In your account, so if your account balance isn't up to £...., No one is sitting around for you to show them the balance or pay it to school as part of your tuition, I think that's wrong, because this same money comprises of your maintenance money which is not to be paid to anyone or school, in light of the above that I know, I don't think your statement is correct, I stand to be corrected though

It is very simple. Take for example, if your maintenance fee is £5,000 and balance of your tuition fee is £3,000, this means you are expected to show £8,000 in your POF before the school issue your CAS right. If you have converted this amount (£8,000) to Naira using the prevailing exchange rate on day 1 and deposit it into your account but along the line before the end of the 28 days exchange rate moved up which means that your POF won't be sufficient anymore and you will be required to deposit additional funds to meet up with the new rate and start counting your 28 days over again.
Instead of doing this, you have the option of looking for funds elsewhere and pay part of your tuition balance to your school. Let say you paid £2,000 to your school. You will now be required to show proof of funds for £8,000 -£2,0000= £6,000 and your school would have updated your records to reflect the additional payment. In this case you will not need to add additional funds to your existing POF and your existing 28 days will still stands.

But the same logic might not hold for visa application if your CAS has already been issued by your school.

Usually the longer you rent for the cheaper it is.
Advisable you rent for about a month, after your 10 day quarantine that should give you enough time to go viewing houses and get a place.

So, look for "houses" instead. You can search for one-bedroom houses, two-bedroom terraced, semi detached or detached houses or self contain houses. If you are searching for flat, it will be near impossible for you to get one as many flats are for people who don't have children.

Also, it's best if you try to use places like www.openrent.co.uk as you will be talking directly to Landlords and you can negotiate with them. If you go on Rightmove, you will be speaking mostly with agents. I hope that helps.

I have children, I live outside London and I live in a flat. Getting it wasn't so difficult. I definitely don't see any discrimination between the type of dwellings available to renters with family except the usual one of central city locations being more accessible to new arrivals than the "whiter" suburbs. And while London is the most diverse city in the UK, it doesn't mean that the rest of the UK is full of discrimination.
