Of all cuties in the world, you are mentioning miami in the same sentence with Lagos?
Have you ever been to south africa?
Have you ever been to Tanzania?
One of the things I've noticed about most NIGERIANS are over bloated ego fueled by lack of exposure.
Nigeria has not just the problem of corruption, most of her people need mental enlightenment.
How on earth will anyone say Lagos is fast becoming miami?
It's either you are a complete villager or you are just a complete illiterate.
Nigerians think that nigeria is special and will become better than every country in the world

While industrial revolution was phasing out nigerians were building groundnut pyramids cheesy

Even Americans, European tourists calls Lagos the Los Angeles of Africa, but archaic lack of self worth won't allow you see that, tribalism has eaten deep into the life of some of you that you're practically unable to appreciate good things

Should i then upload the slums of Lagos?
And yes i am NIGERIAN but south africa is not in anyways beneath Nigeria on any level.
I bet you've never been to South Africa because if you have then you'll know the steering amount of slums there even in white neighborhoods.
Every country in the world have slums, even the USA has Dozens of slums that even a poor Nigerian wouldn't want to live in ,this are some slums in USA I know

Nice pictures but no, maybe back in 2006 when development was ongoing on the Island but now unless you move most of the population out and demolish their houses it won't be a great market for tourism.

This is SA, what's next?

Low self-esteem and inferiority complex people, always ranting about other countries that are sometimes beneath Nigeria all because of hatred, bitterness, and anti-Nigerian madness.
Some places in Miami and Florida are worse than Lagos, even in London, Dubai, Seoul, Shanghai and Paris there are slum there

Most Africans come to Lagos and are shocked with the sophistication they see and in Abuja too. Even many cities and states capital have improved infrastructure over the years.

Yes our politicians are thieves and it shows the enormous cash at their disposal to do more. As you said the security issue had really taken away lots of shine from us as a country but we can only hope for better days.

Even folks from the west come here and are shocked with the level of technology in Nigeria. The Fintech and Financial sector is as good as what you have in the west reason the west keep prying away talents from Nigeria.

Nigeria is bad yes, but it's because the best of its citizens are ruled by the worst of it's citizens

I can attest to your first paragraph. That was when I went to Osogbo recently. I was shocked at the level of development and infrastructures on ground.

Couldn’t believe my eyes that Oshogbo is that developed.

Not only Oshogbo. Ede is also very developed.

In fact, most of the state capitals I went to in the Southern part of Nigeria are very developed.

The problem is the best of its citizens are not ready to take the mantle of power. That’s another big problem.

Nigeria stress lagos a lot. The only thing the country maybe proud of.. what a failed country..

I sincerely dont know what Yorubas are still doing in Nigeria o. They will comfortably run a country and doing it well. Give yorubas their nation and in 20 years time, it will compete with some of the best nations on earth. I sincerely dont know what they are doing in Nigeria. Look at how much Lagos gave to FG the other day. Black race just dont know how to fix their problems

See maybe the reason for rapid development is the removal of negative, subversive and hateful groups that plague the nation.

Don't worry, Buhari is on the case.

This is when people are too self-hating and self-hating.

Pictures like this is what I expect that OP to post but he's busy posting aerial and edited pic, as if it is not the same area I used to ply frequently before moving to a more conducive and comfortable place.

The OP is definitely one of those born and brought up Lagosians that think the world revolves around Lagos.

For fvck sake, Lagos was once a capital city!
If other states had the opportunity given to Lagos, they will definitely be better.

Don't be daft. Tanzania is in all round better than your nigeria. Their capital city has more high rise buildings that Lagos state and Abuja put together. They have steady running water and steady electricity. They also have better road networks than your big-for-nothing nigeria. Their internet connections are top-notch. So, where do you want to start from to compare?

And here you are spending 80% of your life on a Nigerian site

Aregbesola tried as governor but the his issue with civil servants took the shine off any good thing he did. The FG manpower power program where unemployed people are paid stipends monthly was a template from similar program in osun state and initiative of Aregbesola.

We need more thinking leaders with integrity

Why are some of you so daft and dumb? Which cities have yorubas ever built? Just name one. Don't mention that your old slum/ghetto Ibadan as a city. How many years apart is your so-called Western television and the one built in the Eastern region called ENTV? Only one year apart. So what's the big deal? A first skyscraper that has remain surrounded by mudhouses and old scrap zinc houses for over 50 years?

Can you even try equalling our Biafran inventions at the height of the genocidal war against us? Can you match us today in inventions?
Lagos was built with Biafra's oil money as the former capital and recent developments in Lagos today are mainly because of Igbo people. Mention any of your cities that can rival Owerri, Enugu, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, or even Abakaliki of yesterday. Just mention one. All you yorubas are proud of is Lagos which was built by the federal government and with oil money from Biafraland.

Yoruba didn't control anything during the regional system. Eastern nigeria under Michael Okpara had the fastest growing economy in the whole world then which Britain was afraid of and finally put a stop to it through their orchestrated genocidal war against our people. I didn't say in Africa, but in the whole world. Google the Eastern Region of nigeria economy under Michael Okpara. Easterners controlled federal civil service then because it was on merit which proved that we are the most educated and until today we are still the most educated and JAMB and WAEC statistics are there to prove it. It's not audio most educated that you yorubas peddle today to make yourselves look good. We also controlled the military then, so where do you want to start comparing?

Stop replying to some comments and devote your time to better things.
Lagos is Nigeria's/ Africa's best for now-just that it is grappling with over population because everything is centred in it.
wish we had steady power supply in this country
