The Director-General of Bureau Public Procurement (BPP), Mamman Amadu, has asked the National Assembly to make laws to regulate birth.

Amadu said the law should regulate the number of children can be born, in a bid to check population explosion.

The lawmaker said this while appearing before Committee on Finance on Tuesday.

According to the lawmaker, Nigeria’s population was 59 million at independence, now it is over 200 million.

“Our country is young. Just 60 years old and we must do everything to make sure we deliver so that this country can grow and meet the rest of the world. Apart from that, you all know that about the time of our independence, we were about 59 million, today we are about 200 million.

“We must prepare to take care of all these people that we are producing and possibly maybe you will use your legislative powers to reduce the number of children a couple have,” he said.

It would be recalled that the disposed Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi had made a number of suggestion of birth control, particularly in the North.

Rotfl.

Sharia will not let this work. It's even the elite in the National assembly that will first kick against it so their gullible followers can keep mass producing babies. This will enable them get more federal allocation per population and the most voters, a case study of the KKK states.

When I was enrolled for a master's program in ABU, I learned of a farmer there who has four wives and 51 children.

He's planning to divorce the first two wives so he can marry more.

SECONDED wholeheartedly.

If we have this kinda law in our darling country, the below wouldn't have happened.
While bringing into the world a child you cannot cater for ?

Using a scissors to slice of the ear of a 3 year old and labeling him a witch?
May devil punish that evil animal once again!

Baba wants to reduce northern voting strength.

And my friend Mallam Suleiman is still planning to give birth to another 12 children after already giving birth to 20 children which 16 out of the 20 are doing almajiri in Jigawa State

I hope my our Muslim brothers won't declare fatwa on him for talking about birth control

grin They will soon remove him from that seat.

The northerners hate anything birth control. They said it's against the koran rules.

They give birth to children they can't take care of.

They see it a political tool to hold the country to ransom.

They churn these babies out and push them into the streets to beg for alms.

They stop most of these babies from going to secular schools. They said it's haram. They prefer to send their wards to koranic schools that teach only about the arabic myths and legends.

These children in turn will resort to bokoharaming/terrorism or do indecent jobs just to survive.

These guys will marry and the cycle of pig-baby bearing style continues.

The elites loves the almajirinci system.

They don't know that they are breeding liabilities.

This country, let's just go our separate ways.

This to me is a welcome development. Nigeria is overpopulated and birth rate should be controlled. Let's pick sense from China.

Some regions of Nigeria will regard such as a violation of their divine obligation to uncontrolled procreation despite their dire poverty.

Even when a law maker came out in the open and said the amount of wives and numerous kids he has and hoping to add more, won't like this o.
Especially one region

The man just signed his death warrant, his Muslim brothers who are told to use birth as a weapon to outnumber infidels are going to come for him just like they did Sanusi. Is so shocking how a people can't see the direct relationship between our exploded population and the poverty that is rampaging the land. Even China would never have made it if they didn't adopt birth control, same thing Europe in the '50s. The banditry, bokoharam insurgency, chaos in the north are all manifestations. Even Fulani and farmers clash is part of it because Nigeria is a small country of only 900 thousands square kms which most don't know is very very small. Canada for instance has 10 times our land at 10 million square kms but they have only 35 million people. Even China with her huge population still got more land per head than Nigeria, for every 1,000 Chinese they got 7 square kms, for every 1,000 Nigerians we got only 6 square kms. How our leaders attend school and still remain clueless because of religion is a wonder only black people can do
