Read a lot on this thread and I'm shocked. I never knew the whole process was this tough. I'm 23, Looking to pursue a master's degree in canada but from all I've read here,I think my chances are slim so I'd opt for a pgd instead..Graduated with a 3.9/5 cgpa in accounting in 2019. Job experience is not that convincing. I worked for 5 months as an intern in a bank for my siwes program,I don't know if that counts. Then after nysc, which was marred by covid, I worked in a business firm for 4 months. I left the business firm for a job with a higher pay grade but unrelated to my field of study , 4 months into that job as well...Do I have a shot at studying in Canada atm Or I will be chasing my own tail? |

Good evening House. My application refused for the second time for the following reasons: I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions in the documents you have submitted in support of your application, as required by subsection 16(1) of the IRPA. Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: Your answer to Question 2b) on your IMM1294 application form. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. The first rejection was based on course of study not being reasonable with my current profession and academic qualifications, level of establishment, IELTS, Prospect. Our amiable gurus in the house, what do you advice, should I reapply even though my IELTS expired in April 2021?. More also, what are the likely implications if I choose to replace my sponsor with another, a cousin, previously my in-law, because my statement of personal finance and asset were flagged in the second application when I had about N6m in it which wasn’t in the first and can’t explain why. Thanking you in anticipation. |

Whale2018: The simplest way to clear this doubt is pay your full tuition and have 10k deposit of GIC. Having a sponsor with even 50M still raises doubt of accessibility of fund for the sponsored. 2 Likes |

If I may add to what Frank said, please check with your institution regarding their plan for the mode of delivery of courses for the next term (semester). This is because most Canadian institutions aim to switch back to in-person teaching for Fall (on the condition that the covid case numbers keep dropping and that most Canadians would hopefully have been vacinnated by then). So, in the long run, online classes might not be feasible if they eventually revert to physical teaching. In summary, ensure that whatever plans you have made are flexible enough to suit any of the situations. All the best Lianna. Lianna2020: |

Good Morning Ayodeji786, Please can I DM or PM you? I need some info about MUN and I will be glad if you can help. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Ayindesegun10(m): 8:31am On Jun 13, 2021 |
Please if you're in MUN (or have applied to MUN in the past), especially for undergraduate studies, how did you send your documents (WAEC/NECO)? Is it through courier or will admission be given by uploading a scanned copy of the original WAEC or NECO result or do I have to physically send them a physical copy of my NECO result (and any other document required). Please I will appreciate prompt response as I've applied to MUN for over 2 months now and yet to get any feedback from them. Good morning all |

Ayindesegun10:I think due to COVID, you’ll only submit the scanned documents online. You don’t get to send physically to them. You can send a mail to the school admission office to ask about an update on your application |

Is there anybody noticing unusual activity in his gckey logins. When I logged in, I saw application/profile updated but when I tried to check it, I couldn't. After some minutes, I noticed that the application/profile updated has returned to "Submitted". Later, it went back to updated yet,not opening |

@Frankrobbn1 **Urgent, advise as sure and experienced** Please, what are my chances of convincing the VO of my study, being sponsored by the company where i currently work. This sponsorhip is under the condition/privilege of a scholarship being granted to me by the company as the Chairman is into empowerment programs in helping people, the needy in my state... And he has decided in the name of the company to give out a scholarship of study abroad to one of his skilled and educated staffs, in which i was privilege amidst many to be the one. Please how convincing and genuine will this be, with the prove of the scholarship letter and the necessary documents...? I have been working there since 2011 as clerk due to academic background, while in University, i was working as part-time bcs my uni and company are in the same city, but after my degree, i was promoted... Few months after that, i got a national service leave from them for my Nysc And what are the documents i need to upload? Thank you! @Frankrobbn1 |

Pls house, I need ur kind advise. I intend to apply for a student visa this month of June, but I had challenges getting a sponsor so I used a friend's NGO as my sponsor, in which they HV paid my tuition deposit of 1,400Cads and intend paying for my accommodation as stated in the SOP, but I still feel uneasy as I prefer using my mum but she doesn't have a passport and she is a building contractor with CAC certificate. Though business isn't booming as expected. What if I look for money and put in her account? Hw will she be of help. Pls I need ur responses my Gurus. Pls don't mind my grammatical errors. Thanks. @Frankrobbn1 @JustMellow |

Thaiy: Ok then, noted. I know when u send webform and not sent to the office processing your application, the office u send to will acknowledge and inform u ur application has been rerouted to where ur file is. Furthermore, they will also let u know subsequent webforms or contact should be sent to where ur file is. This happened to me sha for my first webform, other webforms were not acknowledged but I saw action taken on my profile. Different strokes for different folks. |

I only have one answer to your many question If you want to use your mum, you have to build the account in the space of six months. Lump (huge) sum is always not advised as I’ve learnt here. Let’s wait for just mellow and frank to answer in details. Johanneiyoha: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Zodiacwarrior: 9:53am On Jun 13, 2021 |
Johanneiyoha: Happy Sunday @johanneiyoha If you decide to deposit money into your mum account and it's not a frequent running account and you don't have a plausible explaination for it vo would see it as a lump sum and this can raise an eye brow. And having a passport is no issue she can use a national ID card, drivers license, NIN. As it is you have 3 options Option 1- using your mum as your sponsor this seems plausible as it increases your chances but note that any lump sum must be accounted for and if possible with documents to prove it. Option 2- you use the NGO as your sponsor but the con of this is you have to explain in details why their going all lengths to sponsor you and what they stand to gain. Option 3- get a Gic certificate but this requires you to pay first year fees and is not a guarantee to getting visa vo has the final say. Hope this helps. |
