It is evident DLD is an igbo IPOB in our midst. Well thank God not all igbos are IPOB. It would mean submitting to the foolery of Nnamdi Kanu who is not worth a bucket of thrash can.

His pain is General Nicholas was removed. How many other Northern commanders or Yoruba commanders have been removed. Even one Yoruba was court marshalled, demoted and dismissed. Seeing everything through tribalistic eyes doesn't help at all.

Attahiru is from Kaduna not Katsina. Is there tribal undertones yes but every Nigerian president has been guilty of it. Instead of working to gain political power to change things the foo.l in DLD openly advocates insurrection against the state and who would suffer the poor people of the South East while him and Nnamdi Kanu hides abroad under a welfare state collecting money from them and gullible igbo youths feeding fat doing nothing.

The Ill fated NAF plane that crashed in Kaduna that killed the Chief Of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, was said to have successfully landed at the Kaduna airport before it went up in flames.

AF aircraft, a Beecroft, similar to the one that crashed in Abuja, few months ago, was supposed to have landed at the NAF base, but was diverted to the Kaduna international airport because of bad weather.

A NAF source who does not want to be mentioned in print, told Saturday Sun, that “it is a Beechcraft aircraft, the same type that crashed at the Abuja Airport recently and they left Abuja late Friday afternoon.

What happened was that they were supposed to have landed at the NAF base, but they now diverted them because of the weather because they have more instruments, landing instrument at the Kaduna international airport than that of the NAF.

So because of the weather they don’t want them to land at the NAF base. The tower now diverted them to the airport.

The plane landed successfully, it touched the ground successfully but skipped off the runway. We don’t know what happened, may be the pilot lost control on the runway that is what the investigators would have to find out.

It is not that it crashed midair, no. It landed successfully and crashed within the airport. It did not crash land or developed any technical fault. You know there are two runways at the Kaduna international airport. We have 05 and Runway 06, it depends on the direction an aircraft is coming from. But the aircraft landed on runway 05. If you are coming through the right angle you will be made to land at runway 06, and if it’s through the left angle it’s runway 05.

He visited and motivated soldiers at the theater of war against boko haram insurgents. He was everywhere trying to make Nigeria a better and peaceful place.

May his gentle soul and souls of others who departed with him rest in the Bosom of Lord. Amen

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, has directed the cancellation of events slated for marking the 65th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

This is contained in a statement by spokesperson for the Nigerian Navy, Commodore Suleman Dahun.

Dahun said that the decision followed the sad demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and some senior officers in the air crash of Friday, May 21 in Kaduna.

“The CNS commiserates with the nation and offers the condolences of officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy to Mr President.

“The Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force as well as families of the departed.

“May their souls rest in peace,” he said.

He said that the death of Attahiru, a service chief, like his colleague in the navy, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, had put the army, navy, air force and the entire defence circle in sober mood.

Gunmen Kill 2 NSCDC Officers, Cart Away Arms In Anambra

By
Titus Eleweke
Sat May 22 2021

Gunmen on Friday evening killed two officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), burnt vehicles and carted away weapons at Nneyi outpost, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A source said that the gunmen stormed the NSCDC in Nneyi outpost and started shooting sporadically and in the process killed the two officers.

Confirming the incident, the State Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Okadigbo Edwin, in a statement issued in Awka, Anambra State capital said unidentified persons attack the agency out post in Nneyi, killing two and carting away arms.

“Yesterday being 21st May 2021, at about 1635hrs, some yet to be identified hoodlums attacked Civil Defence outpost in Nneyi Umueri in Anambra East Local Government of Anambra State, shooting sporadically.

“The officers on duty engaged them in a gun duel. At the end, two officers of the Corps that sustained gunshot injury from the incident lost their lives.

“Regrettably, their riffles were carted away after which the official vehicle was set ablaze,” he said

He, however, said that the State Commandant, Mr. David Bille, has activated all apparatus in conjunction with sister security agencies in the state to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Bandits kill four in Kaduna

According to the spokesperson, the incident nearly escalated into ethno-religious tensions in the area.

