Please if you're in MUN (or have applied to MUN in the past), especially for undergraduate studies, how did you send your documents (WAEC/NECO)? Is it through courier or will admission be given by uploading a scanned copy of the original WAEC or NECO result or do I have to physically send them a physical copy of my NECO result (and any other document required). Please I will appreciate prompt response as I've applied to MUN for over 2 months now and yet to get any feedback from them. Good morning all

They need a copy of your WAEC or NECO certificate (Not result print out) which can be sent via email or you go to WAEC or NECO office and request for your transcript to be sent directly to MUN. I used UPS and it was received in within one wee.

Best of luck

**Urgent, advise as sure and experienced**

Please, what are my chances of convincing the VO of my study, being sponsored by the company where i currently work.
This sponsorhip is under the condition/privilege of a scholarship being granted to me by the company as the Chairman is into empowerment programs in helping people, the needy in my state... And he has decided in the name of the company to give out a scholarship of study abroad to one of his skilled and educated staffs, in which i was privilege amidst many to be the one.
Please how convincing and genuine will this be, with the prove of the scholarship letter and the necessary documents...?

I have been working there since 2011 as clerk due to academic background, while in University, i was working as part-time bcs my uni and company are in the same city, but after my degree, i was promoted...
Few months after that, i got a national service leave from them for my Nysc

And what are the documents i need to upload?

Thank you!

@Frankrobbn1

Happy Sunday @emmalextemtop

Being sponsored by your company doesn't mean your chances are slim but there has to be some commitment from the company e.g paying part of your tuition fees.

You also have to let the vo know why they are sponsoring you and what they stand to gain in return.

Below are the list of documents needed

Sponsor Documents (Company)

1. Letter of Sponsorship
2. Article of association and memorandum
3. CAC CERTIFICATE
4. Particulars of directors in the company
5. Tax Clearance Certificate
6. Company bank statements for the past six (6) months.
7. Board Resolution Letter stating that they are fully aware of this sponsorship and approve it.
8. Affidavit of Support
9. Business invoices

Hope this helps.

@frankrobbn @lekiboboe @justwise and all gurus, at what point is it advisable to withdraw application? My gcms notes shows they haven’t assessed my file at all even after 3 months...

The visa office in Nairobi, Kenya is overwhelmed with applications at the moment due to the rush from Nigerians seeking to relocate/study in Canada. You're not alone in this journey as several applications have been left untouched for the past 5 months without any staggering update on their application. I don't think it's a wise decision to request for a withdrawal at this time. You can make it a daily routine to contact the primary and secondary visa offices in charge of your application via webform to expedite the processing of your application. Another thing is to keep faith and be hopeful for a positive outcome.

Good morning everyone,
Please I was recently refused based on personal assets and financial status. In my application I didn’t state any assets because I felt my dad statement was good enough(60k cad+),so please in my next application, how should I tackle this issue, because I don’t have any property in my name atm. Thank you

Good evening and a happy weekend to you all!

I have a question, I applied for my study permit since the 24th of February, and till now I haven't gotten the "eligibility review" update. I applied for GCMS notes 40days ago, and till now still nothing on that one. I've sent countless messages to IRCC, I only get their generic reply. What do you suggest I do? I am really tired of the whole thing.

Timeline
Feb 24th: Application
Feb 26th: Biometrics updated
May 1st: GCMS notes application
--- no NSE request at all

God save us all

Since you've not been getting real time updates on your file, why not try ordering for the CBSA notes. This notes is more detailed than the regular GCMS notes, and will reveal the entire processes your application has passed through at the Canadian embassy including the information shared with other countries.

Good morning everyone, please I am a newbie here and have some questions to ask
1) please I currently have an Express Entry account. However, I am also applying for a study permit. The section in IMM1924E form that ask the question "Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada" Should it be YES or NO.

2) Should information on property such as deed of assigment for a land be under the proof of financial support section or should be included in client information. A bit confused on where to include certain documents like CAC certificate and Letter of Reference from a previous employer. Please gurus in the house, your response will be really appreciated. Thank you

Good evening my good people.
I have already been granted my study permit, however I am yet to leave for Canada. Whiles here I want to apply for my 6 year old son to join me. On this thread, I have seen people applying for either a study permit or visit visa for their kids.
If I choose to apply for the study permit, on the IMM1294e form(study permit form),
1. do I have to enter the details of my school on the form(since he has to get to Canada first before he is enrolled in school) ?
2. Do I enter the tuition cost etc of my study or I should just indicate that is not applicable.

I regret to hear your study visa was refused by the Canadian immigration department. The refusal reason "Personal Assets and Financial Status" is pointing at your establishment in your home country. The visa officer is concerned that you don't have strong holdings that will compel your return home after studies. As a result, to overcome this concern, you should ask your father to transfer a property to you. The worth of the asset should clearly be declared in the application and strong explanation letter must suffice to elucidate why you can't abandon this property for a stay in Canada.

