Nigeria is not yet ripe for this thing. The Yahoo boys will not like this news. phone thief's will hate you.

What are Patamis good intentions? What has submitting IMEI got to do with ensuring security?

What privacy does your IMEI give away?

Silly us. These are people that want to go and stay in London. Where all your movement is captured and recorded on a CCTV, the length and breath of the city.

Same clowns who praise America and USA where you cannot do anything tangible and legit with your life without submitting a Social Security number or a social insurance number.

Pls, what privacy does your IMEI reveal other than your location. And is that not what is obtainable in the West, with your social media accounts?

Just be complaining like deranged donkeys up and down.

What's stopping them from using that CCTV instead?

Mr Professor I too know

What have they done with Sim registration?
I still havent seen the reason for that sim registration . A sim wouldn't work without the sim being registered. Why can't details of criminals be known since they use phones to call?

One misplaces a sim, he has to undergo another sim registration. What happened to the previous record?

Now NiN, still ongoing. Isnt that another way of linking Sims to owners? If the NIN will work as they said.

what then do u need imei refiatration for?

What is happening in Nigeria is just beyond human comprehension. We are just doing anything anyhow. 24hrs power supply is still foreign to Nigerians

How will IMEI stop crime?

In 2015, this govt said BVN will stop 419, corruption and kidnapping. Can u pls give an update on that?

This year, they said it is NIN that will stop crime. Pls how's that supposed to go?

Using IMEI anyone can clone your phone, track your location, send and recieve messages with your line. They can also monitor your calls, Internet usage and texts without your knowledge.

IMEI tracking is only used as a last resort to recover stolen phones because of how much power it can have when in the wrong hands.

If you can't see the problem with this maybe you wouldn't mind having a government camera in your toilet.
