Re: Nigerians Slam NCC’s IMEI, Phone IDs Directive: We Deserve Some Privacy by GENES11S:
The worst part is the fact that they do not complete the projects.

ID card ---incomplete

NIM-BVN linkage -----incomplete

NIM-SIM linkage -----incomplete

Now they have moved to IMEI.

Why not complete one project before starting another one. Unless their real motive is to loot money all in the name of these projects.

Yesterday it was Malami, today it's Pantanmi's NCC again?

This APC and crew have lost leadership ideas. Just marking time and making enemies.

What people don’t know is that...Nigeria government saw their mistakes during end SARS saga, the use of phones exposed their asś. We all saw how a whole Nigerian army lied about their involvement, but later admitted they were at the scene. Even Lagos state governor admitted but later changed narratives.

They thought it was business as usual “unknown soldier” kill some of the protesters and carry their bodies and leave no traces. They will serve as scape goat to other protesters.

This good for nothing useless Nigerian government is planning against any future massive protest or agitators by forcing every Nigerians to register NIN and link it with their phone, now it’s phone IMEI.

The NIN isn’t about security, because no bandits will register or link any NIN and even if they kidnapped, they will use their victim phone to request for ransom. It will be too late before Nigerians realize what has befall them.

the problem in this country is that most of us have refuse to recognize our basic fundamental human rights

FG CAN NOT BE TRUSTED WITH THIS KIND OF INFORMATION.

Government is unnecessary prying on the privacy of vulnerable Nigerians.

Lawyers like Falana, Agbakoba, Ozekhome, should fight for the masses.

These information that the federal government is HARVESTING can be used to steal people life time fortune.

There should be thorough debate over the issue before the fg should go about it with implementation.

There should be some grey areas and individual should have the right to stay out it.

It should not be FORCED CONSCRIPTION.

Patami has good intentions,

but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. A knife can be used for cooking and for stabbing.

Nigeria is not yet ripe for this thing. The Yahoo boys will not like this news. phone thief's will hate you.

Nigerians hate innovation, you can't eat your cake and have it. if you want security, you must sacrifice something,
May thunder fire you if i ever see this "good intentions" quotation in your post again.

But Section 37 of the 1999 constitution does not say HOW your privacy will be protected. It can still be protected even if you give the government your IMEI number.

Ehn that's done in the West, America and Asia...

if you don't know something just shut up only the phone wey u buy from ur service provider na him d service provider go get the imei..

if you choose to buy an unlocked phone that works with all carrier no service provider or government will say you should come nd register it....

or even used locked carrier phone so far say na the same service provider you've no business registering any shiit with ur service provider or the Government....

Very soon dem go say mak we go register our Blood nd kidney with the way things are going....
What privacy does your IMEI give away?

Silly us. These are people that want to go and stay in London. Where all your movement is captured and recorded on a CCTV, the length and breath of the city.

Same clowns who praise America and Canada where you cannot do anything tangible and legit with your life without submitting a Social Security number or a social insurance number.

Pls, what privacy does your IMEI reveal other than your location. And is that not what is obtainable in the West, with your social media accounts?

Just be complaining like deranged donkeys up and down.
