Now, the same nigga you all don't like said he doesn't make money from your Nigeria and you all are still angry.

I don't understand Nigerians o.

Because he won a Grammy now, he’s no longer a Nigerian artiste? The shows he had organized and people turn out en mass for is called what? Are those people the whites he’s worshiping? The guy sings well no doubt, but he needs to respect the audience. Even those that have won Grammy more times than he has are still humble.

U have to respect ur fans to stay on top!!

Ungrateful, arrogance and pride..how can 1 person have these at once? its really messed up..if naija comot hand for ur matter, its only a matter of months b4 u come begging.

The day Burna performed in Rome, this rubbish habit of his asking bodyguards to remove someone frm the crowd..he tried that rubbish in Rome..the guy they bundled wanted to call the police but the show organizers had to beg this guy for almost 30minutes, finally compensated him with 500euro..if he had called the police..the show would v ended, the guard will definitely be arrested and the organizers would lose money and the fans that paid to come watch u(including d one he ordered to b thrown out) will b disappointed.

HAVE SENSE BURNA
I will learn from this when I go international in 3 years time...
hope you gonna be my fan grin

Nigerians should give him one more chance.

If he misbehaves again, use him as an experiment.
Don't listen or trend his music anymore.

So that others will learn.
Lol...check the analytics of Burna boys music. The USA gives him about 5 times the revenue that Nigeria does. France is second on the list...people that don’t even understand what Burnaboy is saying.
Kenya gives him more revenue than Nigeria.
Most Nigerians don’t stream/pay for music from official sites. We either download for free or stream from sites like Naijaloaded.
How is the artist going to make money?
If you cut the whole Nigerian revenue from Burnaboy, it’ll take away btw 5-10% of his listens.
He’s not lying...you can ask any artist around you with some level of influence...they mostly make more from outside than from Nigeria...except if they decide to hold concerts.
It’s not really our fault...a stream from this country is worth much less than a stream from France/ the USA.

Please be careful with ur words brother

I'm one of his biggest fan. I use the GIANT emoji every time on my WhatsApp status to caption his pictures.

But now I HATE him ehn. He should stick to his UK fans, since I'm useless to him. I hardly download songs, all I do is stream his songs on boomplay.

Grammy winner, Burna Boy has come under attack for saying he does not make money from Nigeria.
Burna on Tuesday while responding to tweets by fans on Twitter said he is not a Nigerian artist and does not make money from here.

According to him, Nigeria is just for cruise.

His fans did not take his comment lightly as some went online lamenting about the number of times they streamed Burna’s music and attended his concerts.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter;

@Enacruzly “You are indirectly saying, we the fans in Nigeria streaming your music are not adding anything to your growth.”

@Bright_r “Burna Boy says he’s not a Nigerian artiste but can’t make a hit song without stealing lines from Fela music. The irony. Someone should remind him that 60% of his biggest songs came from Fela.”

@ DavidRegha “Burna Boy you are still a Nigerian artiste, winning a Grammy and having collaborations with foreign artistes won’t change that; Nigerians are the reason you are thriving in the music industry so stop feeling pompous. This attitude is the reason a lot of people dislike your personality.”

@Iamcandychief “Does that mean the person that said your success is tied to Atlantic is right? If you don’t make money from Nigeria, so why the Naija concerts? If you don’t make money from Nigeria so why are you using Afrobeats to make money?

@DekingKudos “If that’s the case, I think you should just make your next album unavailable for your Nigerian audience and let’s see how far you will go.”

@Greatkd2 “Na only Burna Nigeria fans I pity Sha

All your efforts wey you dey use stream that zoo album Burna still say he no dey make money from Nigeria.”

@Carbon3_0 “Sigh but I dey stream your music with money.”

@Innovativenig “You changed your dealer? You shouldn’t be caught tweeting this man! A lot of us including myself pre-ordered your albums. So how about your endorsements chief?

@ImmanuelSaba “So, Nigerians streaming your music are doing charity, noted.”
@JoeyAkan “ Burna Boy is stating the truth. The Nigerian music industry is growing and there are multiple income streams being created. But the current Holy Grail of Nigerian music is when the music travels and earn forex. Musicians make more money outside Nigeria than within the space.”

@Otunba “Lmaooo Burna don finally accept say Atlantic dey buy streams for am, baba say he no dey make money from Nigeria? Outsiders that paid for Burna’s concert in Eko hotel in 2018 in the mud.”

@Itzbasito “Burna Boy no rate his 11 outsiders at all, imagine saying na only cruise they give you.”

@ Dammy426 “ Our bragging right don increase, as Burna denied himself as a Nigerian, Wizkid is now the first and the only Nigerian artist to win Grammy.”

Even if all that is true, what difference does it make?
Is there any artist anywhere in the world that’s universally liked?

Success does not come only from support...
It can also have its roots in (overcoming) adversity and struggle.

WITHOUT NIGERIA, THERE WOULD BE NO BURNA BOY...
He may be something else (even richer), but he wouldn’t be Burna Boy.

It's probably Nigerians in the Usa, France that still streams his music
If that was true, then we can also assume that it’s the Nigerians in Kenya that stream his music so much that it surpasses those of Nigerians living in Nigeria.
That is unrealistic. It was even because of International recognition that Burnaboy blew up here in the first place. Most Nigerians didn’t care about his music before then.

Nigerians just want him to lick their feet.

They’ve been shouting “Pride goes before a fall” since the 2013 headies . Man has gone from glory to glory since then, even winning a Grammy. If Nigerians had the key to this guys’ destiny, they would make sure he becomes nothing in life.

So you actually think if burna boy was Kenyan, he would have been where he is today.
He did not capitalise on Nigeria afrobeat to get to where he is.?

You think if burna boy was Kenya, he would this successful?

Do you know how much Nigerians in diaspora do to market Nigerian music.?

They should make him an experiment.
Stop trending his music anywhere in the world and watch him slowly fade away.

Most of these streaming apps always provide streaming reports. Burna knows those streaming his songs, where they live, etc. Boy has seen that home based folks are nothing but nuisance. All they do is pull you down with negativity.

They did to Mr Eazi, man ran to Ghana and became a star. They did same to Yemi Alade. Right now, she no even send any bloddy Nigerian to stream her songs. She knows where her fans reside. The list is endless.
