Long story bro. Seems am gonna wait 4 years or 5. I don't like saying my personal stuff online, but in summary, i loved the military very much since growing up. My uncles, cousins and my elder bro are in the Army. I got admitted last year. I dashed grin. My senior brother didn't know about it for a month. When he found out, he made sure i got registered for 73rc. Atleast i made history. First guy in the family to dash grin

- Still on JF-17 Thunder.

- It seems Nigeria Air Force is now producing unguided rockets. See 2nd image.

- GIDAC is still very much active.

- MI-171 helicopter finished maintenance in Kaduna.

* The look of Kainji is really impressive.

* The drones are coming this year.

* NAF is definitely not satisfied with the current numbers of platforms. Acquisition of more platform is on the table.

Very logical decision, better than the 76mm low velocity, I just hope it has EO and flir , good digital fire control, this is what we need in 30mm, as a plugin to the new hardwares....some things we have are over kills in too little quantities to be effective....let's have our over kills in effective numbers and things ike this .
They all come with fire control and EO flir.
Guess what these babies are very cheap compared to all these modern IFV, the only disadvantages these babies has its her weak armor.

Some people know how assets in the military operate, so dont need to reply. But it seems some here have no idea.

For example, some here advocate buying 1/2 of something and think that's enough.
Let me come to the point: 3 of anything in the military, if you're using it properly, means only 1 operationally.

I'm sorry guys, but I have to tell you: if you buy 12 tanks, only 4 will always be available for ops if you run a proper logistics chain. You put in more than that and at some point, all 12 won't be available.

If you have 3 jets, only 1 should be available for ops. Yes you can fly all 3, but inevitably all 3 won't be available at the same time.

This is why the immutable laws of logistics exist: 1 in ops, 1 in training, 1 in maintenance.
3 of everything, if you want to operate them efficiently.

And that includes people (soldiers) : 1 soldier in the field; 1 in training for deployment; 1 having come back and resting/going on courses etc.

The 1/3 principle is most sacrosanct. Ignore this and everything goes arse-about.

Two soldiers have reportedly been killed by armed bandits who abducted a Chinese man in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.

The bandits had attacked Libale community in Nasko, Magama LGA but security operatives on ground engaged them in a gun battle.

Daily Trust also learnt that the resistance led to an exchange of fire between the bandits and the military.

A security source, who spoke under anonymity, said two soldiers were killed in the attack while several others sustained injuries.

A resident said the bandits ran into “mountain Libale” which is a popular place in the community.

Security operatives are currently combing the mountains and the forest used as cover by the bandits.

The Chinese man is said to be one of the workers of the construction firm handling the road construction in the area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached for a comment of the incident, as calls and text messages placed to him were neither replied not answered.
