Most Nigerian youths are LAZY ASSS M'FUVKING YOUTHS. Buhari is right. All they know is to gossip on Twitter, asss shaking challenge and all sorts of time wasting and unproductive acts
Agbegbaorogboye:

Of course it's "Our Responsibility".
But it is a pity when those who should take a lead are the main inhibitors.
Talk like "lazy youth" "misbehaving youths" "dot in a circle" are not the type that helps nation building or engender creativity among the youths.
That said, the business environment in Nigeria is stifling and needs to be opened up seriously.

There are two solutions to this problem
1) Nigeria earns way more in dollars to quench its blood sucking attitude towards imported consumer goods by way of exports

2) locally produced goods are encouraged as substitute for imported goods

Objective 1 can only be achieved if for instance price of crude oil increases to let’s say magically 150$ per barrel so more revenue comes from the sale of crude oil ( because the only thing Nigeria can and will ever sell to anyone outside nigeria is oil )

Objective 2 can never be achieved because objective 2 requires a great manufacturing / industrial revaluation within months if not weeks

Objective 2 involves all of a sudden nigerian producing cars, cranes, motorcycles, iron etc everything Nigerians as at today import

If I was Nigerian president obj 2 looks impossible but much more possible than obj 1.

The easiet way to make a country want to manufacture what It consumes is the free market way. Removal of all entry to trade

No corporate tax on manufacturing companies, ease of doing business, visa on arrival for entrepreneurs and any foreigner, the FG will lose money initially but Nigerians will benefit

Also fix the power, factories need it. Sell one of the power plants to Russia or one of these countries

Power generation is a 19th century problem if you want 10,000 mw of electricity there are some countries that can build power stations for you that within weeks not even months

My two cents

undecided It goes beyond first class economist though that
is pivotal. If the issues of infrastructure, leakages, corruption, rapid and massive industrialization, developing high skilled manpower, stopping multiple taxation especially of SME’s we would never get anywhere.
Most importantly, fixing or building new refineries. It is insane an oil producing country lacks refining capacity when most countries that don’t even produce oil have refineries.
This is not rocket science
LeeSantos:
That's what you get when you use the wrong people.

Their are some things we ought to leave for a first class economist graduates to handle, I don't even know if that would work. Nothing seems to be working in this country.

All these move by the government is not to Increase inflow of foreign exchange to sustain the economy or the value of the naira but to stockpile it for 2023 election.

Lols... Bitcoin rose from $10k to $60k+ within 4 months and fell back to $40k and everyone was shouting crypto have crashed!

But look at NGN fiat losing a whole 51% and somehow the same country banned Bitcoin because they say it's too volatile.

Naira is a big scam and I rather save in Bitcoin than save in naira, soon people will realize crypto is the future and countries will have their foreign reserves in Bitcoin.

This I have seen!

Bitcoin is a technocrats rip-off strategy. A very volatile store of value. Just buy dollars and store in armored cave. grin
