Good day. If one was arrested but later released the same day after questioning and lack of evidence, does the person need to indicate on the DS form that they were once arrested? Besides, the police were intimidating and wouldn’t let go unless money was dropped.

How was the question asked on the DS form? I can't remember exactly how the question is asked. That will determine your response.

Also where was the arrest done? In Nigeria? Was Statement taken after the arrest? If no Statement was taken, I'll be leaning towards saying no need to indicate it on the DS form. But again, like I said earlier, I also need to know how the question was coined in the DS form.

I don't think you need to indicate since you were not tried or convicted in the court of law provided it happened in Nigeria.

I got to the embassy by around 6:15am, we waited till around 7am till the security checks were done, , after everything I was called to window 17 and a chubby white guy interviewed me, I was asked just five questions

CO: how did you guys meet
Me: answered

CO: when did you propose
Me: I answered

CO: sorry i didn't understand what you explained on how you guys met, you talk so fast, please calm down a little,

Me: I started explaining from beginning.

CO: so who introduced you guys to each other, your uncle or hers

Me: mine

CO: what does she do

Me: answered

CO: I'm approving you and your visa will be issued within a week

Me: thank you so much sir, I'm grateful

CO: all the best in your marriage

It's either you posted your email in the forum sometime in the past OR you replied a PM that was sent to you in the past. Those are my two guesses, but I'm leaning more towards the latter.

You can PM Nairaland members.

If you are not connected to the the member sending the PM or the member is PMing the first time, your email address will not be visible until you you reply to the email, then the member can see your email address because your reply sent him an email.

So generally speaking, no one knows your email address until you reply the initial PM.

Finally My application have been reviewed recently after been paused for more than a year now. I have been asked to proceed with the next step which is medical.
Quick question: do I have to complete the immunization vaccination now or I can take some and complete the rest when I arrive at the US?

Yes you can start the Immunization process and then complete the rest in the States....if you want to. Whether you actually complete the process or not is irrelevant in your K1 process.

However you must use the recommended clinic where you will be assessed by health professionals. Things like blood pressure, urine analysis, X-ray, blood test will be done. Again, the results are irrelevant in the K1 process except if one is diagnosed with a treatable infectious disease. In that case, the disease will need to be treated before you go for the visa interview.

However, each country's medical requirement is different. The country you reside in might be more thorough in regards to the medical examination. However the underlying similarity is that you won't be denied visa based on your medicals.

Hello guys. My case status showed ready so I went to pay the visa fee and filled the form. I was also sent the confirmation page. Now what do I do , regarding getting an interview date? I checked on the site for next step but it’s just showing the Abuja and Lagos addresses. I’m clueless.
