forgiveness:

Which Raheem doesn’t start anymore? grin

I don’t care if he starts. grin

Man City defended against Chelsea in the last game hence resorted to long balls hoping they can score.

It almost paid off because Zouma almost struggled with his space hence the need to try Reece as back 3.

Tuchel’s mind is on the Champions league finals hence all his experiments in the last 3 games because we saw Man city trying to exploit our weakness. grin

i observed this too

Midfield is so underwhelming. What is wrong with Rohr and the NFF?

Since its Rohr, I am not surprised

Famocious:
Joe Aribo, Sanusi and Samu Chukwueze dropped

The midfield is devoid o creativity, and I wonder who will feed the array of attackers we are going to feature.

I'm not sure the relevance of Musa in the list angry

I repeat, since its Rohr, I am not surprised

Please, are wife still sure of Rohr's mental wellness? Or is he going senile?

I doubt if he'll miss the call up as it could damage his national team game time. Moffi and Simy are there, there's real competition and am sure he will not want them to take his absence to their advantage.

Sergio Ramos a world cup, LA liga, European championship and 4x champions league winner was dropped from Spain Squad for Euro 2021 because he is presently out of form. (Not even invited to train) but Nigerians think Super eagles is Musa birthright because he has scored 4 World cup Goals. This is the difference between a Team like Nigeria and Spain. If you want to Win, you need a winners mentality

If we can't resolve that midfield issue on time in the super eagles I don't see us winning the afcon next year in Cameroon. Cos I don't see any creative player that can take on players one on one and provide asaist for the strikers too score. I don't claim if the lines of Paul Onauchu don't score for the national team cos no creative midfielder that can give those killer pass in this current super eagles set up

But will be fit by European Cup but his coach isn't taking any chances. Also, if Ramos was a Nigerian, injured or not he would had been invited

That's what the Docs at Villarreal are doing their best to ensure hence he was rested against Real Madrid.
But I cannot give a sure answer because his injury (rectus femoris injury - Quads strain) comes in grades.
If Chuks suffered Level 1 Quadriceps strain then I expect he could make the bench (at best) tomorrow. But if he suffered Level two or three, then he could be ruled out tomorrow.

Time will tell.

Nigerian players who shone across Europe this weekend: May 22-24 (Saturday-Sunday-Monday Editions)

1. 19 y/o Chinonso Emeka (FW) Senior Debut Appearance (KAA Gent): Played 11mins+ off the bench

KV Mechelen 1-2 KAA Gent (Belgian League European places Playoffs)

*Helps Gent qualifies for the next season's Uefa Europa Conference League

*First game for Gent since he joined, following in the path of fellow Nigerian teammate at Gent, Adewale Oladoye, who made his debut in the previous MatchDay vs Standard Liege on Wednesday (May 19)

2. 19 y/o Karim Adeyemi (FW) Attacking Performance + 3 pts (RB Salzburg): Played 90mins+

RB Salzburg 4-0 WSG Swarovski Tirol (Austrian Bundesliga Championship Round)

*100% Accurate Long balls (5/5), 4 key passes (4 chances created), 100% Accurate crosses (1/1), 84.4% passing accuracy, 3/8 dribbling success, 100% aerial duels won (2/2), 5/11 ground duels won, 2 Interceptions, 1 shot on target, 1 shot off target, was fouled twice

*7 goals + 9 Assists in 29 league games (11 starts)

*9 goals + 11 assists in 39 games (11 starts) in all comps.

3. 24 y/o Ezekiel Ayotunde Ikuepamitan (GK) Saves + 3 pts (SKF Sered): Played 90mins+

SKF Sered 4-1 FK Senica (Slovakian Fortuna Super Liga)

*2nd game for Matthew Yakubu's deputy at Sered.

*2 games, 1 win, 1 draw, 3 goals conceeded.

4. Richard Friday (FW) Goal - MatchWinner (Spartaks Jurmala): Played 90mins+

Spartaks Jurmala 1-0 Valmiera FK (Latvian Virsliga)

*4 goals in 11 league games (9 starts)

5. 22 y/o Dickson Abiama (FW) Goal - MatchWinner and Bundesliga-Promotion Goal (SpVgg Greuther Furth): Played 8mins+3 mins added time off the bench

SpVgg Greuther Furth 3-2 Fortuna Dusseldorf (Bundesliga 2)

*Came in on 82mins. Bagged the Winner on 83mins. A Huge Goal from Dickson to take Furth to the Bundesliga automatically.

*Dickson and Greuther Furth finished 2nd in Bundesliga 2 to bag automatic Promotion to the Bundesliga

*7 goals + 2 assists in 28 league games (3 starts)

*9 goals + 2 assists in 31 games (3 starts) in all comps.

