Twitter excesses is becoming too glaring and I am happy an African president could nail them.

Republicans in USA will definitely be running congratulatory calls to His Excellence at the moment. They did be commending his doggedness.

Lol been regulated also mean deleting any further genocide threat from buhari also. Where did you drop your brain?

Tell Buhari not to travel to America, UK or EU anymore. If he travels, he wont return. If he returns, he won't last 6 months.

Keep this post. Osinbajo should get ready. Nigerians will laugh last.

Britain supports regulation of comments and posts by social media platforms which means, they r against buhari act.
No matter what happens, Buhari has no right to ban Twitter because he defaulted in their policies. I wonder d face buhari will use to twwet back in twitter wen the ban is over

All of a sudden, you're okay with the social media regulation of comments and posts just because it is coming from the UK government?

Twitter Ban - Britain Follows Nigeria's Lead and Warns Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube To Regulate Their Sites Content

Nigeria Bans Twitter on Friday 4th June 2021, India writes letter to warn twitter to obey Indian laws on Sat 5th June, British Government writes to Twitter, Facebook and TikTok on Sat 5th June to regulate the content posted on their sites and from now on, the British National Crime Agency (NCA) will now work with tech companies to swiftly identify and remove dangerous content from their platforms (the same thing the Indian Govt is proposing to Twitter and all tech companies that want to keep operating in India)

The Indian Govt plans which some social media companies have already started implementing will mean twitter and co will be bound by law to identify the first person than creates a post on Twitter so that offensive and potentially dangerous posts can be traced back to the initial originator unlike now where inflammatory and potentially dangerous posts to national security is posted without any repercussions.

For once Nigeria led and the worlds largest democracy followed suit THE NEXT DAY and the father of all parliaments also followed suit THE NEXT DAY. Nigeria will rise again regardless of what its enemies are planning. God pass them and their sinister plans.

In the same British article below, a subsidiary of Facebook made £222 billion last year paid Zero corporation tax because the company is incorporated in Bermuda - a well known tax dodging haven used by criminals to hide their illicit wealth. but this is changing as the G7 meeting in the UK last week resolved to tax the Tech giants including Twitter and Facebook etc a minimum of 15% corporation tax and this will be adopted globally by all countries in the world and as long as you make a profit margin of 10% in a country you will have to pay 15% corporation tax on your profits to that country unlike before where you can hide behind off shore domicile in a Tax haven.

So Twitters Jack and his tax dodging billions can now have something to think about including paying their fair share of taxes to society and maybe Jack's billionaire induced arrogance and veiled imperialist tendencies will now simmer down as one of their own - Britain - has followed Nigeria's lead in clipping their arrogant, tax dodging and "unaccountable" wings / feathers and by the time Britain and other leading world powers finish with plucking Twitters feathers, he will no longer "unfairly" ridicule the President of the largest black nation on earth .

When everyone becomes accountable to whatever they post online, even online trolls and cyberbullies will reduce. They made these social media platforms so lax that they became haven for people with double character using the anonymity of the platforms to become filled with bigotry and hatred to the point that even President Buhari who is trying to save his citizens from vicious state actors sponsoring the IPOB terrorists suddenly became the one they blame for standing up to bullies like IPOB terrorists. Haba na, this report clearly show that England and Indian want twitter to Hold it users responsible for ANY NEGATIVE POST "Like the Genocidal post of PMB".

By identifying, reporting and deleting such post as they did with PMB post.

And you people (BMC) are here shouting Nigeria leads.

The worst lie on planet earth, is a lie to oneself.

Black leads that's why thousands of Africans risk drowning on ramshackle boats to enter their countries and young men marry 60 year old women for their passports.

Because for over 200 years, British colonial administrators made Africa a war zone. Independence is only on paper. England wiped out over 50000 Kenyans, their generations are still in anguish. Germany apologized for extermination of 80000 Namibians in 1904....the descendants of the deceased are still in mental anguish.

France no wan leave francophone African countries alone.

Just the same way illegal British and German migrants came to our shores then is the same way we are going to their shores now. The conqueror writes the history books; don't let them deceive you.

Donal Trump was no longer the America President because, his days in office were numbered when His Twitter's handle got deleted. Twitter has been a Crime abator politically, socially and economically.
Twitter quickly deleted Kanu's war-monger tweet by the time she discovered that things are getting clearer to the mass.
Behold! For the rest sane countries would be taking down the Twitter, should incase, she is suspected for an Injustice.

Yorubas and democracy...

Traditional Igbo political organization was based on a quasi-democratic republican system of government. In tight knit communities, this system guaranteed its citizens equality, as opposed to a feudalist system with a king ruling over citizens(like Obas for Yorubas, Emir for Fulanis, Hausas and some Yorubas)

After buhari failed Nigerians in the 80s, no igbo man would have been able to force buhari through the throat of an igbo man without answering sensible questions about his first failed government in the 80s unlike how tinubu forced buhari on millions of his educated people....

Igbos are Democrats, take it or leave it.
All your ignorant post proves is that you know absolutely nothing about Yoruba history and tradition. Yoruba Obas were no more "feudalist" than the Queen of England or the King of Sweden - the concept of absolute rule was unknown, as they had to take the advice of councils of elder statesmen, and Obas who refused to heed their advice and respect the general will could be deposed and even killed.

If I were to emulate your peculiar brand of bigoted ignorance, I could say that the inability of Igbos to organize above the village and hamlet level was no sign of "democracy" but of societal backwardness due to runaway individualism and a lack of state-building institutions, and I would have far more evidence in my favor than you do in yours.

Jack overplayed his hand.

The world governments have been dying to control social media. He is giving them reason.

In the meantime he took Twitter hq to Ghana targeting Nigerians then said they didn’t know who our president is. Let them go and do Twitter in Ghana.

They have invested nothing in Nigeria for the amount of trouble they cause in the country.

At least Britain and India are all about clamping down tweeps tweeting dangerous tweets.

While, our own president tweeted a tweet which will include killing of some particular people and this type of tweet is against their policy hence twitter taking it down.

If you want to give order to kill some particular people, you have national television and news paper medias in your country that can help you circulate your agendas.

Now, your tweet was deleted, you got emotional and threw tantrums.
They are one and the same because with regulation comes penalty. If regulation had been in place, there would have been no need for tweeter's ban. The grouse of the FG is mainly not because of the takedown of Mr president's tweet but because of the support of the Endsars and subversive elements by tweeter. During Endsars, the FG advised tweeter to take down offensive tweets but tweeter refused citing Freedom of expression. Therefore, if there was regulation in place, tweeter would have done the right thing.
