hello house,

In order to avoid delay by Nigeria bank sourcing Pound sterling to pay the school initial deposit, can i pay the school using an uncle who already reside in the uk,?
i intend to fund my uncle's nigeria bank account while he pays the tuition fees in the uk using my details.

is this a smart move and what are the side effects??

thanks.

Hi guys,

I have an issue bothering me.

My parent is willing to sponsor my husband to go and study in the UK while I apply with him as a Dependent. I already have a UK masters degree but presently in Nigeria.

Based on what I have read on this thread and on the UKVI website, He cannot use their account since he technically has no ties to them. My issue is:

1. Do my parent need to send the entire funds into my account (N20,000,000 equivalent) and then we (husband & I) both use my account to apply or do they need to send it to his own account?

2. How do we move that amount into my own account or his without it been termed as money lodgement.

Please note that the money is available for our use.

What rate will the uncle be charging , if you do a form A you don’t need to source pounds from anyone , all you do is go to your bank or a bank that is fast with form A and get your transaction done

Awwn Essex somebody lol. Is your application over four weeks? I believe they will respond soon cos I am also waiting.
But If your application is over 4weeks, I will advise you have a back up and as for if it is too late to apply for September intake it depends on your course. You can start checking tho. I wish you the very best.

It’s actually over 4 weeks. I applied 2nd of April.

All the best to you too.

I do not quite understand this question but if your uncle is paying from the uk, it is only safe to assume that he’ll pay GBP right??

The person said she will be give the money to her uncle , he will be paying with GBP but at what rate, he is not sponsoring her, she is funding the uncles account

I'm waiting for my passport renewal to start application. I applied for renewal on 10th May and the Immigration officers said it will be ready in 6 weeks time. I just pray its that day to avoid delaying my application.
Who else is going to University of Lincoln??

Your parent can send the money to your own account since you are applying with your husband.
The money can be transferred via internet banking according to the bank daily limit or your parent visit the bank to do the transfer

Money lodgement is usually not an issue for student visa... you can always explain that the fund is from family ....

If you and husband are applying together then yes you can put the money in your account

I'm great to be part of this great NL family. Pls, i intend to apply with my family(couple with 2 kids).

1. The father's name on children's birth certificate is Sabur, while the name on the passport and sttment of a/c is Sobur, but the same surname. Any problem on this?

2. Pls, kindly send the list of Universities that accept HND for MSc in the UK.

Thanking you in anticipation.

So I tried paying my tuition fee of 12,600 but first bank told me today that the max I could pay was £10,200. I would like to pay the full tuition because of the discount I get. I would like to know if I can pay the remaining 2400 pounds (form a) from another bank account cause first bank said I can’t use them this term again

I think you should correct the children own, you need to align the name of the children with what is stated in your husband's passport and statement acc to avoid been refused a visa. Names are quiet important in visa applications as well as in relation to dependants, it should be handled carefully not confusing or complicated. Imagine an embassy with thousands of applications daily, they could delay your application trying to figure out something cooking,if you don't handle it with good explanation they may refuse you..it will save you stress to first sort the name issue first before applying.

The second question has been answered by someone here before this page you may refer to pages before this one, also check out good affordable schools with your google search engine.

Good luck.
