Police Release Oil Worker Wrongly Arrested And Paraded As An Unknown Gunman (Photos)

A 40-year-old oil worker identified as Casmir Ibegbulem, has been released by the police after wrongly arrested and paraded as one of the unknown gunmen attacking security formations in Imo state, IgbereTV reports.

Casmir Ibegbulem who is a father of one and expectant father of another is a “Permit Holder” staff member of an oil company in Bonny Island, Bayelsa State and a native of Ogwa Community in Mbaitoli, Imo State.

According to reports, he returned home for the burial of his in-law which took place on May 28, but was arrested in Owerri when he came to pick up some personal items needed for the burial.

Nancy AmaraGod, a native of Ogwa community who confirmed that Ibegbulam has been released, wrote on Facebook;

If this man didn't have a good organisation to reffer to or be identified with, he would eat beans that he didn't cook forever. Others might be innocent too.
Don't be surprise that 98 persent of people killed or arrested has IPOB or ESN are innocent people.

I hope everyone who commented on the arrest of this young man the and protest that followed can go back and view their posts as a mirror to their souls and inquire of themselves whether they are indeed worthy to be called citizens of a nation that hopes to dig itself out of its numerous challenges.

Such a pity.

You can see how these people operate, assuming they killed him during the arrest, will they come out to tell us it was a mistake?

From that picture you will doubt those guys are UGM.

While he is an oil worker and have people who will speak for him, others may not.

This goes to prove that Nigerian Police is always in the business of arresting, parading and killing innocent people.

Just the way they killed some innocent men in Imo, tied charms and piece of red cloths around their waist with some guns and Biafra flag then tagged them Gulak killers.

People keep wondering why they keep attacking the police stations, it's because of their evil ways and soon it will be the military.

Liars like their president.

Then police should not arrest anyone henceforth? If they cannot obey the same law they are meant to enforce, then their is no point of continuing as a country.

He was lucky they didn’t shoot him at sight and parade his body. This happened to someone I knew a long time ago. His family dropped him off to go back to school, he took a cab and boom, the occupants of the cab were arrested! He continued pleading and insisting he didn’t know anyone among them but nobody cared to listen. His only stroke of luck was that one of the officers who was assigned to parade and execute them took pity for some unknown reason and asked him further questions, then found out that he even knew his family.

Could you imagine how shocked his family would be to be waiting for a call that he got to his destination safely only to receive a call that he was about to be executed for robbery? No investigation, nothing. Just like that he almost got wasted and photographed and paraded to the world for something he knew nothing about

If you have an opportunity to visit Nigeria police cell or unfortunate to be in a Nigeria police cell, you will be surprised the number of innocent soul they locked up. I have found myself in this guy Shoe, ever since then, I hate Nigeria Police. They are the worst set of human being on earth. This guy was released after parting with a huge amount of money (they don't joke with money either innocent or not) because he has an identity and those that speak out for him. Imagine if he don't have a job or a good job, and have no body to speak for him?

All of them are 100% innocent. They just do random raid and parade those arrested as unknown gunmen

That's why crime never reduces. They'll rather arrest an innocent person than take the risk of arresting real criminals.
