I just pity the new CAS, the man will just be wondering why all these things are happening under him.

Was thinking the same thing. Apparently there are forces that don't want him to succeed likewise the new CDS and Service Chiefs. I mentioned here just few weeks ago I hope the dark forces that followed Gen. Attahiru to Maiduguri as Theater Commander didn't follow him to Army HQ As COAS. So much evil in the land, diabolism, injustice. Not ordinary. Nigerians will need to pray. God have mercy.

I don't support the abuse and insults but Josco consistently make stuffs up so I'm not surprised people are angry that he would use this sad incident to do the same again.

Bros I talk, one slowpoke here called me out for it

I continously say that we may not have true special forces. That uniform and insignia has been watered down. One cannot even identify the true special forces soldiers anymore

Is that not a good thing... Staying unidentifiable in public eye is good for spec ops.

Man this is heartbreaking and painful!! cry cry

This country deserves a break from bad news.

I mean.......... man!!!

Just has to have a break, the cycle of bad news is heartwrenching. Some form of palliative has to be offered the people in these times. Hope has to be rekindled and the government has so many options from economic measures to some form of political discourse whilst doing something to reassure the military as well.

Whilst we take one step it seems ten dark tunnels opens up. We were just celebrating the JF-17 which gave a glimmer of hope of what's possible if we do the right things then this tragic news and to think he was there at the induction yesterday, I saw him in the video feed only to pay the supreme price a day later.

The Air Force as a matter of urgency should out of abundance of caution ground the Beechcrafts in service until further notice.

Furthermore the president can reassure the military hierarchy by getting each service a brand new dedicated transport plane, these guys are overworking themselves always in the air from one duty post to the next cos of the war. Also the fighting forces should be adequately catered for with much needed logistics in the field and on base, would be most reassuring. Something just have to give.

The injustice in the land in every sector of Nigerian society is coming home to roost.

Flight Lieutenant Taiwo O Asaniyi was the pilot of the ill-fated Beechcraft 350 plane that crashed in Kaduna and he was preparing for his wedding. He did his introduction in March. His family in Ibadan is devastated with the loss of their shining star. The Nigerian Air Force has already sent a delegation to his family in Ibadan. Air Commodore Peter Simeon, who is the Commander of the 671 NAF Base detachment, Akobo, Ibadan, led other officers to the late pilot’s residence in Ibadan to console the aged parents. Responding on behalf of the family, Deacon Adeleke, who thanked the NAF for the early visit, pleaded for immortalisation of all the deceased. He advised that the government should always remember the families of the deceased. The man who is supposed to be his best man on the wedding day has remained inconsolable.

I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but the frequency of the crashes raises an eyebrow, either someone is incompetent somewhere or something else.
One way or the order it's not a coincidence, the frequency is begging the question.

Sincerely we need to start asking questions.
We have a United Nations Humanitarian Air services in Borno state with an air fleet of 4 Heli and 2 Aircraft.

Those Heli have been flying daily (Working days) from 2016 till date with no recorded crash. These are not brand new Helos self.

I think NAF has to really improve on its technical repairs, we have lost too many aircraft in a very short period

Incidence like this fuels conspiracy theories. Those who attribute sabotage, complicity and incompetence in the insecurity of the country might not be totally wrong. Three crashes within the space of three month is not a coincidence, there is more to it than meet the eye. We need to start asking pertinent questions

I don't think the pilots are to be blamed. No one is talking about ground control. That plane landed off the runway. Don't we have runway lights to guide planes during storms? Blame ground control