NEWS AGENCY OF NIGERIA • MAY 21, 2021

The Kaduna state government confirmed on Friday that bandits killed four residents in Igabi, Giwa and Jema’a Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

“Security agencies have reported that bandits invaded Zangon-Aya town in Igabi LGA.

According to the report, two residents were killed by the bandits in the area.

“The bandits also attacked Rugar Delu, a settlement on the fringes of town and rustled about 30 cows belonging to a herder.

“The herder sustained gunshot injuries to the chest and is now receiving treatment in hospital.

He, however, did not disclose the name of the hospital.

In another incident, Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs stated that bandits also invaded Ungwan Murtala in Yakawada, Giwa LGA and shot one person dead.

“Three other residents sustained injuries and are receiving treatment in hospital.

The commissioner said in Godogodo village of Jema’a LGA, armed bandits attempted to attack a police outpost but were effectively repelled by the personnel.

However, one person was killed by the gunmen, he said.

According to him, the incident nearly escalated into ethno-religious tensions in the area.

“Security operatives moved swiftly to douse the tension and brought the situation under control.

Mr Aruwan said Governor Nasir El-Rufai has commiserated with families of the deceased and prayed for the repose of their souls.

He appealed to residents of the town to work together and not perceive criminality from an ethno-religious standpoint.

He urged them to, instead, cooperate with security agencies and other stakeholders to tackle criminals.

Troops Eliminate Several ISWAP, ESN Commanders in Renewed Aerial and Land Bombardments
By Be Onyeuko- May 20, 2021

Troops Eliminate Several ISWAP, ESN Commanders in Renewed Aerial and Land Bombardments

Recall that the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs have conducted several operational visits to the various theatres of operation. They have been interacting with commanders, troops and other stakeholders in various theatres. Also, a Security Summit was held in March 2021 at the National Defence College with relevant stakeholders in attendance. In accordance with the theme, the Summit was aimed at promoting understanding and collaboration of stakeholders and key players on the kinetic approach that is expected to facilitate public support for kinetic action in Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency (CTCOIN) operations in Nigeria. Furthermore, the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs also visited the 6 geo-political zones and had consultations with Government Officials, traditional and religious leaders and various interest groups for the purpose of sensitization on the current security challenges facing the country. These engagements were aimed at ensuring that the Military High Command comes up with improved ways and means of tackling the myriad of security challenges across the Country in partnership with other stakeholders.

2. In the same vein, on 5 May 2021, the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs had interaction with senior media executives in “Open Ears Press Dialogue”. As you are aware, some topical security issues were enumerated and discussed extensively during the interaction with the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs. Sequel to that, we are now resuming our usual updates on the unrelenting and committed efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies in tackling security challenges facing our dear nation. Today’s update will cover the combined operational efforts of the land, maritime and air components across the country between 1 and 20 May 2021. These operational efforts of the Nigerian military are intended to achieve sustainable peace and to ensure normalcy returns to all troubled zones of our dear Country.

3. Within the period in focus, troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria remained resolute in their operations and engaged in series of kinetic and non-kinetic operations in all theatres of major and subsidiary operations. We have also worked cooperatively and in great synergy with other security and intelligence agencies to gain several successful and credible outcomes in our operations. For land operations, our gallant troops have been actively engaged in constant clearance patrols, ambush, raid, picketing, cordon and search operations as well as artillery bombardments. In the maritime environment, troops conducted various operations involving anti-piracy, anti-illegal oil bunkering, anti-crude oil theft, anti-pipeline vandalism and anti-smuggling operations. Moreover, the Air Component conducted comprehensive air operations, which included air patrols, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions, offensive air strikes, air interdictions, search and rescue operations as well as close air support for ground troops.

4. As a result of these operations, our troops neutralized scores of terrorists and bandits including senior BHT/ISWAP and ESN commanders as well as major bandit leaders. Similarly, many of their fighters were incapacitated and their camps destroyed through artillery and air bombardments. Additionally, troops rescued several kidnapped victims and arrested bandits/kidnappers informants and collaborators in different parts of the country. Our operations also inhibited activities of economic saboteurs as well as exposed and forestalled other criminal activities. Troops also recovered large caches of arms and ammunition as well as equipment, vehicles and livestock within the period. In the maritime domain, troops disrupted smuggling activities, immobilized illegal refining sites, arrested some perpetrators, seized illegally imported rice and other contraband goods as well as recovered petroleum products. Although some of our personnel paid the supreme price in the course of these operations, our dogged troops consistently demonstrated gallantry and resilience.

