sorry to say but that your friend na big time mumu.. Go to the airport like 2-3hrs before your departure. Buy hand scale.. Weigh your items at home to ensure it is inline with the requirement of the air carrier, if you carry food items like oil, separate 1k for one side to give those hungry fools..when going thru boarding pass,hold 2k 500naira note.share for the fools as you go..
Hold like 4k for everything and that is if you feel like dashing the idiots..

The solution to the immigration mess is simple.

Just get staffs on standby somewhere, prepped, trained and ready for employment at a moment notice.

Send spies to the airport, watch any immigration staff misbehaving, note his/her desk, and fire him/her by the end of the day.

Replace the next day with the new staff.

By the time, you do it for one week consistently, both the old staff and the new staff will act professionally so as not to lose their jobs.

Don't be surprised that as simple as this solution is, nobody in the aviation space has thought of it.

This is the general blueprint for virtually all civil personnel jobs in nigeria, especially the police force. Without competitiveness, nigerian staff aren't motivated to deliver anything.
I thought the Dullard Buhari would have moved aggressively since 2015 to emphasize competitiveness and value addition in Nigeria's civil service, but the man is USELESS.

Reminds me of the ndlea officer that took the only Naira note(N500) I had with me that I wanted to use to remember my country as I was leaving to the US in 2019. I escaped all but that ndlea officer, he collected it without shame. He said how can you be wearing this kind clothes and be going to America and not have money to give. I shook my head in anger and disbelief.
