How is it that you can claim with confidence that Nigeria bought and inducted Block III JF-17?

HumAngle gathered that after his bodyguards were subdued, Shekau surrendered and engaged in an hours-long meeting with the ISWAP fighters. During the parley, he was asked to voluntarily relinquish power and order his fighters in other areas to declare Nai'a (allegiance) to ISWAP’s authority. They had expected Shekau to issue a statement.

If this is true, then the Civil War might continue a while longer, Shekau should have already have a line of succession and his successor or successors would want to continue the war(I pray they do because they might chicken out and surrender).

This means he might still be alive embarassed

Resumption of Updates On Military Operations of The Armed Forces of Nigeria

Troops Eliminate Several ISWAP, ESN Commanders in Renewed Aerial and Land Bombardments

By Be Onyeuko- May 20, 2021

Troops Eliminate Several ISWAP, ESN Commanders in Renewed Aerial and Land Bombardments

Recall that the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs have conducted several operational visits to the various theatres of operation. They have been interacting with commanders, troops and other stakeholders in various theatres. Also, a Security Summit was held in March 2021 at the National Defence College with relevant stakeholders in attendance. In accordance with the theme, the Summit was aimed at promoting understanding and collaboration of stakeholders and key players on the kinetic approach that is expected to facilitate public support for kinetic action in Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency (CTCOIN) operations in Nigeria. Furthermore, the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs also visited the 6 geo-political zones and had consultations with Government Officials, traditional and religious leaders and various interest groups for the purpose of sensitization on the current security challenges facing the country. These engagements were aimed at ensuring that the Military High Command comes up with improved ways and means of tackling the myriad of security challenges across the Country in partnership with other stakeholders.

2. In the same vein, on 5 May 2021, the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs had interaction with senior media executives in “Open Ears Press Dialogue”. As you are aware, some topical security issues were enumerated and discussed extensively during the interaction with the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs. Sequel to that, we are now resuming our usual updates on the unrelenting and committed efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies in tackling security challenges facing our dear nation. Today’s update will cover the combined operational efforts of the land, maritime and air components across the country between 1 and 20 May 2021. These operational efforts of the Nigerian military are intended to achieve sustainable peace and to ensure normalcy returns to all troubled zones of our dear Country.

3. Within the period in focus, troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria remained resolute in their operations and engaged in series of kinetic and non-kinetic operations in all theatres of major and subsidiary operations. We have also worked cooperatively and in great synergy with other security and intelligence agencies to gain several successful and credible outcomes in our operations. For land operations, our gallant troops have been actively engaged in constant clearance patrols, ambush, raid, picketing, cordon and search operations as well as artillery bombardments. In the maritime environment, troops conducted various operations involving anti-piracy, anti-illegal oil bunkering, anti-crude oil theft, anti-pipeline vandalism and anti-smuggling operations. Moreover, the Air Component conducted comprehensive air operations, which included air patrols, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions, offensive air strikes, air interdictions, search and rescue operations as well as close air support for ground troops.

4. As a result of these operations, our troops neutralized scores of terrorists and bandits including senior BHT/ISWAP and ESN commanders as well as major bandit leaders. Similarly, many of their fighters were incapacitated and their camps destroyed through artillery and air bombardments. Additionally, troops rescued several kidnapped victims and arrested bandits/kidnappers informants and collaborators in different parts of the country. Our operations also inhibited activities of economic saboteurs as well as exposed and forestalled other criminal activities. Troops also recovered large caches of arms and ammunition as well as equipment, vehicles and livestock within the period. In the maritime domain, troops disrupted smuggling activities, immobilized illegal refining sites, arrested some perpetrators, seized illegally imported rice and other contraband goods as well as recovered petroleum products. Although some of our personnel paid the supreme price in the course of these operations, our dogged troops consistently demonstrated gallantry and resilience.

