I'm tired of Buhari Media Crew.

From the inserts, I have a pretty good idea who the poster is; inserting narratives to drive home an agenda. Someone did that most recently in an identical fashion.

I'm so glad these governments are now beginning to realize the dangers of allowing these propaganda mongering agencies that called themselves social media companies to have so much power.

Just look at how they singlehandedly installed Sleepy Joey as US president by carefully ensuring that nothing about Hunter Biden was discussed in the media prior to the 2020 Presidential election.

Bias is their modus operandi.

Thank you Buhari for taking such a bold move in alerting the rest of the world on the grave danger that these propaganda mongering agencies pose.

For once Nigeria led and the worlds largest democracy followed suit THE NEXT DAY and the father of all parliaments also followed suit THE NEXT DAY. Nigeria will rise again regardless of what its enemies are planning. God pass them and their sinister plans.

The person who made the above statement MUST be living on MARS. Where and when on earth has the ZOO EVER led in anything? NIGERIA is a godamn country and GOD will DESTROY it. Keep on with your UP NIGERIA until you're destroyed.

They're regulated already i don't think there is any social media platform in the world that has no rules & regulation or terms & condition. my major concern is why are the world so desperate to gag freedom of speech that seems to only exist on social media, they succeeded to gagging tv & radio stations if we allow them take social media then we are doomed cos thats like taking everything from us.
freedom of speech is essential to the survival of humanity, leaders wana feel like god

Don't mind them, now I know Britain and Nigeria government have cow brain and plz don't let them decieve u because all of them are the same thing and they know the power of social media that's why they're trying to control everything in terms of regulations, twitter is already doing that already including other platforms too because when trump messed up we saw what twitter did even facebook too, so if is to start paying tax no wahala but the issue of regulations they're doing it already just that social media is the fastest way for truth and secret to be leaked that's why they're trying to get control over it and continue with their evil plan......and again THE END IS NEAR!!!

Britain supports regulation of comments and posts by social media platforms which means, they r against buhari act.
No matter what happens, Buhari has no right to ban Twitter because he defaulted in their policies. I wonder d face buhari will use to twwet back in twitter wen the ban is over
He has no right - who told u that lie?

Everybody knows that social media is not perfect and needs to be regulated. However no other country has banned any social media company because they deleted someone’s tweet. Not even when Donal Trump’s account was suspended did the US think of that. It’s a dangerous thing to do!

Don’t get it twisted. No one is following Nigeria’s lead. Nigeria is being governed by a nepotistic dictator who will soon be sanctioned!

We are waiting for Lai to ban Facebook and Instagram too!
Your saw beyond the veil of BMC at work. It's another post for pọnmọ, afterall, they have banned twitter, they have to show workings elsewhere.

Social media is here to stay. Every platform will be stricter with their community regulations so much that bots will be enough to switch off unacceptable posts. Either from US, UK, Nigeria or India.

Twitter Ban - Britain Follows Nigeria's Lead and Warns Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube To Regulate Their Sites Content

Nigeria Bans Twitter on Friday 4th June 2021, India writes letter to warn twitter to obey Indian laws on Sat 5th June, British Government writes to Twitter, Facebook and TikTok on Sat 5th June to regulate the content posted on their sites and from now on, the British National Crime Agency (NCA) will now work with tech companies to swiftly identify and remove dangerous content from their platforms (the same thing the Indian Govt is proposing to Twitter and all tech companies that want to keep operating in India)

The Indian Govt plans which some social media companies have already started implementing will mean twitter and co will be bound by law to identify the first person than creates a post on Twitter so that offensive and potentially dangerous posts can be traced back to the initial originator unlike now where inflammatory and potentially dangerous posts to national security is posted without any repercussions.

For once Nigeria led and the worlds largest democracy followed suit THE NEXT DAY and the father of all parliaments also followed suit THE NEXT DAY. Nigeria will rise again regardless of what its enemies are planning. God pass them and their sinister plans.

In the same British article below, a subsidiary of Facebook made £222 billion last year paid Zero corporation tax because the company is incorporated in Bermuda - a well known tax dodging haven used by criminals to hide their illicit wealth. but this is changing as the G7 meeting in the UK last week resolved to tax the Tech giants including Twitter and Facebook etc a minimum of 15% corporation tax and this will be adopted globally by all countries in the world and as long as you make a profit margin of 10% in a country you will have to pay 15% corporation tax on your profits to that country unlike before where you can hide behind off shore domicile in a Tax haven.

So Twitters Jack and his tax dodging billions can now have something to think about including paying their fair share of taxes to society and maybe Jack's billionaire induced arrogance and veiled imperialist tendencies will now simmer down as one of their own - Britain - has followed Nigeria's lead in clipping their arrogant, tax dodging and "unaccountable" wings / feathers and by the time Britain and other leading world powers finish with plucking Twitters feathers, he will no longer "unfairly" ridicule the President of the largest black nation on earth .

Every government in the world recognise the fact that Social Media companies should be accountable and regulated.
The problem though is that there's no generally agreeable (always) definition of what regulation is.

To some of these guys regulation means allow only what [I] support. Every other disliked movement/voice should be removed.
So who's right?

Social media companies aren't doing worse than any single nation in defending human rights. In many cases they are doing better than most countries. Last month, a president in Europe brought down a plane because his "enemy"was on it. Let's even forget about Nigeria. While these social media guys aren't perfect, I can't really see
much effective criticisms other than "do what I like" from critics.

Deleting Buhari's tweet was the last straw that broke the camel's back, it was an accumulation of perceived offences, not just that alone. Imagine Dorsey raising money for #Endsars protests that ended up taking the lives of over 50 policemen and burning of government infrastructures!

That is definitely not following Nigeria footsteps.

They are two different things.

The UK wants Twitter to keep deleting highly offensive posts like that of buhari.

And also they will try to arrest people who make highly offensive posts.

And there is nothing wrong with that.
How many of those elites with post considered offensive had caused chaos & massacre people like fulanis bandit that say or post nothing.
If our govt are carrying out there responsibilities as they should no one can instigate masses (people who voted for them) against them.
No influencer or activist can instigate an american against america cos citizens welfare is a topnotch priority they can die as heroes for there country. recently top army officers died in helicopter n we are begging buhari to comment. you can beat a baby n stil dictate how he/she cries

What you need to do is learn not write, write, write. Nobody is following Nigeria's lead. Those countries are clearly proposing regulation of social media, which a lot of people agree with. Perhaps for you, because twitter is the subject, these countries can only be taking the same measures.

I believe part of the regulation was why buhari's comment was taken down by Twitter, so it's not new.
The banning of Twitter by the Nigerian govt is not about regulation but wanting the people not air dissenting view at all, gagging. The govt want the people to take waht ever it gives the people without question.

Yorubas and democracy...

Traditional Igbo political organization was based on a quasi-democratic republican system of government . In tight knit communities, this system guaranteed its citizens equality, as opposed to a feudalist system with a king ruling over citizens(like Obas for Yorubas, Emir for Fulanis, Hausas and some Yorubas)

After buhari failed Nigerians in the 80s, no igbo man would have been able to force buhari through the throat of an igbo man without answering sensible questions about his first failed government in the 80s unlike how tinubu forced buhari on millions of his educated people....

Igbos are Democrats, take it or leave it.
A society with no identifiable leadership system! That was far from a near perfect democratic setting. That was why it was possible for one scam artist to raise an army of zombies while the elders look on helplessly.
