Story, Since most IPOB members are trying to handover one of the Best tribes in Africa to a tactless blogger and podcaster... I don't think we deserve to be number one, replace it Fulani(those guys are practically taking turns in over 300 tribes bums)
What IPOB is doing is why Ndigbo are in the list. It is called bravery and like they say "Bravery looks like stupidity to cowards"
I think you now know hey it looks like stupidity to you.
Madam COWARD. No offence please

Na fight go shele for this thread now, if it mistakenly gets to frontpage.

Sorry, you don't put powerful, brave and Yoruba in the same sentence, there's still about a 100 other tribes to list before you get Yoruba. Tiv?, Ikwerre?, Ijaw?, Akwaibom?, Jukun?, Ah abeg Yoruba still far abeg.

Yes, agreed. Those roofs are a proof of where development first started in Nigeria and of course Africa. The brown roofs are more evident in ibadan, the former largest city in the whole of Africa. As at the time those roofs were in place, about 70% of houses in Nigeria were covered with bamboos.

Yorubas didn't play any damned role in the victory of Nigeria during the biafra war, just stayed neutral like a typical Coward.

You must be a very ignorant kid. Go and ask your dad or grandfather who Benjamin Adekunle (aka Black Scorpion) was during the Biafra war.

what do you expect me to say, cry? When a mumu is making a comment on my tribe , the best way to deride him is laff. You laff off a senseless being for making a senseless comment. If you're yoruba, you'd understand better. You sef know what he said was laughable.

We have recorded many firsts in this country and it takes a brave heart to do so

Which tribe made a move for independence when others said we were not ripe for it?
who designed the national flag?
Who introduced road safety?
First television station in Africa?
First stadium in Nigeria?
The Nigeria legion?
The first university?
The first teaching hospital nko?
Who wrote national anthem?
Which woman first drove a car in Nigeria?
First professor first AGF?
Who stopped the civil war?
First medical doctor, etc

So one Yoruba man is now a people

Many northerners were backing the war through and through

Most Yorubas were more concerned about their businesses than the war

Shame unto you, those brown roofs in south west and those of easterners were built almost same time b4 the war,80% of buildings were destroy in south east during the war,but today the have go on building different type of houses with nice roofs, while yorubas continue to leave in houses built by their ancestors due to poverty.

from your comment, you're a very small boy. Go grab the history of Nigeria and study about yorubas which im sure you know much about but just pretending. Once again as of the time those brown roofs were in place only one percent of your region had their building covered with that type of roofs. Those roofs had been there as far back as 1914 and are still there as part of our heritage till date. See those upstairs covered by those brown roofs...can a poor man build such at that time? I've been to the length and breadth of your reagion and I've not seen such an ancient heritage in upstairs...the few seen were bungalows.

During the civil war, were your buildings also pulled down? Why didn't you have such in place too?. Go and watch the clip of the civil war. Most of the houses in your region were covered with bamboos which easily gutted fire during the war.

Its obvious you haven't heard of the man below.
Col Joe Achuzia, The Hannibal of Biafra , the man that halted the Soviet led invasion of Onitsha 7 times. The man that single handedly led waste to an entire wing of the Nigerian army at one swipe at Abagana

Whoever you are. You didn't read any history. I do pity people like you. Someone just sat you down and told you some cock and bull stories and you fell for it. This character is usually found with Igbos. I've noticed they just claim they know history when one idiot sit them down to tell them a skewed history. It will do you a favour to read history about various tribes in Nigeria especially that of the Igbos. I also noticed where you said the Benin just have stories. Dude I laugh at you. The history of Benin is largely in the Library of Congress in UK so it's not all made up stories. And I hope you listened to Asari Dokubo when he said the historical relationship between Igbos and Ijaw was master and slave. He wasn't saying nonsense. History can back up that claim

BKayy:

Look around you, you'll see why.
I can't vouch for Igalas though.
Igbo have both pre colonial and post colonial history. Have never been conquered, no visible trace of being subdued by fellow Africans. Dragged with the British colonialists for 28 solid years in the Battle field before colonialisation (longest for any African), the revolts for slaves of Igbo origin (Igbo landing and the Maroons). Post Colonial, they dragged the Western Super powers (Britain and USSR) for 3 straight years in the battle field.
Presently, they have IPOB, ESN and UGM to vouch for them.
Kanuri has their history. Pre colonial, they defeated the Fulani forces clean. Post colonial, they have Boko Haram to vouch for them.
Fulani pre colonial Caliphate vouch for them, subdued more than half of the Northern tribes which include the entire Hausa, Jukun, Nupe, Gwari, Etsako in present Edo, Ilorin of Yoruba etc. Post colonial, they have ISWAP, Bandits and Herdsmen to vouch for them
Bini have only stories. Even Ijaw is kicking their ass at the moment. But nevertheless, the British met a stable Benin Kingdom with minor external influence, that showed proof of power. The way they received the colonialists showed bravery although it didn't last long

Are talking the Fulani who were defeated during the Akagbe War at the Udenu and Igbo Eze axis? There is nothing such as Fulani in the current episode but Nigerian armed forces doing the bidding for them because of the silly head of state.

Hahaha. You just read my mind. They kept saying our being more educated and developed was because lagos was a former state capital. Whereas before Lagos, capital was once in the south-south, calabar to be precise. The relics of Lugard and Flora Shaw are still there till today. From there to Lokoja and later Zungeru( northern colonial HQ) before Lagos. All these places never experienced development in spite if the federal presence. Amazingly, they all had waterways too, except Zumgeru. Finally, was moved to Abuja...yet all these regions aren't as economically viable as Yorubaland. Academically, we've got no match.

They always say ibos in lagos made it so develop as it is, as if there are no ibos in calabar, lokoja, Abuja, zungeru and other parts of Nigeria too. In kano alone, they're in millions, not to talk of kaduna.

We have the zeal and passion for progress even up to the national level. Most of the federal government ideas today were our initiatives. Yoruba anyday!

Yoruba have never being more educated in Nigeria and will never be. The British brought Sierra Leoneans and Igbo to assist in the day to day administration of Lagos. The returnees decided to call Lagos their home. Based on the population of free-slaves, returnees, the Yoruba as usual loudmouthed themselves into believing the "More educated" crap.