5. You are also aware that the Military High Command has renamed the ongoing counter-insurgency operation in the North East from Operation LAFIYA DOLE to Operation HADIN KAI. This was done to reflect the renewed spirit of jointness in the North East operational environment. The combined efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies demonstrate our commitment, synergy and determination to lay down our lives to protect our great Nation. We will continue to sustain the offensive posture and will not relent until peace is restored to every troubled zone in Nigeria. The general public is also assured of our commitment to protect our economic assets anywhere.

6. As you know, security is everybody’s concern, thus, we encourage every well-meaning Nigerian to support the efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies, by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements to address the threats. The plans and efforts of the criminal elements to perpetrate nefarious activities so as to discredit the government and efforts of security forces will in no way deter us from sustaining the tempo of operations. The High Command of the Nigerian Military wishes to thank the general public for their support and further solicit their cooperation in the fight against criminality in the Country. The Military High Command also commends all the gallant troops of the Armed Forces and personnel of other security agencies involved in various operations across the country for their resilience, doggedness and commitment. Once again, I thank you members of the Press for your continued understanding and support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

JUST IN: ALBANAWY APPOINTED ISWAP LEADER, ARRESTS 30 COMMANDERS LOYAL TO LATE SHEKAU AND TAKES OVER SAMBISA FOREST.

The Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) under the new leadership of Abu-Musad Albarnawy has taken over all territories under the control of late Abubakar Shekau in a major revenge onslaught against the former Boko Haram leader.

The fighters, it was also gathered, have arrested 30 top commanders loyal to the late Boko Haram leader, metrowatchonline.com, learnt that the Commanders include: Abdul Bash, Commander Parisu, Abu Mujaheed, Commander of Sabil Huda, Mala
Ali, Commander of Farisu, Amir Hassana, Commander Garin Dambe, Malam Bako, Commander Hizba, Amir Halid, Commander Njimiya Falluja, Commander Garin Mala, Abu- Fatima, Commander, Gwashke, Kaka BK, Commander Garin Abu Asmau among others.
Others are Alai Bukar, Commander Mina Ngawri, Abu-Ubaida, Commander Jungle Gabra, in Pulka, Amir Abdulrahman Commander, Gobara, Abu Muhammad, Commander Alava, Ali Shara, Commander Yuwe Hanyan Bama, Amir Huzayfa Commander Yuwe Hanyan Welcome, Abubakar Sarki, Commander, Yuwe Hanyan Konduga, Ibn Abbas, Commander Barin Bulla Yaga, Ali Ngule, Commander Madara Mountain among others.

Othes also include Ummati Mai Shayi, Commander Madara Mountain, Mala Musa Abuja, The Chief Bomb Maker, Mallam Bana Sharra, Chief Judge to Shekau faction, located at Garin Mala Hassan, Baba Dr. Konduga, Chief Medical Doctor, Alava Road, Ma’azu Dan Lokodisa, The Chief Prison Officer, Alai Abba, the Caretaker of Women, children, Mala Musa, Chief Mechanic Officer, located at Parisu, Abu Zaid, Chief Bomb maker, located at Parisu, Abu Aisha Special Clearance operations Unit, Fairs, Amir Okasha, Bomb Timer, Farisu and Amir Awana among others terrorists.

Impeccable intelligence sources within the North-east war theatre however revealed to metrowatchonline.com that ISWAP fighters in about 50 gun trucks and dozens of motorcycles stormed Sambisa forest recently forcing Boko Haram Commanders loyal to Shekau to surrender or face instant execution.

This development according to our source came after Abu-Musad Albarnawy, who had gone underground for a while now, was reportedly re-appointed as the new leader of ISWAP in the North east war theatre by the ISIS leadership which has become the major source of strength for the insurgents.

The ISWAP, according to the source, stormed Shekau’s camp’s general area “following massive protests against his leadership style after he had eliminated some top Boko Haram Commanders including Abu-Fatima, his Chief of Staff who doubled as the Operation Commander within the past one month”.

The ISWAP finally resolved that with all the mistakes, Shekau had begun derailing against the main cause they had chatted for themselves and that it was time for him to be taken out by force of arms.

