Iwobi's best position is behind the striker, Iwobi has no business playing as a winger,Iwobi and Nacho pairing would have been better. Awaziem plays better as a right back. Musa and Shehu should be shown the exit door
At the words in bold, you are very correct.
Iwobi is the best SS in Super Eagles as it stands.

Iwobi's pressing and work rate combined with that of Osimhen will spell menace on any opposition.

We will experience the diamond in Iwobi and reap extensively the beauty in 4-4-2 when we play lwobi behind the striker.

It is sir

Ebuehi or aina ,I am good with any of them

Onuekuru or Simon I am also good with any

But wi rohr even manages to play onuekuru ?
I'll even prefer Onyekuru to Simeon unless we are playing a game we need a lot of defending.. Onyekuru is a proper inverted winger.. He can guarantee you goals.
Rohr just doesn't know how best to utilize this squad at his disposal...
Forget man management skills..the man is a clueless tactican...

I think we all need to be concerned about the statement Rohr made to the media that the super eagles don't have what it takes to reach the semi final of the world cup.
Even if he is right, as a coach,he isn't supposed to be saying such things.. He is supposed to be a source of motivation for his players.. Anything can happen in football. We have seen smaller teams pull up surprises in big stages when nobody expect it.

What if Rohr deliberately sabotage the team just so as to prove that he was right with his statement?

The man is clearly not confident in himself and he seem to be translating that fear to his players

Good point. His pessimism has always worried me. At first I saw it as a sign of humility but it is clearly evident in his tactical approach (or lack thereof). I’m just hoping we get things right by September when 2nd round of qualifiers begin.

It's becoming annoying..
That was how he told the media that Osimhen and Onyekuru weren't getting game time at the last AFCON because they weren't physically strong enough (can't recollect the exact words)..Like wtf??
The same Osimhen is our main target man now..

The question is why don't you people want to question Okoye and Awaziemhuh That's what I really want to know.
only a blind man won't see okoye's fault, his reaction was too slow

I have been observing the comments from most persons in this platform and it seems we all have agreed that we need to let go of Rohr, if we intend to perform better in future tournament.
We also need to let go of the current leadership of NFF.
Some persons are benefiting off from Rohr's contract at the expense of good football.
I pray Siassa gets victory at the court.

Scottish Premiership rivals Glasgow Rangers and Celtic are ready to battle for Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel in the summer transfer window.

The online edition of Turkish sports newspaper Fotospor claims that Fenerbahce want to generate money from the sale of players and have put Osayi-Samuel and three other players on the transfer market.

The Yellow Canaries are holding talks with Monaco over a swap deal involving Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Monaco face competition from Rangers and Celtic for the services of the former Queens Park Rangers dazzler.

The 23-year-old was linked with both Glasgow giants in the January transfer window but Fenerbahce won the race for his signature.

Osayi-Samuel's transfer to Fenerbahce has not gone according to plan, with the winger scoring just once in eighteen appearances in the Turkish top-flight.

He has a contract with Fenerbahce until June 2025 and if his move to Scotland materializes he would not require a work permit as he has a British passport.

Leicester, Wolfsburg and Lyon have joined the race to sign Arnaut Danjuma after a great display in the English Championship for AFC Bournemouth.

West Ham United, Wolves, Watford and Southampton are some of the other clubs who have been linked with the Nigerian-Dutch.

The 24-year-old is widely viewed as one of the most exciting attacking talents outside of the Premier League.

He scored 17 goals in the just ended season, but his club failed to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

William Troost-Ekong and Jamilu Coliins have been ruled out Tuesday’s friendly against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, reports Completesports.com.

The duo picked up injuries against same opponent on Friday and will play no part in the next game at the Stadion Weiner Neustadt.

Troost-Ekong was replaced by Valentine Ozorwanfor late in the game after picking up an injury, while Collins stayed on for the entire duration of the game.

“It’s a difficult situation to have a defence (for the second game),” admitted the Eagles coach.

“We may now have to change the system and play with three defenders.”

Only four defenders; Chidozie Awaziem, Shehu Abdullahi, Anthony Izuchukwu and Ozorwanfor are available for the game.