5. You are also aware that the Military High Command has renamed the ongoing counter-insurgency operation in the North East from Operation LAFIYA DOLE to Operation HADIN KAI. This was done to reflect the renewed spirit of jointness in the North East operational environment. The combined efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies demonstrate our commitment, synergy and determination to lay down our lives to protect our great Nation. We will continue to sustain the offensive posture and will not relent until peace is restored to every troubled zone in Nigeria. The general public is also assured of our commitment to protect our economic assets anywhere.

6. As you know, security is everybody’s concern, thus, we encourage every well-meaning Nigerian to support the efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies, by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements to address the threats. The plans and efforts of the criminal elements to perpetrate nefarious activities so as to discredit the government and efforts of security forces will in no way deter us from sustaining the tempo of operations. The High Command of the Nigerian Military wishes to thank the general public for their support and further solicit their cooperation in the fight against criminality in the Country. The Military High Command also commends all the gallant troops of the Armed Forces and personnel of other security agencies involved in various operations across the country for their resilience, doggedness and commitment. Once again, I thank you members of the Press for your continued understanding and support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

I won't reply foo.ls on my mention, never!

It was a literary statement that the demons that followed Attahiru to Maiduguri shouldn't follow him to Abuja but person wey no go school no fit comprehend that one who is to blame him.

The biggest foo.l on nairaland DLD wants people to take him serious when its evident from his posts from searching out bad news to post from Sahara reporters (who even does that except maybe a jobless youth collecting welfare abroad with free wifi) that he is biased and demented. I mean this guy is brain sick.

So we can't find bad news elsewhere but no we have to read it on a military thread. Where is the ban. We cannot tolerate a guy who wants to spit on the sacrifices of our fighting men.

Major General Nicholas didn't succeed either in the North-East. To me he failed. I touted him to be appointed but I also acknowledged he wasn't too good and advocated his removal as well. When then Major General Attahiru was appointed I gave him the benefit of the doubt but well the man was bedevilled from day one, suicide bombings went through the roof but he brought about the innovative MSTs just its effect in the field took too long and I also in 3 months said he was incompetent but with the benefit of hindsight he should have stayed to oversee what he started which present day commanders are using. DLD has no sense to see the literary thought behind that statement. Well now that man has died in an air crash whether by natural design or not it's clear his command has being bedeviled with ills. What's so incongruous about that to be funny.

Only a foo.l in DLD would look up educated minds on Nairaland and tells UGM is not ESN. No apparently they are ghosts. Nnamdi Kanu is IPOB and IPOB is ESN which he openly endorses their actions and should be held responsible alongside people like DLD who are active accomplices but I bet you this coward DLD is no where to found he will shi.t his pants yet and advocate for cops to be killed. I'd.iot.

Bros, it is okay.

The best answer for a fool is silence.

If ignored, he would see that his existence on this thread is meaningless and he would stop. Our replies to him keeps feeding the monster.

Let us all make up our minds to ignore mentally-ill folks like you would a mad man on the streets

Most devout Muslims have it on their foreheads. After several years of prostration in prayer every day, it will definitely leave a mark.

It is also becomes more prominent due to "planting of heads" from training days.

Some more bad news from a few days ago lads. We've lost one of our ATR-42 ISR/ELNIT aircraft to a runway accident two days ago. There were no fatalities thankfully. Apparently the plane's wing struck some vegetation when taxiing down the runway. From the extensive damage, the airframe is probably going to be written off.

Only a foo.l would pick up arms against the state especially when he knows there's no chance of success. So belligerents would shoot and kill in most cases unarmed servicemen, attack police stations which is a symbol of state authority and those responsible are expected to be given a pat on the back. Only a foo.l would listen to another foo.l who won't offer himself for combat rather hiding in Europe and asking others to go die for something that he is not will to die himself.
