I collected my fish today at a reputable hatchery, this is where success or failure start from in fish farming. be careful not to by runt from your hatchery.
it is always advisable to buy juvenile as the issue of cannibalism andmortality would be reduced.
my culture medium is earthen pond and here are some features your pond must have.
1 it must have already 3feet water deep.
2. A flow through pond is the best.
3. it must be well covered with next to prevent predators.
4. if it isn't old pond, it must be demudded and limed before stocking.
5. if you are is prone to flooding, guide the pond with chicken net

The business is not as lucrative as people like you make it seem especially when you consider cost of buying feeds,high mortality and cannibalism In catfish,cost of pumping water into their pond if it's not earthen pond.
