I read the book titled WHEN A CHILD IS MOTHERLESS by Andrew Okogba when I was in primary school and cried a lot while reading it

Again, I read it while in secondary school and also cried.

No book has ever made me cry like that book did.

I should read it again.
Did any of you read it please?
Do you have the pdf or epub?

Aha! We are in the information age! There's now a Wikipedia article about Kokoro. It's not very detailed, but it gives you an idea of who he was.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokoro_(musician)

Quite different from the Kokoro you've been talking about. cool

I've got soft copies of Things Fall Apart and No longer At Ease by Achebe, The Famished Road (Ben Okri) and I'm willing to share. Hard copies of The Passport of Mallam Ilia, The New Man, Toads for Supper, The Concubine... I don't know how that can be shared smiley

I guess this thread can be an avenue where lovers of classics can share with one another.

Please share me. cool

It's the same. Nairaland truncated the link (you can see that it ends after the under score). You need to copy the link and paste it in the address bar in your browser.

I thought i saw Ralia Odinga grin cheesy

I know I've read this Boyslave book, but each time i try to conjure up the memory, Koku Baboni keeps popping up.

Who also remembers My Father's Daughter by Mabel something?

Boy slave, Shettima. Loved it.

Was kidnapped, taken to the palace of a Sheihk to serve the prince, after a dangerous encounter with Matamba, a daredevil foreman that attacked the prince. He saved the prince. The princess fell in love with him but he preferred her servant.

Love these books . I've visited countless bookshops looking for them without success

This took me down memory lane. Wow!!

I also remember another one written by Cyprian, about an old man struck with a spell of the wandering disease. Each time someone mentions Sokugo, the old man loses his senses and starts wandering upandan distant lands. I have forgotten the name but the plot has stayed with me all these years.
the novel is titled "the burning grass".
