The Minority Leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, on Wednesday declined comments when invited by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, to speak on the achievements of the 9th Senate in the last two years.

The Senate set aside the Wednesday plenary to celebrate the achievements of the Lawan-led Senate since it was inaugurated on June 11, 2019.

There was, however, a mild drama after the Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, had delivered his speech and Lawan invited Abaribe to give his own speech.

The Minority Leader merely stood up and said, “Thank you Mr. President but the Minority Leader will like to decline to make comments.

The Senate President thanked Abaribe for his comments and called others senators to make their comments.

Abaribe then walked out of the chamber.

The achievement of the Lawan led 9th senate has been to be a rubber stamp Pmb controlled senate.
Senate by Pmb, to Pmb and for Pmb.
In terms of checks and balance on the President, the Lawan led senate is the most useless senate in the history of Our democracy.

If is clear to all and sundary the 9th senate is a rubber stamp senate.....If he had taken the microphone to speak about this, the rubber stamp senate president would've just either cut him off or sanction him for breaking the house rules....blah...blah...black sheep.

Sometimes actions speaks louder than voice, his action to refrain from speaking when there's obviously nothing to talk about is indeed commendable, especially at a period in which speaking against this evil federal goverment is equated to treason like in the days of Abacha
