@oyinbo4real, @Kayyyy How did you make payment for Crowne Plaza hotel?
I paid 950 US Dollars CASH. Please this is my personal opinion; changing US dollars at the airport is really high, so instead of me changing the equivalent of the hotel fee of 1,075.32 CAD, it’s better to pay cash of it in US dollars ($950). Example; I changed $200 USD this morning at Calgary airport, I was given 200 CAD and some coins (like what the hell??!!!). So for that kind of large amount of 1,075.32 CAD, changing that equivalent at the airport will be too much of a loss. I don’t know if changing larger amount of money will be better but I think they have a standard exchange rate. Like I said earlier, IMO!!!

Please is this IOM or Q-life? Because Q-life hasn't sent my result it's been almost 2 weeks now. Should I call them?

Hi Tennie. Did you call Qlife? They told me they send results to IRCC within 10days, that’s 2weeks.

Hi All,

I have a concern with Study permit. The only people i know that got PPR recently are people that go through the NSE route or at least did their upfront medicals. Does it mean that IRCC no longer request for medicals and dont they process people that go through the normal route SP. what do you think guys.

I appreciate a response
Thank you

I didn’t go through NSE
I didn’t do upfront medical
PPR dropped May 19

You’re well on your way o. Your dashboard is looking very attractive. Loool grin

Spectro:
They have now uploaded my medical result.

Medical examination happened on 21st April.

Medical updated to pass today.

I sent email to Lagos Canadian Visa office four days ago. I did so after emails to Nairobi yielded no result.

We should endeavor to send emails to both Nairobi and Lagos, because no one knows which office may act on them.

You’d surely need an enrollment letter to be able to board.

Well they asked me for my enrollment letter at 3 different places before I got my study permit. You’ll have to send an email to your school to send it to you, cause even the Canadian immigration officer that will question you, will ask for it, including school fees receipt and other documents.

I emailed my school for the enrollment letter and it was sent to me within 3 days, as long as you’ve registered for your courses for that semester.

Very correct, they’ll ask for it at the Nigerian airport before giving you your ticket.

Can one make reservations on booking.com for the 3days compulsory quarantine or does it have to be done directly from the hotel?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Yk45: 11:45pm On May 21, 2021
Thanks Kayyyy. I would like to clarify the part where you are asked to input your credit/debit card details. I used my Nigeria Mastercard ATM card and I was able to book the hotel and got my confirmation number today.

Would I still be allowed to pay to Pay in cash at the hotel despite using a card to book my reservation? or how did you go about yours please.

Well if yours was successful with your Nigerian debit card, then you’re super lucky, you have nothing to worry about. But for people like me that weren’t able to make the payments online, please don’t worry yourself, you can pay cash (whether in USD or CAD, depending on the hotel) and they’ll give you your change if you have any.
