Please, do we have to blame those paying more to actually get what they want at the right time, many have captured since december without passport, I captured on the 8th of February and no passport yet, all the admission window are closing under my own very eyes because I don't have passport.

The situation of the country is in the state of despondent and despicable, I am not supporting bribe but, probably you can't understand what those in my situation are facing and will do anything possible to get the passport if they have the opportunity in terms of the financial strength or the connection.

I went to one of the local government's here in Lagos and I was told they could help Mr do a birth certificate for 2000 naira. Though I saw the NPC logo on it. I want to know if I can make use of this. Please help me!

Please, we need to be conscious with our statement so we don't add more to the problem, personally I am getting more depressed because of this.

It is well. I am in the same shoes now. I have captured since January with my kids and still waiting for collection. I did it earlier to be on a safe side but I am afraid now and hoping that it won't fall on injury time for me. Will you say someone like me is not serious too?

Most of those I interact with have a passport & they are not even thinking of travelling out yet, even some of their siblings in sec school. If job/scholarship opportunities comes, They've reduced the risk of things going south by having it ready. Look at the case of nigerians abroad being unable to renew their expired passports at embassies last year? How many 10years passport holders do you think would be among them? Very few. Anything nigeria needs you to think & prepare long term.

By the way, Don't get depressed on naija matter, I have family members that were made to miss their paid flight because of related issues like this. They certainly won't make such mistakes next time.

Let's call a spade a spade. Nigeria is an unfortunate and a very useless country. There is nothing bad in applying for a passport few months or weeks before using it.

I applied for mine since 4th of November 2020 at Ibadan passport office. and till date I am yet to receive it.

I saw people who applied since August 2020 and are yet to collect it, while some people who applied within few hours collected their passport. All this I saw with my koro koro eyes.

A friend of mine has applied at the Ibadan Passport Office since September 2020 and she is yet to receive it, her admission in a university in Canada is at risk. Please didn't she apply early enough?

This passport issue has increased my hatred for this unfortunate country, I can't wait to leave for good.

There's no official statement regarding this but it's based on information I gathered from following discussions on here and on their Twitter page. I observed two people whose NIN didn't drop had "No record found" in the description part of their portal. I'm however not sure what "vetted" "approved" and "success" mean.
