Here's the thing. Authorizing the release of the voice notes will confirm 2 things.
1. That Network Providers actually record private call sessions between paying customers without their permission.
2. Make everyone realize that there's nothing like privacy when it comes to the network providers who we trust with our funds and data.

Maybe they're both the same thing but you get the point.
Look for the right and legal means to get your facts else you'll just be the same as the evil people who are fighting to keep this matter silenced.

Best of luck though.
There has never been privacy right from time.

Do you have sense at all, they killed an innocent girl and you keep been bitchy about it. May such befall your close family relatives. Those people are paying medias heavily to cover up this case. You don't have conscience at all.

Do network providers keep records of private conversations?
Yes they do. Let me burst your bubble a little bit, do you know why Glo stopped free mid night calls ( it wasn't because of network congestion)? grin grin grin
Re: Hundeyin Replies Akpabio: Authorise MTN, Airtel To Release Voice Records by princeFAD: 1:25pm On May 14, 2021
Didnt police perform autopsy on the girl's corpse before being released for burial? if autopsy was performed, was there any organ missing? If yes, then it can be concluded that the suspect is a member of an organ fetching syndicate. If the answer is no, then there is a possibility that the suspect may be acting alone.

If other corpses are found buried in shallow graves by the culprit, autopsy should be performed on them as well to ascertain if any of their organ is missing or not

If the network has a recording of the conversation between Kufre and Uduak, the police should simply get a court order to retrieve it. The Telcos will obey a valid court order.
It is the easier said than done. Yes the Telcos have every call record we make but getting a court order for them it to be released is not something you give out like agege bread, it must be proved to the judge, that it is the only means necessary to prove a case, or else it might come back to haunt them. Privacy laws are not beans.

For all the doubters!
Telcos already started recording conversations a long time ago, only that it wasn't mandatory so they can choose which period to record and which period not to as it was based on their discretion. This posed a challenge when the Telcos were ordered by a Court to provide recording as most of them couldn't hence the need for NCC to intervene.

It's like how an ATM operates with footage.

All calls are being recorded and archived currently, any Telco found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.

However, getting a court to request a recording is not also an easy task as they have to scrutinize the reason, aim and relevance of the request properly.

They don't record any calls

All they do is keep logs.

They don't listen to your calls, they don't record your calls, they don't read your sms

Sorry to burst your orwellian fantasies, but they don't.

Telcom companies anywhere in the world have a database for every single conversation on its network from the day it opens business till the day it winds up. They are only required to treat such data with confidentiality. And they are backed by law to do this.

Records of daily calls is DIFFERENT from recordings of daily calls.

The first is a mere log of calls while the second is an actual recording of conversations which is legally not allowed and operationally expensive.

Imagine what it takes to keep the call recordings of 1 million subscribers in one hour.

Also, if telcos start to do it, it will weaken or kill their business because people will lose confidence in them.

ignorance is a disease....calls made are automatically saved on the servers of telecom providers...that is done worldwide...how did you think bill Cosby phone conversations was collected from the service providers which was used as an evidence to nail him during the rape saga??the only fact is that it is illegal for the network providers to release the phone conversations without a court order....

dey cnt do such bcoz its a breach of privacy...mobile network won't make u believe dt they av all ur conversations stored with DM bcoz it makes it easy to trace n track crime if they really wants to..
the only person dt can help is d state governor but when it comes to such kinda dirty politics, all are on d same side n they are no enemies..
so dnt expect udom to dig out facts to nail the suspect if top politicians would get implicated..
he may get a long sentence but snuggled out of prison to anoda county after d whole world av moved on
A valid court order is what is needed...but guess what ??this is Nigeria, the foolish leaders will do everything to kill the case....

It will never be released but someone can do it between both parties and the Police that took over the investigation as well as the LG Chairman that called the dude in
You will hear Akpabio threaten MTN, Glo and others. All politicians like to do is silence. They can't defend themselves and that's nonsense

Freedom of Speech is a convinient Illusion and Privacy is a thin veil of lies - it is meant for those who have lost true freedom and rights that they accept whatever the powers that be tell them.

Back when MTN was serving Blackberry Phones, they saved text messages and call logs and even voice logs - this is how you are able to recover all data on your phone when it is stolen, damaged or lost (it is not MTN MAGIC).

I confirmed this when an error at their back-end started sending me weekly logs of all my BBM and SMS chats after I signed-up up for their Back-up VAS service. I had to call the owner of the text messages that i was receiving her sensitive conversations which included a password to her yahoo account meant for her car-import business. shocked

We also had a Blackberry Enterprise Server in-house which was integrated to our Microsoft Exchange Server. you can see everything at the backend

Telecom companies reserve the right to release your info as long as its authorized and followed due process. I'm sure you dont read T&C. You are not safe!!!!! Some persons can even get it through the back door....

It's not as simple as that.

If I were David I would get that audio thru the Sahara Reporters way.
It happened in the case of Aregbe and Oyinlola. ACN didn't go to court to get any sophena. They bride an Mtn worker to get it for them. Mtn was highly embarrassed. They had to settle Oyinlola for the embarrassment
