Twitter excesses is becoming too glaring and I am happy an African president could nail them.

Republicans in USA will definitely be running congratulatory calls to His Excellence at the moment. They did be commending his doggedness.

Keep talking NONSENSE. Clap for yourself BMC.

If we want to follow the logic that those misbehaving Is meant to generalize Igbos, then it follows that Buhari cannot threaten boko haram cause that would mean threatening the Kanuris and Adamawa, bandits - Zamfara, militants - Niger Delta, etc.

What do you expect from the person that posted this thread? He is a die hard fan of the present predicaments nigeria is facing if u know what I mean

Everybody knows that social media is not perfect and needs to be regulated. However no other country has banned any social media company because they deleted someone’s tweet. Not even when Donal Trump’s account was suspended did the US think of that. It’s a dangerous thing to do!

Don’t get it twisted. No one is following Nigeria’s lead. Nigeria is being governed by a nepotistic dictator who will soon be sanctioned!

We are waiting for Lai to ban Facebook and Instagram too!

Facebook and Twitter did a good thing. Trump was a threat to national security. A lot of people outside the US don't realize that

Going by the details, I think the named countries are urging the social media giants to regulate content, which was what Twitter did and got banned in Nigeria.

Nigeria doesn't lead here,my friend. These countries are trying to regulate and not stifle free speech.Conversely, Nigeria is gagging it. We only lead in stupidity. This is the intro of communism. You can't gag free speech and not tag it communism.

Please Opera mini is one of such promoting illegal adverts.
Also, Google chrome is been used by bet companies such as bet9ja to cheat online customers. Bet9ja has a way to force its icon on the from page of Google chrome thereby controlling how everything about online betting (eg Casinos) operates. I will explain more if given the platform to say more.
It is an act of deception and defrauding Innocent online users.

No matter how hard you look you can't find a highly intelligent BMC nor can you find one who has above average reading comprehension skills.

This daft BMC doesn't even know that the import of what he claims the UK is saying actually SUPPORTS the deletion of Buhari's tweet.

Inflammatory posts should no longer be tolerated on Twitter. Especially those of former coup plotter turned fake Democrat Gen. Buhari.

Whoever picks these BMC guys really scrapes the bottom of the barrel. Dumbos the lot of them

The almighty US is ready working on social media regulations and heavy censorship.

One of the benefits of banning twitter I found is that Nigerians online have become a little calmer.
what Buhari did and what others are doing are two different things entirely Buhari and his cow brained followers can't even read and understand properly.

I STOPPED USING TWITTER A YEAR AGO WHEN I REALIZED THE DAMAGE IT IS DOING TO IGNORANT YOUTHS IN AFRICA.
THE FACT IS THAT MOST YOUTHS THAT ARE POORLY EDUCATED IN SOME NATIONS AND BADLY TRAINED WITH CELL PHONES ARE NOT YET CIVILIZED TO HANDLE INTELLECTUAL OR INFLAMATORY CONVERSATIONS ON TWITTER

THIS IS WHY TWITTER IS USED AS A BREEDING GROUND IN AFRICA TO PROMOTE MASS VIOLENCE, RACIAL BIAS ,TRIBAL DISCRINATION AND RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY, PROMOTING HATE AND HYSTERIA.BUT TWITTER IS NEVER MODERATED TO PROMOTE PRACE AND JUSTIC IN AFRICA.
AS FAR REACHIN AS TWITTER ,THEY NEVA USE TWITTER TO STOP TERRORISM AND CRIMINAL ACTS OR CORRUPT RULERS ACROSS NATIONS.

TWITTER IS A WMD BEING USED BY D DEVIL TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE IN FRAGILE NATIONS OF THE WORLD. IT IS GOOD TO PULSE AND THINK OF THE EVIL / HARM DONE BY TWITTER WHICH Far OUTWEIGHS THE BENEFITS.
STOP USING IT NOW. angryLook at igboland for instance in Nigeria ,the evil social media ground ,twitter has been used to destabilize and incenerate almost half the imo state.

