This is your comment...

"...na the same phone we dey use so?? I bought this Redmi expecting to see a reason why I should have bought Samsung. E never gimme that reason for 2 weeks now wey I don dey use am... Except for d terrible screenshot quality sha..."

Read the bolded part. It's your comment, not mine.

Let's turn the statement now. I bought this Camry SE expecting to see a reason why I should have bought a 4matic

Translation, I bought a product expecting to see a reason why I should have bought the other one.

The other part of you statement said for two weeks now. That means for two weeks, you've been looking for a reason, and the only you've seen is the terrible screenshot. What happens when faults show up after two weeks?

If you had enough money, you would have definitely gotten the A52, that's what your comment is saying. There's no wrong mindset abi? It's basic English. Unless your message was lost in translation, which could have been clarified.

I have no reason to quarrel with you. So everything no be fight. It's your comment. A wiseman once said if you don't want people to disagree with you on the internet, then don't post on the internet.
Even with ur translation,I still don't see what is wrong but then I get it,u have been wanting to talk,my post gave u an opportunity to .. Enjoy it...I am a staunch fan of the A52, budget made me get d RN10 pro..I thought I was going to regret the decision..so far I haven't..show me what deserves your erection in this that u had to "leave ur holy throne" to rain down English? Warning, long post ahead!

I am going to be the devil here and say these, unapologetically too.

1. Never buy a product that you're in two minds about. Don't do that to yourself. Because then you'll start looking for the said faults in the product and then later you'll say that the thread mislead you. It's not the first time, won't be the last.

I was reading good reviews on this thread about the Mi 9T yesterday and I laughed. Why? Because I remember that one homo sapien claimed to have the phone, dropped it by himself on floor tiles and the screen began misbehaving. He began a war of calumny and misinformation against the device. Many people who listened to him missed out on a very good device.

2. Poor reviews: May 2019, after the Redmi Note 7 failed Zach's bend test, Indians wrote unprintable things about the phone. I heard even worse from marketers at Pointek when I went to buy it. Did it stop me? No. I had done my research and I knew what I wanted. I bought the device and walked out proudly. Genius43 knows my younger brother. That phone has now spent close to a year with him. It's still working fine and going strong.

3. Hardware: No where, can you find a phone that offers the hardware:price ratio that the Redmi 9t offers. Quote me anywhere. SD662, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charge, FHD resolution LCD screen, dual speakers, and a 48mp camera.

Check the market, you won't find it.

Does this mean that the phone is perfect? Absolutely not! No phone is. People with Galaxy S21 Ultra dey complain of bugs. iPhone 12 users dey complain of lag and battery drain. Na come small Redmi 9t.

If you understand tech, you'll know that the camera on the Redmi 9t is binned or compressed down to 12mp. That's how binning works. It's not a scam.

If you listen to idiots who are bad photographers then I sorry for you. The same RN9 Pro in my hand that I use for taking pictures, someone said that the camera is a scam too. The same person if you give am digital camera go still snap nonsense.

In summary, since you're in two minds, don't buy the Redmi 9t, go and buy something else. It's your money. I'm sure Transsion has inferior alternatives and Samsung and Oppo have overpriced options as well. Happy Sunday to you, Happy New month.

This is one of the best comments I have read on this matter. If you are having serious doubts about a purchase, please do not make that purchase. As a wise man once told me - if you have decided to have problems and issues, the problems will definitely arrive in full force.

genius43:

I remember this Mi 9t conundrum then. I advised people to buy that phone in the words of one "Na chinko phone, that pop-up camera na him go first spoil, the AMOLED Na scam, e no go last that is why e cheap. I told him to suit himself.

I have passed the stage of trying to convince anyone to get a phone it is not my father's company, neither am I a staff nor a shareholder.

If you come to me to advice you for a device be it phone or PC honestly with an open mind, I will but if you are already tilted one way I let you go.

atheistandproud:

You can imagine. I think I remember when Xiaomi first came to Nigeria, somebody said it, either gptech or grandmufti, said that the coming of xiaomi to Nigeria was the coming of problem. Initially I was like why would you say such a thing. But the more events unfold the more I realise that he was right absolutely Nigerians don't deserve good brands. We should stick with transsion and Samsung and co that will overprice mediocre products for us. That's what we deserve.

