SlayerForever:Blood is thicker than water! When Nigeria disintegrates (once Igbos leave, that’s when you’ll know the rest two-faced hypocrites don’t love Nigeria), Ndigbo in the south-east wouldn’t even need to ‘force’ Igbos in the present south-south to join....they’ll do it of their own volition! Don’t even be surprised if non-Igbos want to join us too, by way of a federation! |

blues234:up to 95% of Ikwerres were on the side of BIafra during the war. The post-war politics and psychological threats backed by the Fulani-inspired federal government, forced the Ikwerres to start distancing themselves from the larger Igbo body, especially as they were in a non-Igbo dominated state, with the fact that PH which was the oil headquarters was in Ikwerreland. The threat on them was too great so they did what they did. While I am not a fan of forcing people into the Igbo nation, I can almost guarantee that when the chips are down, and a referendum takes place, Ikwerres will rather go with people with whom they share the same language and culture, than go with an amalgam of a motley crew of people with various languages and cultures that are not related to theirs. |

Norwichsailor:We did not form Nigeria, the British did. Its one thing for the British to do it, its another for us to try and do it. If Nigeria breaks up it would be easy for all the Igbo speaking people in Nigeria such as the SE, Anioma, Ikwerre Rivers Igbo and Igbos of the lower to converge, speak one language, understand each otter and form a country. However, when you bring Bini, Urhobo, Ijaw, Efik, Ogoja, Ibibio etc together, they will never understand other or be able to merge their different diversity to do so because nothing brings together. Most of them dont even know anything about each other except yo call themselves "Niger Delta". Now if all Igbo speaking people down to Ikwerre people, decide to be one country, you will find that it is almost Impossible for an Efik man to visit a Bini man without going through Igbo territory. The number of waterways and creeks he would have to navigate makes the almost impossible |

kollinzgee:Did you give a good thought process when you vomited the above crap? How could Igbo grab Igbo whether in south-east or the so-called south-south? Igbo is Igbo everywhere in world since Igbo did not and will never loose any territory to any ethnic nationality in Nigeria or elsewhere. |

Norwichsailor:Why are you responding to that imp? He knows nothing about Igbos both those in the SE and those scattered in both SS and middlebelt. You can see from his response to your post that his ignorance is incurable. Leave him to remain so. |

helinues:Most Nigerians tend to show their ignorance on a jiffy. The so-called South-South does not own any land. However the ethnic nationalities own lands. Ndigbo know their ancestral land boundaries and the claim to the land is not negotiable. The states Gowon created did not change the composition of the ethnic stripes or coloration of lands. An Igbo person in Akwa Ibom or Cross River or Benue or Edo or Kogi or Bayelsa State has the same ethnic composition of Igbo person from Imo, Abia, Rivers, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu or Anambra State. |

gidgiddy:Actually, I expect Ibibios to be able to form a great nation. They have the right temperament for that. They gave Biafra some badass administrators like NU Akpan and of course Obong Efiong. If Ibibios further join up with Efiks, Annangs and othe Akwa-Cross ethnic nationalities with whom they share certain similarities, the nation will be very attractive. The only downside will be that Bakassi will be lost for good, as it will be easier to get with 10s of millions of Biafrans than just a few million Akwa-Cross people, but Bakassi is a small price to pay for ones self-determination. No doubt Ibibios have more in common with Igbos than they do with Edo people, and even Ijoid people with whom they have common land borders, but still I don't see any obstacle if Akwa-cross people wish to join up with the Midwest to form a nation. But an SS nation will be too restrictive for enterprising Ibibios. An Akwa-cross nation will suit Ibibios and the other Akwa-cross ethnic groups just fine. |

Idiko1:Na 3 options dey 1. The Igbo people in South South should relocate to any of the SE states cos they are merely a tenant 2. Carry the land the Igbo are indigenous to in SS and move it to SE region 3. Repeat 1967 history to claim the land. |

IGBOSON1:Forget o. This minority Igbos have their heads deep deep deep in their asses. Don't be surprised if some opt to join a minority country like Niger Delta republic. |
| Re: The Fate Of South South Igbos When Nigeria Breaks. by gidgiddy: 12:24pm On May 15, 2021 |
OfoIgbo:Yes Akwa-Cross can form a country on their own, but not with the former midwest. The reason is that should all the Igbo speaking people in SE/SS decide to form a seperate country, the Akwa-Cross msn will not be able to travel to Bini without going through Igbo territory |

helinues:And town names in the SS like UmuIgbo, Ogwashi-uku, Obigbo, Umuibekwe, Asaba, Igweocha, Ubani e.t.c. so these are non-Igboid towns and the Igbo-speaking people who come from these towns should vacate it for which people? |
| Re: The Fate Of South South Igbos When Nigeria Breaks. by helinues: 12:28pm On May 15, 2021 |
OfoIgbo: When old Western region and Eastern region was dissolved, Gowon the evil genius cunningly cut out majority of where concentration of Igbos are out of the border line.. I am not saying the indigenous Igbos in SS don't share border with SE but if you look at it in extension, you should get what I mean. |
| Re: The Fate Of South South Igbos When Nigeria Breaks. by OfoIgbo: 12:31pm On May 15, 2021 |
gidgiddy:Actually there is a land border between Akwa-Ibom and Rivers state bordering Ogoni and Ijoids on the one side, and Akwa-Ibom on the other side. Of course they will have to go through the Igbo areas Ohambele area of Abia and Opobo of Rivers |

helinues:Please submit yourself to the torture of the critical thinking. What southeast and south-south are you still talking about when the shithole called Nigeria has disintegrated? If at all Igbo shall relocate, should other ethic nationalities in the so-called south-south also relocate and to where? In Igbo lands from Benue, Kogi and Edo to Rivers and Bayelsa are contiguous entity. |

gidgiddy:That is my fear. South south would be the most messed up in the event of breakup because there is nothing uniting minorities except igbos(not even oil). I am from Bayelsa State(Ijaw). The confusion of a south south state can only be imagined. Only a merge with Igbos can give us a sense of purpose. Maybe in future, we can seek to become a separate country after understand how to govern ourselves. |

Akwamkpuruamu:Why is it that most of you think being part of a big nation is the ultimate? Edo will join no one. China is bigger that Nigeria 50x why don't Nigeria join China? Singapore is smaller than Lagos but better than the whole of Nigeria. Ẹdo people want peace and continuation of our culture |
