With or without democracy, Nigeria is a 3rd world country (thanks to our clueless, visionless and greedy leaders), which cannot survive without aid, loans, and charity from 1st and 2nd world countries.

For a country this pathetic, helpless and messed up, the government needs to be tolerant, rather than forming "super-power" when they are powerless towards handling the repercussions of their actions.

SERAP is a useless organization. How can you ask Commonwealth to Sanction Nigeria when you know that whatever sanction is applied will only affect Nigerians and not the political class.

The sanctions can be targeted at the Buhari administration officials directly responsible for the human rights abuses.
Travel ban alone will reset the brain of the average Nigerian elite.