Please be advised that having an active Express Entry profile without an ITA does not in any way indicate that you've applied to enter or remain in Canada. The answer to this question should be NO, i.e if you've not applied for study permit/visitor's visa before.

Landed property documents are often bulky in nature. If you're unable to compress it to suit into the "Proof of Means of Financial Support", you can move it to the "Client Information" column. Other documents that has to do with finance like CAC, taxes, bank statement should merged and uploaded in the "Proof of Means of Financial Support".

Good evening House.

My application refused for the second time for the following reasons:

I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions in the documents you have submitted in support of your application, as required by subsection 16(1) of the IRPA.

Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: Your answer to Question 2b) on your IMM1294 application form.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

The first rejection was based on course of study not being reasonable with my current profession and academic qualifications, level of establishment, IELTS, Prospect.

Our amiable gurus in the house, what do you advice, should I reapply even though my IELTS expired in April 2021?.

More also, what are the likely implications if I choose to replace my sponsor with another, a cousin, previously my in-law, because my statement of personal finance and asset were flagged in the second application when I had about N6m in it which wasn’t in the first and can’t explain why.

Thanking you in anticipation.
Let ur sponsor give u a letter of sponsorship, signed affidavit of sponsorship, show commitment by paying ur tuition (even if it is just a full term) since ur 6m if no unexplain lumpsum can serve as living expenses and other miscellenous. Then show employment prospects letter from ur work place and use ur family if u are married as home ties if not ur parents and a bonf of return for job can be used as hometies aside propertises.
Finally answer any previous visa rejection truthfully and state reasons in the IMM form and explain it well in ur LOE. Also mention each refusal reason in ur loe and how it has been tackled with documental evidences to corroborate ur story.

Pls house, I need ur kind advise.
I intend to apply for a student visa this month of June, but I had challenges getting a sponsor so I used a friend's NGO as my sponsor, in which they HV paid my tuition deposit of 1,400Cads and intend paying for my accommodation as stated in the SOP, but I still feel uneasy as I prefer using my mum but she doesn't have a passport and she is a building contractor with CAC certificate. Though business isn't booming as expected. What if I look for money and put in her account?
Hw will she be of help.
Pls I need ur responses my Gurus.
Pls don't mind my grammatical errors.
Thanks.
@Frankrobbn1
@JustMellow
Before the gurus comment u can only send a lumpsum into her account if the source can be clearly indicated. What i mean is this the lumpsum can be tied to sale of property such as land car or what ever as the source of the lumpsum with adequate documentatiin to back it up such as sales receipt, sale agreement etc.

Good day house

Please as a self sponsor applicant can mine business partner issue a letter of support on my behave and I can also submit CAC documents which shows that the person is the assistant proprietor of the business

Looking forward to hear from you gurus

Thanks.

Don't give the immigration of Canada the impression that your partner is sponsoring your education in Canada. This sponsorship will be regarded as third party sponsor and as such the question about funds accessibility becomes an issue in your application. The best approach for a case like this is to state that you're self-sponsored and you're the owner of the company which is your primary source of income. Attach only the front page of the CAC certificate, you're covered.

Good evening everyone please I’d appreciate a response. I got letter of acceptance from Algonquin college this month and the I’m to pay my fees before July 23 to get tuition fees receipt and letter of admission . So I can apply for study visa. The problem now is that normally I need to provide proof of funds of 6 months from my sponsor I was wondering whether I can apply for visa December because the program starts Jan 22. So we can build up my sponsor statement of account from June to December. Because when applying you have to provide statement of account backwards 6 months from the date of application. Or whether I’m supposed to apply immediately after I get my letter of admission from the school. @frank and everybody

You should apply when the proof of funds is intact your sponsor's bank account. Please the sponsor should be closely related (spouse, parents or siblings). If after building the funds and you're unable to meet up with the program start date, you've the right to seek for deferment.

It's not a red flag should you don't include your business bank statement or tax clearance certificate with your application. The business registration certificate and invoices are enough evidence to show that you've a business in Nigeria. Now, the storyline as to what you plan to do with this business after your studies in Canada boils down to your letter of explanation. Given that the visa officer's are not custodian of knowledge, you ought to explain every piece of document/information attached with your submission in a detailed and persuasive manner.

Holds ND Accounting (2004), BSc accounting (2008), Msc Policy Analysis (2016), ANAN certificate (2016). Married with 3 kids. The proposed course of study is Masters in Organizational Management in Canada. The main reason for this choice of course is in preparation for managerial position at the place of work. How convincing could this reason be?
Frank opinions please.....

My professional advice for you is to go for Master of Management in International Accounting and Finance at the University of Windsor. This is the best program for your profile and most applications I have efficiently handled were successful with it. Do this and share your success story on this thread.

I don't think there is a correlation between your current employment with your intended program in Canada. Hence the purpose of visit as a ground for refusal.

The visa officer is obviously not satisfied about the reasonableness and lucrativeness of studying the program in Canada when weighed with the existing options available in your home country. Please order for your gcms notes as soon as you can and begin to work on providing a persuasive letter of explanation to address the initial concerns highlighted by the visa officer.
