The average Tanzanian is very poor, compared to the average Nigerian.

Nigeria's GDP per capita is DOUBLE that of Tanzania.

Also, Tanzania's access to electricity is 37%, while Nigeria's is 57%

AND THERE ARE POWER CUTS IN TANZANIA: https://energychangelab.org/shedding-light-power-quality-tanzania/

So take your lies and stick em up your you know what.

https://www.iea.org/articles/tanzania-energy-outlook

Mumu, your big for nothing contraption called nigeria is among the poorest and can be equalled to the likes of Somalia. Coming to electricity, are you not ashamed that your useless country of over 200 million people has only 3,000MW of electricity? Read below about Tanzania.

73.2% of urban areas of Tanzania have access to electricity while 24.5% of rural areas have access to electricity as of April 2020-Rural Energy Agency. About 78.4% of Tanzanians are on the electrical grid.

NOW read about your contraption below.

In 2018, 56.5% of nigeria's population had access to electricity, an undoubtedly low figure when compared to global levels of 89.6% (Figure 1). ... Given that nearly 45% of the country does not have access to electricity

Gabon being an African francophone country is not better, like I said earlier most African countries are not economically independent meaning over dependency on the west or their colonial masters. If the life expectancy was close to 80, I would have taken it more seriously but 66 come on, if their population was over half of Nigeria, that 66 will be 46 or less.

Let's stop being sentimental, even SA is not doing well presently. No African country is really that impressive. If we had electricity some of us will have change of opinions.

Those indices are not true reflection of what's really on ground. I've been to Gabon and apart from electricity, nothing impressive

truly independent economically, my azz

Goke7:

Don't mind them, yes we have issues in Nigeria but same with these African nations and they aren't rich enough to build super infrastructure like SA. And on top of that only few nations like Nigeria and Ethiopia are truly independent economically. Most African nations are so dependent on the west including nations like Kenya and Ghana. The UN headquarters presence in Kenya is the advantage.

I don’t know about that but I doubt if development spread across the whole country.

The true reflection of what is on ground is what you say it is?

Apart from electricity?

Is that not enough?

Well the true reflection of what is on ground in Nigeria is Boko Haram, Kidnapping , herdsmen and poverty.

Life is of no value in Nigeria
Life expectancy is one of the lowest in the world

Gabon is a small country

We do not know what it would be like if it was bigger . You are just guessing

What is the relevance of being francophone to our discussion?

Yes let us not be sentimental

TheStronghold:
That's mainly the northern sympathetic nature to boko haram and their ideology. They can easily crush them but they see them as their brothers.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. If not for Nigeria and the problem it brings (over population on the southwest, reducing GDP per capita and job availability, over bearing our electricity capacity, even Osun has great electricity, that's because of low population) Yoruba Nation would've been like Egypt/ Morroco/South Africa by now. Nigeria is greatly holding Yorubas back.

The Greek are white, but they are not the same as the Germans at all. One country is barely sustainable, the other is an incredibly run, intelligent, and wealthy country. Yorubas are not the same as Fulanis. Igbos are smart and hardworking as well, but they lack the capacity to build a top tier nation as a group as they're too individualistic. Yorubaland that had the first tv station in Africa and the first skyscraper in sub Saharan Africa in1963, is struggling to build more in 2021. Clearly something has gone massively wrong. The difference between now and then is Yorubas controlled everything in the regional system, now decisions run through the central government, largely dominated by northern states.

Why are some of you so daft and dumb? Which cities have yorubas ever built? Just name one. Don't mention that your old slum/ghetto Ibadan as a city. How many years apart is your so-called Western television and the one built in the Eastern region called ENTV? Only one year apart. So what's the big deal? A first skyscraper that has remain surrounded by mudhouses and old scrap zinc houses for over 50 years?

Can you even try equalling our Biafran inventions at the height of the genocidal war against us? Can you match us today in inventions?
Lagos was built with Biafra's oil money as the former capital and recent developments in Lagos today are mainly because of Igbo people. Mention any of your cities that can rival Owerri, Enugu, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, or even Abakaliki of yesterday. Just mention one. All you yorubas are proud of is Lagos which was built by the federal government and with oil money from Biafraland.

Yoruba didn't control anything during the regional system. Eastern nigeria under Michael Okpara had the fastest growing economy in the whole world then which Britain was afraid of and finally put a stop to it through their orchestrated genocidal war against our people. I didn't say in Africa, but in the whole world. Google the Eastern Region of nigeria economy under Michael Okpara. Easterners controlled federal civil service then because it was on merit which proved that we are the most educated and until today we are still the most educated and JAMB and WAEC statistics are there to prove it. It's not audio most educated that you yorubas peddle today to make yourselves look good. We also controlled the military then, so where do you want to start comparing?

Now you're emotional, but let me advise you if you really want to know what life is in African countries, ask the citizens of that country and not what google says.

There are lots of insurgency going in Africa as we speak, east Africa, central Africa and west Africa, even SA has banditry as there are places no one dare travel through.

I understand the frustrations we are all going through in Nigeria and we all feel it but to think other African nations are better than Nigerian is a big fat lie, may be our politicians only steal more as we have more money being a larger economy than most African nations.
