Please, I am an 'old-picker'(I picked interest in programming at old age). Challenges are there because I work and I have chance mostly on weekends. Though, I think I have little knowledge on HTML and CSS, though I do run to W3schools for materials anytime I start doubting what I know. This is the problem; I have completed JavaScript on Mimo and Sololearn but still very empty inside. Whenever I am reading it, it all look familiar and simple but once I close the page, I still go back to being empty. Can somebody ever be expert in JavaScript (Not expert in the context of knowing everything in JavaScript)?

Programming is fun. And I have fallen for JavaScript but it seems I love it more than it loves me. I am now addicted to reading source codes.
Right now, I am thinking of picking php or python. I have not done any major thing with what I have learnt so far. Php because of BackEnd. I don't know what that means but i feel good anytime I use it.

var myQuestion = ["php","python","C++","Java","c#"];
var myPreference = myQuestion[0];
alert(" I love "+myPreference+ " so much!" ) ;

Don't deject, to know codes takes practice. You just have to keep on practicing. The right step in the direction is knowing what you need. I'm sure you would have heard that even senior Developers still search to get basic things done.. you are in the right direction

Hi there!

There are a number of programming languages available in the market.

JavaScript.
Python
Java.
C++
GoLang.
C#
SQL.
Dart.

I would suggest you JavaScript and Python

Let me give you a synopsis of JavaScript it is a scripting or programming language that allows you to implement complex features on web pages — every time a web page does more than just sit there and display static information for you to look at — displaying timely content updates, interactive maps, animated 2D/3D graphics, scrolling video jukeboxes, etc. — you can bet that JavaScript is probably involved. It is the third layer of the layer cake of standard web technologies, two of which (HTML and CSS).

Python is an interpreted high-level general-purpose programming language. Python's design philosophy emphasizes code readability with its notable use of significant indentation. Its language constructs, as well as its object-oriented approach, aim to help programmers write clear, logical code for small and large-scale projects

Thanks,

Can I be a good programmer without an exceptional maths skill?
Re: I Want To Learn Programming. Which Language Should I Start With? by Bossman(m): 6:20pm On Jun 07, 2021
You probably can. However, since programming is all about problem solving, it will come a lot easier if one likes math/problem solving. If one does not like match at all, it will be difficult to survive as a programmer.