6. Wilfred Ndidi (CDM-Played CB mostly today) Defensive Performance (Leicester): Played 90mins+

Leicester City 2-4 Tottenham Hotspurs (EPL)

*Played first 20 mins as CDM but switched to CB mode for the other 80mins+ added time after a very unfortunate Wesley Fofana injury. That injury will go on to cost Leicester in combination with Rodgers' silly decisions. One of which was bringing in Mendy to play midfield while moving Ndidi to CB. That cost Leicester big time in the middle. A Wes Morgan or Daniel Amartey (especially a Wes Morgan) in Central defence would have sufficed. But no. A bottler is a bottler. Moving on.

*76.7% passing accuracy, 5 tackles, 3 clearances, 2 blocked shots, 1 Interception, 1/2 aerial duels won, 6/9 ground duels won, 100% dribbling success (1/1), 1/4 Accurate Long Balls. Still put on a fine defensive showing but his influence in the middle of the park for Leicester was missing. Could have seen off the game alongside Tielemans but Rodgers, as usual, is a bottler.

*1 goal, 4 assists, 7 Cleansheets in 26 league games (25 starts)

7. Cyriel Kolawole Dessers (CF/ST) Goal (KRC Genk): Played 90mins+

Club Brugges 1-2 KRC Genk (Belgian Jupiler Pro League Championship Round)

*3/4 dribbling success, 3 shots on target, 2 shots off target, 1 penalty won, 2/3 aerial duels won, 5/12 ground duels won, 100% Accurate Long balls (2/2), 85% passing accuracy, was fouled twice

*7 goals + 1 assist in 32 league games (6 starts)

*7 goals + 3 assists in 34 games (7 starts) in all comps.

8. Godswill Elohor Ekpolor (RB) Defensive Performance + 3pts (BK Hacken): Played 90mins+

BK Hacken 3-1 Varbergs BoiS (Swedish Allsvenskan)

*2 Interceptions, 2 tackles, 81.0% passing accuracy, 3/4 Accurate Long balls, 100% aerial duels won (3/3), 2/8 ground duels won

*1 goal, 1 assist in 8 league games (8 starts)

9. Victor Osimhen (ST/CF) Assist + Attacking Performance (SSC Napoli): Played 90mins+

SSC Napoli 1-1 Hellas Verona (Serie A)

*1 big chance created, 2 key passes, 1 tackle, 1 shot off target, 66.7% passing accuracy

*Missed out on UCL qualification. Gattuso's side played without purpose and verve with Osimhen starved upfront in a game they needed more than ever to play as One. FC Porto manager, Sergio Conceicao is strongly rumored to take over from Gattuso. A good move in my book because Gattuso lacks tactical depth even though he is an okay manager. A coach also afraid to properly talk sense into his wingers "all through this season" to cease being selfish/cease showboating all because he didn't want to risk losing the dressing room is not a coach I want our Monster Machine to be under going forward. Gattuso leaving is good riddance.

*10 goals + 4 assists in 24 league games (16 starts)

*12 goals + 7 assists for club and country in 20/21.

10. 21 y/o Igoh Ogbu (CB) Decent Defensive Performance (Lillestrom SK): Played 90mins+

Lillestrom SK 1-3 Viking FK (Norwegian Eliteserien).

*6 clearances, 2 blocked shots, 1 interception, 83.3% passing accuracy, 3/7 Accurate Long balls, 3/5 aerial duels won

*2 games (2 starts)

11. 23 y/o Frank Onyeka (CDM) Assist + Strong Midfield performance (FC Midtjylland): Played 90mins+

FC Midtjylland 4-0 AGF (Danish Super Ligaen)

*Finished as League Runners-up and will enter the UCL Qualifying rounds with FCM. But transfer rumors suggest he could be set for a move this summer to a bigger side outside Denmark.

*88.9% passing accuracy, 1/2 Accurate Long balls, 1 key pass, 12/16 ground duels, 100% dribbling success (2/2), 1/2 aerial duels won, was fouled 4 times, 6 tackles, 1 blocked shot, 1 Interception, 2 clearances

*3 goals, 2 assists, 10 Cleansheets in 27 league games (26 starts).

12. 21 y/o Yunusa Owolabi Muritala (FW/CF) Brace (FK Metta): Played 83mins[/ii]

FC Noah Jurmala 0-3 FK Metta (Latvian Virsliga)

[i]*9 goals in 10 league games.

13. 19 y/o Chukwubuike Adamu (FW) Goal (FC St.Gallen): Played 74mins

FC St.Gallen 1-3 FC Luzern (Swiss Schweizer Cup Final)

*2 goals + 3 assists in 4 swiss cup games (3 starts).