The Indomitable Lions defeated the Super Eagles 1-0 in the first friendly on Friday night.

There's no available natural fullback left..
Best to revert to 3-5-2 on Tuesday..
Simeon and Iwobi or Anayo should play wingbacks..

Ekong was covering for Awaziem who was caught out of position while Okoye was a bit slow to react to Anguissa's shot. Even the midfielders could have reacted faster to Ekong's clearance. Ekong gets full marks from me for trying to avert danger. I can bet if it was someone like kepa that conceded that goal he would have been torn to shreds
In the move for the Cameroon goal:
Ekong's interception was 5/10, a better defender perhaps has the situational awareness to know that a team mate will not be the first onto the loose ball that would result from intercepting that way and dealt with the situation in a different way.

Okoye being beaten on his near side from outside the box is just short of a howler. He is 6ft 5!! It was a decent shot but nothing special so it's 3/10 for me. African keepers like Mendy or Onana I reckon would have pushed that shot around the post for a corner.

Nightmare international break. And it's too late to call up a few more defenders.

It is obvious that with Gernot Rohr the Super Eagles stands no chance of glorious outing in the nearest future. He has no words of inspiration in him to push most of these guys beyond their limits. He speaks in manners i will consider as tepid and uninspiring most times especially in interviews in the guise of being humble or modest in such a way that one can see surely the passion for glory is not just in him. He's constantly downplaying every performance as if there's nothing to it. We are surely on a long ride with this man of a coach.

I envy the Algerians and Djamel Belmadi. That man is driven and ambitious. He has breathed life and confidence into the national team. The Algerian people and the Algerian FA are sternly behind him. A well spoken man who speaks highly of his players regardless of the leagues they play in.

Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente and Portuguese setup Benfica are thrashing out terms for Nigeria international Tyronne Ebuehi.

Portuguese sports daily A Bola has built on reports from the Dutch media that Twente are negotiating the permanent acquisition of the Dutch-born fullback.

Ebuehi spent the whole of last season on loan at The Tukkers and was one of the most used players by manager Ron Jans, making 33 starts from a possible 34 in the Dutch top-flight and went the distance in the only game played by the club in the TOTO KNVB Beker.

Twente are planning to exercise the option to buy, which was set at two million euros when the defender moved on loan, but they want the fee lowered.

Ebuehi is aware that he needs to be playing regularly to stand a chance of being included in the Super Eagles squad to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and Benfica cannot guarantee him playing time.

Indeed, the 25-year-old has yet to make his competitive debut for Benfica, three years after joining the club from ADO Den Haag.

SCORENigeria can exclusively reveal that Sadiq Umar has received “a very tempting” offer by La Liga club Valencia after his club UD Almeria crashed out in the promotion playoffs to Girona.

A source close to the striker, who netted 20 goals in the Spanish Segunda Division this past season, informed SCORENigeria: “Valencia are in the forefront to sign Sadiq.

“They have made a mouth-watering offer to him.”

Almeria finished fourth in La Liga 2 but fell 3-0 on aggregate to Girona in the promotion playoffs semifinal.

The former Nigeria U23 star has been linked with several top clubs in Spain and beyond on the back of his goals for ambitious Almeria.

However, he still has a contract till June 2025 after Almeria paid five Million Euros to sign him from Serbian club Partizan in October 2020.

His transfer market value is now put at eight Million Euros.

Galatasaray defender Valentine Ozornwafor looks set to partner Chidozie Awaziem in the heart of the Super Eagles back four in Tuesday’s rematch between Super Eagles and Cameroon.

Former Flying Eagles star Ozornwafor, 22, made his long-awaited Eagles debut Friday in the first friendly against Cameroon as a late sub.

However, in the absence of stand-in captain William Ekong, who was injured in the first Cameroon game, the left-footed Ozornwafor will now get a big chance to stake a claim for a place in the squad ahead of 2022 World Cup qualifiers in September.

His call-up for the matches against Cameroon came as a big surprise given that he did not see much action for Galatasaray this past season.

He clocked only eight minutes in his only appearance in the Turkish league for ‘Gala’ this past season.
