I lost my job last year due to the outbreak and no job was forth coming.

A friend linked me up with a job in a club and with what he said, that I can get a connect there that I should just be smart.

Please I need input for those that have worked in a club and how I can do well in it.

Also, if my personality can blend with it. I'm not the party type and I'm also the church type.

Going by my personality I won't go for the job but with the state of things I just need to do it.

Please how can I be at my best in my new job? Thanks

Mmm.. I don't know what you mean by "churchtype" but as a Christian, such environment is not healthy for your spiritual life. But then it depends on the section you'll be working in.

If it's in the kitchen, it's still fair. But if it's at the bar or as a waiter, it's a no no.

Just pray and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Pray that If God is not in support of it, he should help you with something better.

Now apart from the religious aspect, working in club is not so much of a good idea generally because anything can happen owing to the kind of people that go to clubs. Things can get rough with guys at any time or police raiding the place suddenly.


Just pray for a decent job.

I knew of a colleague at my former catering job who was deployed to work in ikoyi club on contract basis.He got connection with one of the ikoyi club members who was a senior airforce officer and helped him got enlisted in the Nigerian airforce.

The tin is if u r disciplined n u don't follow the crowd u can take d job. If not don't.
Reason is the job will expose u to a lot of tinz, infact u will see pple u know ur better than on a norm coming to squander cash, gboys, runs girl think of it n u might start to question ur existence n start thinking of a fast route not minding d price to b paid.

Being a Christian is not a problem OP. U alone know y ur there. Leave God to judge that don't listen to over righteous Christian brothers n sisters. That i work with a cigarette company no mean say i dey smoke cigarette or i force cigarette down person throat, na job i dey do.

If ur taking d job, i assume ur disciplined. Like someone rightly said to u, u might get nice connections there, so be of good conduct. Pls don't look down on ur self ( cos small gboy fit insult u o, u know customers re always right)
Be open but pls DO NOT make friends with customers anyhow o, na diff pple dey come club o. Keep everything professional. U know y ur there, don't get carried away. ALL THE BEST


NB; just to let y'all know that i have never been to a club before. My advice is based on what ve heard from pple that club n what have watched in movies, so I stand to be corrected.

Lol. I wasn't the party and church type too when I worked in a rough shaku shaku club back then and trust me I'll do a club job any time any day. Just be liberal and jovial with the customers and if there are girls there, mingle with them cos you'll easily see your money and recommendation from them too. Just be kind and open minded, no go dey strong face else you go easily japa. Drstan it is stressful, if you can bear it, you'll enjoy the job.

You mentioned that you actually took the job because of your current socio economic statue.

Now what else do you want us to tell you, to reject the job or what?

Quit the job and you will be surprised at how fast someone else will clinch the opportunity and be glad he did.
