Sorry. Not eligible.

Rockyrascal:
tomori had an incredible season with AC Milan that he even benched their captain; I was surprised but happy to know that he wasn't selected.
This is the best time for the NFF to convince him to pledge allegiance to nigeria.

What we are saying is that the way Uzoho and Maduka were nurtured, we need to nurture AMFs, let them be playing in 4th division as well and from them same way Maduka was groomed.

Nope. Dude is no longer eligible for us.
I thought the rule was only recently adjusted again after Munirs case in CAS. Munir played after his 21st birthday and an official game. Munirs case was that the law came after his 21st birthday so it shouldn't be binding. Tomori can make same case too as Munir; the rule came after his 21st.

Munir has now played and scored for the Moroccan outfit. Hence my question if he can still apply to play.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:14pm On May 25, 2021
Two different scenarios.

Munir played for the Spanish senior national team at age 19 yrs and 7 days. (His only senior cap) back in 2014.

Then in 2016, he featured for the Spanish U-21 in European U-21 Championship qualifying games. He played on his 21st birthday and again played at age 21yrs and 2 months and 11 days.

So Morocco made a case using the fact that the lad actually never featured for the Senior side after his 21st birthday. It was only for the junior side which is understandable. Also, Munir really wanted to play for Morocco. He pushed for it giving the Moroccan FA enough reasons to really make a case for him which tht succeeded in doing.

But in Tomori's case, lad has already bagged an official SENIOR Cap after his 21st birthday. Tomori made his senior debut at 21 yrs, 10months and 29 days.
Plus, he hasn't said anything recently about playing for Nigeria. It's always been England even before his debut.

So you must understand, his ineligibility case is stronger than the Munir case. Tomori is English.

And the recent rule stands:

"A player who is U-21 and haven't played more than 3 official games for a nation can switch."

Note: None of these 3 official games must be WC games or Continental tournament games.

That is the new rule.

All hail the king
.

Congratulations to the big man. Amazing achievement.
No shame in Dessers being benched for him. I'm sure he must have learnt one or two things from Onuachu sef smiley.

I have this strong feeling Dessers will perform well next season when Onuachu finds a bigger club.

You acting like Rohr won't bench our best crosser in Aina for one of his CBs.
Dude will start inverted wingers/wide forwards and then we'll all complain when Simmy and Onauachu don't play well.

Under the new regulations, players can switch national teams, even if they have played in an official competition for the first nation (unless the match was in the tournament phases of the World Cup or a continental competition), provided the appearance occurred before the player turned 21.

Well, until Lookman is cleared to play for us, Squawka won't be getting the memo yet. wink

Lookman had the most completed take-ons in Europe Top 5 leagues among "English" players.

At least, he scored some goals too and bagged some assists to differentiate himself from Mr Take-on-but-little-end-product, Adama Traore grin
Don't know if I'm the only guy who doesn't rate this guy yet. Well maybe because I havent watch him play of seen his highlight. Just don't see anything special.

The only thing that'll impress me right now for the eagles, is a creative midfielder. Perhaps.

Firstly,if anyone has allegations levelled against him irrespective of his position or status(alive or dead),the right thing is an investigation to set things right and the record straight, i believe amokachi should also be investigated, I only mentioned the one where ppl responded in the wrong manner, I never said keshi should be the only one investigated for any possible wrongdoing.....

Secondly...Keshia was owed yes...does that make it ok to owe the next coach..??.if he is being owed then instead of saying....ppl b4 him were owed so its nothing new, would it not be better to raise dust and make noise abt the problem...??.my issue is with how we try to normalize abnormalities by saying it's how it has always been, so let's continue that way..

If you would allow yourself to remove bias when reading you would have seen that I didn't mention any am since we all fall short one way or another...if its wrong it's wrong basco....its one man today,it will be another tomorrow, if u dnt fix the problem....the next time you want to make this comment the list of ppl being owed will be doubled....you are a very smart person so I believe you should understand where I am coming from.

People are owed money everywhere in the world and they make the decision if they want to keep working or not. What I won't stand for is people like you using it as an excuse when u would never mention it for a black man.

How many Barcelona fans have u heard complain that their players are owed salary?

Tomori not in the provincial squad of England for Euro 2021 despite a stellar season with AC Milan. I know it's a long shot but can't the NFF change his mind? because if they don't think you are good enough when the likes of Ben Godfrey, Ben White and Conor Coady are in the team then it speaks to how they rate him.
If it's possible to convince him,it will b in or best interest to try him. cos we don't have very good CB
