Heavily armed Gunmen, whose Identity is yet to be revealed, have attacked an Outpost of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, killing 2 officers, and their rifles carted away in Anambra State.

Sources told IgbereTV that the officers on duty engaged the gunmen in gun duel after which their operational vehicle was set on fire.

The NSCDC Public Relations Officer in the state, Okadigbo Edwin, who confirmed the attack on Saturday, May 22 told IgbereTV that the unfortunate incident occurred in Nneyi, Umueri in the Anambra East Local Government Area of the state.

He said;

“The State Commandant, David Bille, was collaborating with sister security agencies to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Some yet-to-be identified hoodlums attacked Civil Defence outpost in Nneyi, Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, shooting indiscriminately.

“The officers on duty engaged them in a gun duel. At the end of the melee, two officers of the corps that sustained gunshot injury from the incident lost their lives.

Regrettably, their rifles were carted away after which the official vehicle was set ablaze.”

Now it looks like the truth is coming out for a number of years this civil defence have been claiming they do not have weapons, so how come now the weapons are in the barracks not with their officers which are patrolling. Keeping weapons in the barracks is getting security forces in Nigeria killed

Who said it was ESN or IPOB ? Nnamdi Kanu has several times disassociated himself from UGM.