Albarnawi, who claimed he had received directives from the ISIS, maintained that he had been designated by the Amir al Muminin (the IS Caliph) to take over and coordinate all activities of the insurgents under one umbrella for easy movement of funds, weapons and materials.

“The ISWAP and Boko Haram have been engaged in several infighting for superiority among factions resulting in the elimination of dozens of Boko Haram fighters from both sides within the past five years”, said our source.

It is believed that three to four factions of Boko Haram may be existing between Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon and these came about as a result of the dictatorial tendencies of Shekau who had survived many attacks and wounds only to bounce back into reckoning in the airwaves and tubes.

In December 2020, the ISWAP had earlier declared all Boko Haram also known as JAS fighters wanted, forcing most of them to flee Lake Chad, after they reportedly attacked an ISWAP position, took their women and looted their weapons.

In a conciliatory message after assuming office, Albarnawy called on all bandits and offenders to repent and insisted that he is ready to give the headship of the organization to his predecessor if the latter repents from his sins.

Albanawi also came with new policies to work with all Jihadists in the alleged IS West Africa control Territory North East Nigeria.

Intelligence sources revealed that “ISWAP top terrorist, Baana Duguri, may have informed commander Modu Sulum that Shekau had been taken out after his camp was surrounded as a result of a top class tip and the leader with his team started fighting back.

“Obviously shooting ensued between the two factions because Shakau’s men were desperate that he was not to be taken alive. Shekau detonated a suicide bomb and killed himself when he observed that the ISWAP fighters had cornered and indeed wanted to capture him alive.

“It was bloody as the two sides also lost some fighters during the shooting. He noted that even yesterday, ISWAP was pursuing Abu Shekau and he Shekau discarded his cap and ran but today the pursuit ended and he’s finally killed.

Sulum and some other commanders were said to have been rejoicing over the death of Shekau, adding that few members who had fed up with his style but afraid to speak out have started returning to their houses after the news.

Meanwhile the waiting game continues to confirm if the Shekau side will announce a new leader entirely or someone with a sub-title Shekau who had resurrected many times will be allowed to resurrect again.

There's currently no JF-17 in service anywhere in the world that uses an AESA radar.

Nigeria has bought 3 units of JF-17 Block II.

The JF-17 is a 4 GEN fighter jet.

Cockpit's of 5th Generation fighter jets are usually classified.

The F-22 cockpit used to be classified.

The SU-57 and J-20 cockpits are still classified.

The JF-17 is a light weight fighter jets, all information about this aircraft including what it's cockpit looks like is generally open information.

It's a capable jet, but it's not a high end fighter like the SU-30 or MIG-29.

In fact NAF already showed what the Jet's cockpit looks like in their recently released documentary.

I don't know why anyone would have a problem with that except that because it has a Nigerian tag with it. Last I checked I have no proof of you been an aviator in any measure. Alhaji Bashar Saidu Namaska, son of the Emir of Kontagora, is among the persons killed in an attack on the Emir’s farm on Wednesday.

The late son was said to be on the farm along Zuru road in the LGA when the bandits struck.

Some other people working with him were also said to have been shot dead while unspecified number of cows were rustled.

Sources said the bandits also flagged down both commercial and private vehicles plying the road, collected phones, money and other valuables from the people on board.

Those without cash and valuables were beaten up mercilessly and whisked to an unknown place, according to sources.

The late Bashar, who is the Sardauna of Kontagora had, been holding forth for his father, Sarkin Sudan, Alhaji Saidu Namaska, who has been sick.

A government official, who craved for anonymity, confirmed the story.

“It is true that bandits invaded Kontagora town and shot several people and killed the Emir’s son, Alhaji Bashar. His death will be formally announced soon and he will buried immediately.

“He was rushed to the Hospital after he was shot but confirmed dead,” the source confirmed.

The police public relations officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached for confirmation as his phone was switched off as at the time of filing this report.