If them bring Mi 11 Ultra come Nigeria officially and make it publicly available, people will still complain that it's overhyped.

Many people don't understand, or even appreciate the priceless value of this thread. I am 100% sure that even if Xiaomi HQ employed staff to attend to customers and provide support the way our fantastic people are doing here - they wouldn't be able to do up to 20% of what is been done here. Pardon me for this, but many fools and morons still find it hard to believe that this thread is completely organic and no one is getting paid for the awesome advice that is being dished out daily.
Please, in the name of all that is good, responsible, kind, and holy, perform your own research before buying any device - it is the very least you can do. If you don't buy a Xiaomi device, heaven will not fall, and I will not go into depression. Apologies again, but no one owes anyone anything on this thread - we are just enthusiasts. Thread with caution, and respect. Thanks.

The update has been rolled back. They have gotten the numbers they need for the phased rollout. Keep the file.

get mod Spotify or Deezer. They come with no ad and a cleaner UI than Boomplay, Mod Deezer even supports offline mode.

There is a mod Deezer you can use to download externally to your phone storage.

Much as I love Xiaomi as a brand, and as much as I love their products - I believe those who have the franchise license for Xiaomi Nigeria are a bunch of moronic tools. I know Genius43 deserves special compensation for his work here, but I like the fact the tools in Xiaomi Nigeria have no relationship with this thread - they are better kept at arms length.

It means you shouldn't be there cos you definitely end up bricking or damaging your device. Even if someone tries to explain anything to you from there, you'll still not find it useful except you want to turn your device to a nuclear pile.

I tried using gcam in note 9 pro, it was very poor, in fact my default camera app shot better pictures, do you know why? It was all my fault, I don't know how to tweak the gcam or am I photographically savy and not even that interested in photography just wanted to follow the band wagon of gcam people but got disinterested and abandoned it because I didn't know how to use it and instead found the default camera app easier to use not that I've not seen better gcam pictures just all my fault.

Without a shadow of any doubt, you're 1000000% correct. See the mismanagement of the last launch for the RN10 Pro. The poor distribution of goods around the country. Poor presentation and arrangement during online launches amongst many other gaffes.

You're beyond correct sef. grin grin grin

At least you're being honest.

Honesty is far from the average Nigerian bros. It's never our faults, the buck has to stop elsewhere. Commander in chief is asking us to pray against bandits, when it's his responsibility to fish them out like the late Idris Deby did.

People with no interest, skill or aptitude just want to trend. By one week, them don tire for the whole thing. But it's not their fault, it's the phone's fault.

Please, if not others I really appreciated xiaomi for their coming to Nigeria because I discovered on time what transsion was doing on time that made me instead to go for belgium or london used premium brands such as lg g2, samsung s3, etc. I bought the brand new nokia e6 when symbian belle was still existing but as for androids, it was the belgium or london used premium android phones then, one problem I had then was battery backup wasn't great, sometimes network bands not matching plus bloatwares from vodacoms, orange, etc but I hated transsion right from time. My ever first brand new android phone was the redmi 6 pro, I can remember vividly how assured I felt at the balance strucked between the phone hardware quality, software and price. The picture below is the amulet or neck whatsoever that I proudly rocked then with the follow come charger of the redmi 6 pro. I dashed the phone out but see how solid and neat the amulet or whatever that thing is and the charger is still solidly working as I gave it to my cousin which he is using to charge his phone abandoning his own follow come charger of a phone he just bought last two weeks. I really love what xiaomi did to people like me, can't say for others but I know there are people who really appreciate the influx of xiaomi phones into Nigeria. They gave us a better and balanced options between the hoodlums transsion flooded the market with and the expensive vagabonds samsung and co wanted to murder average middle class people like us that wanted quality devices at affordable rates.

This thread is almost getting busy as back in the days. The Telegram channel almost rendered it irrelevant. I guess it's the torrent of newbies asking questions that is making it active again, with the old members giving responses accordingly.
