yeah, north cyprus is cool but south cyprus is better becos it is under european union and enuf work there for students. north cyprus ok too. CIU is nice . the skool fees is just 2700euros and you nid to deposit just 1700euros to obtain ur acceptance letter which allow you to secure ur transit visa from the turkish embassy in nigeria. but why cant your cousin try turkey. istanbul is more cheaper and more developed and industralized . anyway for cyprus int univer . ur cousine nids just his/her olvel intl pasport and filled application form and application processin fees to obtain the admission . then he/she pays the 1700euro to get the acceptance. if you nid more info contact me on skull4una@gmail.com 17 Likes 2 Shares |

North Cyprus is ok u 'll meet enuff 9ja community in various schools especially emu, America University For job i guarantee you'll survive. Turkey is a bit easier to settle but will be easy to get student visa from north Cyprus than Turkey in Abuja 3 Likes 2 Shares |
Re: North Cyprus by wip: 2:56pm On Nov 16, 2009 |
@vikiviko, south cyprus is far far far better than north cyprus. have you been there before? north cyprus is on US dollar but south cyprus is on EUROS. south cyprus is under EU but north yet to be granted. it is easier to get turkish visa from nigeria why must sombody go to north cyprus to get turkish visa the only diffrence here is that skools are more expensive in southern cyprus cos all skools are in euros why enuf skools are in US dollars in north cyprus. yeah there are jobs in north cyprus but you cant compare that with jobs in southern cyprus, many nigerians do seek assylum in south cyprus if you must know. pls you pple should give correct info to pple, if really u had travelled there b4 , Turkish skools that are government owned are far cheaper than any of these cypruses and more developed . 12 Likes 3 Shares |

@sherrify, have you been to istanbul b4? you know just like any industalized city there are alot of pple in istanbul so many pple rush the job BUT that does it mean you cant get jobs. which part of istanbul do you live? i have gotten about 4 naija guys that entered asian part after a month, they got job with citipal and they are skoolin very close too . so you dont have job doesnt mean others wont have, truout my stay i do work and earn good pay. 4 Likes 1 Share |

@wip the poster is asking about north Cyprus not south Cyprus. i know as a matter of fact that he can easily secure admission with north Cypriot universities and get visa with a Turkish transit. Turkish and South Cyprus is another issue. |

vikiviko: Tx Vikiviko, for that infor. Are you aware of any online community forum for students? wip: Thanks Wip, we also read that on the University admissions site. I should think you also need the living allowance fee for the first year, b4 you can go ahead to apply for a visa , or dont you? |

Read on the CIU website that Tuition is for the whole program, does it mean the 2700 Euros for undergraduate studies covers all d program durations? and is CIU in North Cyprus or South? |
Re: North Cyprus by wip: 6:48pm On Nov 18, 2009 |
@ AMIGOS, you don't need the living expenses to get your visa from Turkish embassy. After you paid the tuition fee deposit of 1700euros to the skool, the skool will send you an acceptance letter showing that you have fulfilled the financial requirement and being accepted to register for courses at the university . then you go get your visa documents like tax clearance, CAC letter etc and make appointment for visa. then you travel. thats all. if you like pay accomodation fees from naija or pay on arrival or sleep in hotels. atleast for your bank statement you nid around 3mill to show you are capable sha but if not your share certificate can compensate. i do hope you are cleared. @ rewa84, the 2700 euros is just for a year and the 1700 euro deposit you make after you are being offerd admission covers the semester fees and VAT, reg etc. after your yr 1 you pay around 2000euros /yr or u can negotiate for instalments payment. 1 Like 2 Shares |

IST, to get admssion into cyprus universities/college for UNDERGRADUATE, , the applicant should be less than 25years of Age. those seeking to study social science or art can choose HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND TOURISM cos the industry is really flourishing around here and living expenses is more cheaper than other european countries. They have nice universities and colleges around in CYPRUS . for those willing to study in southern part against feb 2010, application deadline is 3rd december 2009 while northern part is 30th dec 2009. so anybody interested should start before too late. then to remind you guys, incase you cant get to turkey directly cos of their requirement like SAT, GMAT then you can enter cyprus for the first year and after you meet up CGPA of 2.50 then you can write YOS exam to enter turkey cos their tuition fees are more cheaper. Then along limmassol, you can find nice naija food like amala, ewedu, eba , ogbono and enuf fulani and hausa food even in nicosia. just come over with few dollars then we serve you to the taste, hey island life sweet ohhh 4 Likes |

wip2: Plz do you know maybe there is enough Jobs there for students and the cost of living over there, do you stay there your self? |
Re: North Cyprus by wip2: 4:43pm On Dec 10, 2009 |
@iz2much, yeah i have lived in north and south cyprus before and currently in turkey now. north cyprus is very close to istanbul, turkey and you dont need to have another visa to enter turkey. south cyprus is a bit far. living expenses is low in north compare to the south cos the south spend euros and cyprus pounds while the north spend turkish lira and dollars. in the north if your broda is staying off campus he can get apartment of 80-100dols close to CIU per month. you know apartments are bit expensive in lefkosa cos its close to the school but there are some area in nicosia that are more cheaper than that. but i would not advise him to saty in school cos the accomodation is high but with standard facilities but if he has the money he can stay. so living expenses is around 100-150dols /month for gentle man but for person like me i do spend around 1000dols /month cos i am ajala the traveller. Aspa jobs, there are jobs in the north but jobs they plenty in the south more than the north and you know wages are paid in euros at south which is like 225naira presently in nigeria while dolars in the north which is like 155naira now. you know everything is like luck and GOD. some enter Cyprus without anything on them and after few months or weeks God butter their bread. while others enter and nothing good come their way. has you broda submitted the application for admission? |
