You're welcome.

May God see every genuine Nigerian youths with legit huzzle through the hard times our wicked leaders put them through.

Stay focus and be creative and the sky is your limit.

One thing I have noticed during my trips across Africa is, besides business that you are asking for, services are on high demands everywhere and it's a gold mine.

What do I mean by services?

Skills.

What you can do with your hand. (Not buying and selling)

1. Barbing. Learn how to barb hairs it's always in demand. And all you need is a Clipper brushes and combs. When chips are down, that is what you can easily fall back on.

2.Weaving and plaiting (Nigerian guys do that a lot in South Africa and they make good money riding good cars)
Go and learn how to make ladies hair. Including attachment. Etc.

3. Civil Engineering. And every aspect of house building.
Plumbing
Painting
Electrical
Tiling
POP.
Welding
All these are in high demand but most of them are done by Senegalese, Cotonou guys. The only one I know they don't Ventura into is Aluminum windows and doors. So learn that. They build houses and hotels across AFRICA you won't lack jobs in that area.

4.
Art
You stand to make good money in Art anywhere especially where they have good tourism. With Art you can't be stranded.

5.
Buying and selling of what we have in Naija and is in demand where you are. This requires money. You gats to have good money.

Never travel out of Naija with the sole aim of using your certificate to work. Especially in Africa.
I am not saying your certificate is useless. No! Take your certificate along everywhere you go but learn skills.
Skills will bail you out when your certificate seems to be useless.

It's not easy typing all these. But I always have the passion to help people and I hate seeing youths take wrong steps in their struggle to make it in life.
So, don't mind the typographical errors.

Never Ever have the mind to go into crime. It's never a good venture. You will see guys wanting to lure you into it.

Never yield. All you need is God by your side, Your certificate in your file, a good Skill in your Hands and a Sharp brain in your skull.

All you stay blessed.

Thank you for your words.
But how about those of us with just tech skills?
Would you advise one have other skills to that?

Thank you.

I have been to google but what I got was general answers to my questions.

I want to study in Kigali but am torn between what to do.I know that every country has it ups and down but am willing to stick with this one.

But I need help on process and everything.Am need to traveling and won't want to make a grave mistake as my first time. So if there is any WhatsApp or telegram group,I would like to be added.

See as some people just came and spoil the fun for us. Things are expensive there, fine. Its not new, why do you have to attack the OP like that? He is living a student life, how will it be expensive compared to someone living in a 1million house? If all we think about is the cost of living then no one will travel out. Besides, not everyone in the travel thread is interested in really going out. Some of us are only interested in the fun, just to see the way life is in other regions. Now the OP had lost motivation in the thread.
OP please update the thread, I am looking forward to your adventures.

which fun you dey talk about coz the OP updates this thread once in a blue moon. Besides I see no wrong with people sharing their experiences about the same place. The OP is just being emotional. Nobody is attacking him. I have learnt more about Rwanda from those contributors than the OP because he does not even talk about the things want to know about instead he will go to the market and upload a video on YouTube so we can go and subscribe. If OP wants this thread to flourish then he should update more and talk about things that we will like to know about

Then Kigali, Rwanda should be your best bet, the country has everything you have stated and more you are going to enjoy it and the country is great to train children.

With 3 to 5 million Naira you can start a decent small business too.

But I will advice you to go to the country first go and see things first hand you and your wife will also not be a bad idea atleast for 2 to 3 weeks and explore the city yourself. there are decent Nigerians living in Kigali which l believed some of them have commented previously on this beautiful thread.

I have been to Kigali myself and many other countries in Africa so l know what l am recommending.

As for Mauritius l don't know much about it.

Kigali is also my choice for him, but asking him to go with his wife first is wrong bro. My reason is this. I bet u, if he dares go to spend 3weeks wit his wife first in Kigali, that 3mil he is planning to start up business wit will be finished on that trip even before the eventual relocation. Flight ticket alone with his wife, at least 300k will be out of the money. Then renting a house and feeding in Kigali for a whole 3weeks, i tell u, the least all that would cost him will be nothing lest than 1.5mil. That's if he is on a low profile oo. Kigali is all what he said he wants here, so he should go alone for now, established then come back and take his family. Mauritius is also very good, beautiful and every thing he listed here as the kind of place he want to settle in but the problem about Mauritius is that the country is damn too expensive and the population is too small. About 600k population, and their purchasing power is not that great. The competition there will be much for him. Thanks.

Of course him going alone is the best and first choice, but l don't know how financially bouyant he is that's why l suggested him going with his wife for few weeks as another option if he can afford it.

Rwanda is a beautiful and lovely country but if you don't have money, DO NOT GO THERE. Not even to hustle.
Just very good for vacation or holiday.

Enjoyed my vacation there to the fullest and plan to go back for holiday sometime next year.

Compared to lagos, Rwanda is a Lil bit more expensive, but nothing extraordinary.

Their locals are very friendly.

Hi, thanks for the precise info you guys are furnishing us with here. I plan on visiting Rwanda next month. Can you please provide guidance with regards flight and hotel accommodation in Kigali please?

If you can suggest a good, neat, and secured hotel I can stay while there. I plan to spend 2 weeks max.

Thanks.

Kigali is expensive, yeah i mean very expensive. I came in last week Saturday, arrived at the Manor hotel and later left for Ikaze B&B hotel. The room I lodged at the manor hotel with my friends is $150 per night. You can’t even compare it to a 4 star hotel in Nigeria. Very wack service. Housing is very expensive. Me and my guys rented a 4 bedroom semi detached duplex in Umucyo estate for $1,000 per month that’s like 1 million RWF, so we paid $2,000 total ( 1 month caution fee) I know d stress we went through b4 seeing a landlord willing to collect 1 month rent. Most houses here don’t even have AC, their taxi is expensive. Yegocars or so is like Uber. Very expensive, data is expensive 10,000 RWF for 12GB on 4G damnnn. What I only like is their ladies haha, big bummmmm

There's no developed country, or very good developing country in the world where things are not expensive, in fact Kigali is only but a learner where Luanda, Port Louis AND capitals of other African countries day, AS LONG AS EXPENSIVE IS CONCERNED. what should concern you is whether you can make money there to cover your expenditure.