*8 goals + 3 assists in 18 games (13 starts) all comps for FC St.Gallen.

14. Francis Uzoho (GK) Saves + Cleansheet + 3pts (Apoel Nicosia): Played 90mins+

Enosis Neon Paralimniou 0-1 Apoel Nicosia (Cypriot Protathlima Cyta)

Uzoho's stats in all Competitions (20/21):

▶️23 games played (18 league games; 5 cup games)
◀️18 goals conceeded.
⏺️8 clean sheets.
⏫13 wins
❌4 losses
⏸️6 draws

15. 25 y/o Bede Amarachi Osuji (RW) Goal (Hapoel Ra'anana): Played 90mins+

Hapoel Kfar Shelem 0-4 Hapoel Ra'anana (Israeli Liga Leumit)

*2 goals in 25 league games (19 starts).

16. 22 y/o Tosin Kehinde (RM) Fine Midfield Performance (Randers FC): Played 66mins before being subbed off due to injury

Randers FC 2-1 FC København (Danish Super Ligaen).

*83.9% passing accuracy, 1 key pass, 5/6 dribbling success, 100% Accurate Long balls (1/1), 1 penalty won, 6/8 ground duels, 2 Interceptions, was fouled once

*2 goals + 6 assists in 26 league games (19 starts)

17. Sadiq Umar (CF/ST) Goal (UD Almeria): Played 89mins

UD Almeria 2-1 UD Logroñés (La Liga Smartbank)

*His 20th league goal for Almeria this season. Could have bagged a brace making it 21 goals had he converted his penalty.

*1 big chance created, 1 key pass, 3/4 dribbling success, 1 Clearance, 3/8 ground duels won

*Sadiq has won six penalties. The highest in La Liga Smartbank.

*20 goals + 6 assists in 37 league games (33 starts).

*[22 goals + 6 Assists for Almeria only in 20/21 in 40 allgames (34 starts)]

*28 goals + 8 assists in all competitions for both Partizan and Almeria in 20/21.

Its annoying that after more than 4 years in charge of management, Rohr still is incapable of setting up a creative side

Just look at Algeria's transformation

I wonder how Rohr thinks

Some don't know that Keshi gave Amokachie a lot of freedom in picking player, reason why we have player like Fegor Ogude in afcon 2013 even starting ahead of Onazi until he got injured and Onazi proved to be a better player.

Did you guys knew that Keshi later fell out with Amokachie when allegations of Amo collecting wristwatches from players and Amokachie working behind the scene with Nff to nail Keshi to the extent that IK Uche openly went against Keshi tactics and it cost him his place in 2014 WC

On Ozase allegation that Keshi was agent and coach. Ozase talks anyhow when he is having issues. He had the same issue at Olympic 2008, telling the press men that Siasia was not ripe as a coach. He labelled Libreght as incompetent for starting Chinedu Ogbuke ahead of him and of recent he almost ruined Kanu Nwankwo marriage.

A lot of things are happening in national team even under foreign coaches regards player invitations but all we need is positive result.

Stephen Keshi has done his best as a coach and player for Nigeria and those who are keen followers of Nigeria football in the 80s can say much... Keshi was banned from Nigeria football by Antony Ikhazobor for coming late to camp after helping NNB during WAFU Cup.He left Nigeria and travelled to Ivory Coast to play for stade of Abidjan from their to Europe. Despite this maltreatment Keshi never turned his back against Nigeria.

Keshi deserve respect.

The older folks love keshi so much and I don't know why, no way Amokachi will be committing so much atrocities under him that he'll know little or nothing about

Nigeria will never be better..

Because Nigerians are very terrible people.

Someone is caught red handed receiving bribe and banned for a year, nd yet some people are saying "is he the first to do it"??.

A coach is being owed his salary for months..nd what some people are saying is if he doesn't like he should quit....like seriously...if dat was you or your father would you say that??

Keshi' name has been coming up left right centre on issues nd allegations of bribery nd favoritism....instead of calls for proper investigation una dey shout dnt speak ill of the dead,...why? Because he won one afcon....nd he is a national hero.....

Until we realise that the right thing should be done irrespective of who is hurt or who benefits...we will never improve.....

I am pretty sure that the Nff has a huge hand in the level of manipulations in the recent lists.....when they were changing terms in rohrs contract I mentioned that these men will see us regress back to the days wen selection is based on how much you have or whom you know.....well now we are here...let's live with it....everyday wailing everyday crying.. cool

Tomori not in the provincial squad of England for Euro 2021 despite a stellar season with AC Milan. I know it's a long shot but can't the NFF change his mind? because if they don't think you are good enough when the likes of Ben Godfrey, Ben White and Conor Coady are in the team then it speaks to how they rate him.
