You sell your properties when your family is not growing. They have negative growth despite what they tell their members and they have been papering over the crack for more than 10 years. It is presentable to have fewer halls with full attendance than to have plenty of half empty or even scanty congregants.

So a perfect plan was to merge congregations (in most cases, have congregants travel longer distances to meet), free up more halls and sell them off. In that case, appearances of having a full hall is better than having plenty half empty halls everywhere which would be obvious to many that they are having serious conversion problems.

Besides, it's real estate. It biz.

It's very difficult to post this because of multiple bans. I therefore resorted to creating a Google document that will contain the information with their links.

This is a list of places of worship of JWs (K i n g d o m H a l l s - I'm avoiding using the keyword) being sold by the parent organisation WT. Some are really beautiful halls. But keep in mind, these are halls dedicated to Jehovah. Who in his right mind can sell something dedicated to his God?

The list is complete with links containing the price. Pictures of the halls, when it was sold of it was and those still in the market. So far, the list I prepared contains more than 100 halls but the original contains more than 800 halls.

I will be updating it as time goes on.

JWs will continue to sell properties we can't maintain due to high costs & the funds generated therefrom,we utilize in our global relief work and teaching more people in over a thousand languages.