There's a whole lot of difference between asking a social media platform to regulate its channel since fake news litter cyberspace these days. It is another thing to gag Nigerians from using Twitter just because a bigoted president who threatened genocide on a people had his tweet reported and taken down.

Unfortunately, even the big social media platforms can't "regulate" their site's contents just like that. These platforms are user-generated and act as micro-blogging platforms. If people can't air their opinion, then it takes away the social media platform's objective.

Almost every government would love to gag social media now since no one relies on government controlled media anymore. People see injustice around them, record them and write about them on their pages, which the government doesn't like.

If social media was gagged during Jonathan's time, the crop of failures we have now as leaders under the APC wouldn't even win because it was a vital tool to them.

Pls simply outline the president tweets that threatened genocide. Please

The second—undoubtedly against IPOB, Kanu and Igbos.

The Endsars violence was coordinated through Twitter.

That was when they crossed the Govt.

Now, it was being used to fuel the southeast unrest, FG had to act to nip them in the bud.

UpNigeria7:
Twitter Ban - Britain Follows Nigeria's Lead and Warns Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube To Regulate Their Sites Content

Nigeria Bans Twitter on Friday 4th June 2021, India writes letter to warn twitter to obey Indian laws on Sat 5th June, British Government writes to Twitter, Facebook and TikTok on Sat 5th June to regulate the content posted on their sites and from now on, the British National Crime Agency (NCA) will now work with tech companies to swiftly identify and remove dangerous content from their platforms (the same thing the Indian Govt is proposing to Twitter and all tech companies that want to keep operating in India)

The Indian Govt plans which some social media companies have already started implementing will mean twitter and co will be bound by law to identify the first person than creates a post on Twitter so that offensive and potentially dangerous posts can be traced back to the initial originator unlike now where inflammatory and potentially dangerous posts to national security is posted without any repercussions.

For once Nigeria led and the worlds largest democracy followed suit THE NEXT DAY and the father of all parliaments also followed suit THE NEXT DAY. Nigeria will rise again regardless of what its enemies are planning. God pass them and their sinister plans.

In the same British article below, a subsidiary of Facebook made £222 billion last year paid Zero corporation tax because the company is incorporated in Bermuda - a well known tax dodging haven used by criminals to hide their illicit wealth. but this is changing as the G7 meeting in the UK last week resolved to tax the Tech giants including Twitter and Facebook etc a minimum of 15% corporation tax and this will be adopted globally by all countries in the world and as long as you make a profit margin of 10% in a country you will have to pay 15% corporation tax on your profits to that country unlike before where you can hide behind off shore domicile in a Tax haven.

So Twitters Jack and his tax dodging billions can now have something to think about including paying their fair share of taxes to society and maybe Jack's billionaire induced arrogance and veiled imperialist tendencies will now simmer down as one of their own - Britain - has followed Nigeria's lead in clipping their arrogant, tax dodging and "unaccountable" wings / feathers and by the time Britain and other leading world powers finish with plucking Twitters feathers, he will no longer "unfairly" ridicule the President of the largest black nation on earth .

Tragically comedic ignorance…smh
All civilized countries hold media outlets (including SM) accountable for the use of their platforms.

PRIMITIVE DICTATORSHIPS instead prefer bans…
Even then, Nigeria does not even lead, but instead follow-follow the likes of North Korea, Iran, Uganda, etc.

Every government in the world recognise the fact that Social Media companies should be accountable and regulated.
I agreed that social media content should be regulated, but we'll know Nigeria Govt is doing this for their own selfish interest. This same media is where we see clear evidence and our govt still had the courage to lied about. We can't continue to deceive the masses, Nigeria Govt is not providing any job, a lot of youth lives depend on social media like Twitter, Facebook etc to publish their handiwork and other stuff. They are just fighting the wrong fight.
