.

But bottom line, Nwakali bagged POTM for Alcorcón not for La Liga Smartbank.

Spot on Philosopher. La Liga always carry such info on their own awards as it's no hidden thing.
